« OK but not as good as I remember »

Disappointed to find that my room didnt have tea and coffee making facilities. Aparently I should have booked a higher grade room even though this one was 25 Euros more than I paud the last time I visited.Hotel no longer provides a free bus transfer to the airport. Has started charging for the return journey even thought the journey yo the hotel is free. Strange policy and comes across as being "cheap".

it might be close to the airport , and have a shuttle bus, but they are no where near to Mercure Standards. As a silver card holder, each time ( this was my second or third time) I had to ask for a better room, despite the upgrade being available. And they charge their clients euro 18 per night for car park. Ridiculous.

Hotel usually good, but this time I got the wrong upgrade, a very bad smelling room (300) an looks like somebody got a bad night and the room wasn't right cleaned, not only visual rest, also real bad smellingin case of interesting you can get a picture of it

« OK stay - not by choice... »

i had to pick a business partner up at the airport the next morning.The restaurant (diner and breakfast) was very good and very nice staff.The rooms were less than average and when I asked for an extra pillow and a hard one (the ones in the room are so old and can hardly be considered as pillows), I was told there is no other pillow available.

It was very early morning and I was afraid of staying at the lobby for some hours. But, the kind staff allowed to check in early. I appreciate it. And, the breakfast was good. Only one thing is fee for the transportation to the airport.

« Does not live up to its description »

This airport hotel is not very convenient for an overnight stay at Frankfurt airport. While they have a shuttle, we arrived at a time when we were tired (my son recovering from a serious bicycle accident), so decided to take a taxi. It cost 20 Euros for what supposedly was a 3 km ride with no traffic (22:30 hrs). It is located in an industrial area and has no access to local stores, restaurants or other amenities.

« Great and Economical Place to Stay near FRA Airport »

No surprises, the usual good to very good Mercure Hotel, furnished as usual and the usual amenities. I am talking to Accor members who know these hotels. Worthwhile to mention: there is an in-door pool and an exercise room, very nice; it's air conditioned; it is quiet; it has an Airport shuttle (3 Euros to the Airport); the price for an overnight stay is quite reasonable and very competitive with other hotels in the vicinity. The vicinity/surroundings are industrial; so the hotel is great for one or two nights because of the Airport vicinity, but not suited for a vacation stay. On-line check-in and fast check-out did not work for me, most likely because of insufficient training of the front desk Mercure employee on duty in the morning. But I have mentioned this to the hotel and it should not influence you decision to stay there. The hotel bar offers drinks and fast food, reasonable, the restaurant has a nice and more fancy menu, a little pricey, but o.k. Two tips: (1) very nearby, across from Edeka, is the restaurant

« A few days stay. »

I was in Germany on business and found the Mercure comfortable and convenient for my needs. The restaurant served quite good food with the option of eating outdoors on a terrace. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi was good. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good. I didn't take advantage of the pool, but it looked very nice. There is an adjacent nature area with trails that was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I used the shuttle to the airport on my last day there and it was a few minutes late but got to the airport in a timely fashion, stopping at other hotels along the way. Over all, very nice. I would stay there again.

« The property is fine, the bus service isn’t fine »

The bus service from the airport is inefficient. The first time I used it , it was supposed to be there on the half hour, but didn’t show up till more than an hour late. The second time, it didn’t show up at all. Shortly after I called the hotel, some lady came by the bus waiting area to say the bus was broken and to take a taxi, for which I was repaid. When returning to the hotel, the front desk persons were not aware the bus was down until I told them, and then they could see someone was trying to fix the bus in the parking lot.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet, the amenities and coffee maker and TV were all in good working condition. A big plus was the local fresh trout dish at the restaurant. Will use this particular Frankfurt Airport hotel again. The hotel shuttle was reliable as well.

The hotel offers decent rooms in the near vicinity of the hotel. I stay here at least once a year because of its location. It’s nothing special, but has the basics in good shape: nice rooms, pool and the breakfast is above norm! All in all: good.

