« Quick stay in St Malo »

We spent 3 nights at the hotel after taking a quick trip over to St Malo. We have only stayed in the F1 hotel in st Malo as an overnight stop as we are always travelling to the Vendee. The hotel was excellent,, nice welcome and very clean, the breakfast was superb with so much choice and a very good price. The wonderful Madeleine shopping centre was fantastic and nice to be able to walk there. Ideal hotel to stay with plenty of eating places close.

We arrived and walked straight in thanks to self check in. The room(133)was immaculate and in a quiet location as requested. The only disappointment, and I can’t understand why because of the high number of English speaking clientele this hotel must have, was that apart from BBC World News there were no other English speaking tv channels. Come on Accor you can do better than this.

We have stayed at the Ibis, La madeleine, St Malo many times and enjoyed our stay with friendly staff to greet us and help with anything we need. Unfortunately, our stay last week end from 10th to 12th November was not the same as we have enjoyed in the past. The young women on the reception desk was very unfriendly and unhelpful and should not be in this job as it is most disappointing when arriving to feel unwelcome.

New pillows are not comfy and are like inflated balloons. The new unattached mattress toppers slide off the bed and caused my husband to fall out of bed during the night.

As ever we were well looked after. This time we had a room in the new area near reception. Lovely room and wet room. However the heating system needs attention as we could not turn down the heat in the room which was uncomfortable. Wet room was fine.