« Platinum member worst stay ever! »

Booked this hotel after missing my connecting flight. Maintenance is a word unknown to the hotel just like the word 'hospitality'. The staff is not to blame probably, however management is. I noticed the hotel is charging 7.80 for a bottle of water and unexpectedly charging for the shuttle where it was advertised as free, I took a taxi for 13 euro. I discussed the cost for the bottle of water and was promised they would credit me points what I do not care (I already have almost 40000 points) HOWEVER they didn't, instead my credit card is charged for 7.80 euro for the bottle water AFTER I left!! This is completely disrespectful #accor I hope this is really an exception, I am staying in lots of different hotels, and a significant share are Accor hotels, not always perfect, but I am treated respectful always.

« Horrible Transport from Airport to Hotel »

After waiting for an hour at the Frankfurt airport for a van/bus it was quite chaotic since this transport completes pickups for both the Mercure & Ibis. It makes it difficult to board this bus, because by the time the bus arrived many many people were trying to get on the bus in any order 'they' wished and I had to argue with a few people who had just shown up at the curb to catch the bus, and was attempting to explain my waiting time, and that I should be boarding this bus, as no one was there when I 'originally' arrived. When I called the hotel directly to have an estimated time of pickup first no one picked-up the phone, & then someone did, & purposefully, hung the phone up. Aside very difficult transport offering to hotel, the staff was efficient, welcoming & room was comfortable, unfortunately it no longer has a refrigerator in the room like it did months ago, & this Mercure reflects almost the same as an Ibis with space & amenities. The rooms interiors need an update, as they lack the lighting you would need if you're working at the desk.

« Airport hotel with shuttle bus but not free anymore. »

I booked the hotel as I used to stay here before. I liked that they had free shuttle bus operating at least once an hour to and from the airport. However, it is not free anymore. From hotel to the airport, it costs 3 EUR per person now. I am Accor Gold member. I had to ask for room upgrade. It was not done automatically like other Accor hotels. Then, I was told that, because I was upgraded, the minibar is not free for me.

Gym machines broken. Sauna out of order. Water degree in the pool was not as indicated. I even was dissapoited with how the situation was handled by the manager after I emailed and told him about the disappointment.

I will never stay here again. The hotel itself is nice and the value of one night stay and 2 weeks of free parking is a great deal. However the poor staff experience and brand inconsistency in the loyalty program + shuttle service were a bad experience. I’m a silver member and did not receive my benefits nor was I offered anything such as late check-out etc. I did not receive my free drink vouchers either which would have come in handy so I didn’t have to pay €7 for 2 25cl bottles of apple juice - I have never experienced this in France/Belgium but this is the 2nd time I stay at an Accor property in Germany and received the same poor brand experience. My second complain is the airport shuttle. It only leaves 2x an hour and after 9h - only once per hour. Due to confusion with The front desk we missed our first shuttle and nearly missed our 2nd since the front desk could not clearly tell us or explain the location of the pickup. This gave us a 45 Minutes delay in reaching the airport and was extremely stressful. When we arrived at the airport I was informed they don’t drop anyone at terminal 2 and that I would have to get off and take yet another bus to terminal 2...this completely defeats the convenience of an airport hotel with shuttle. It would have been easier to take a taxi or Uber. This completed my terrible experience at this property...I still have to return to get my car after my trip and will have to go through the same hassle (jet lagged after a 10 hour flight back from the USA) - take a shuttle from terminal 2 to terminal 1, then wait for the shuttle which runs once an hour ( so I will probAbly wait at least 1 hour for the shuttle) and then finally arrive back at my car to drive home.

Had to stay at Mercure Kelsterbach. The stay was devastating and horrible. Unprofessional front desk. had to wait for several minutes though many staff were idle. Leaking hand shower, unclean toilet. Absolute waste of money

« Quiet and comfortable »

Not far from airport, comfortable, good restaurant and excellent wine list...Slow service in restaurant because only one waitress who was doing her maximum. Welcome of the staff excellent, both in reception and restaurant.
