« good beds, except some loud noise at 6 am - kitchen? »

Would be great to have a kettle to make some tea before going to bed. That would really be luxury for us Brits. Even if other nations don't need it, I would love to have the choice of taking a tray to the bedroom. Love your breakfast!

« We found it »

My sat nav took us to the wrong hotel but luckily a local lady re-directed us.Friendly welcome and room close to front desk.Room clean as we expected and comfortable for a short stoppover.The only complaint was TV did`nt have BBC we keep finding CNN an american station so must assume they have hoards of Yanks as guests,and not many Brits.Bar was fine and food adequate.

« Good position close to motorway. »

Our stay was as expected, easy to find and close to the motorway. The room was fine and quiet, however the restaurant was closed and it was lucky for us and other guests that the Portuguese restaurant next door was open.

Very pleased with this hotel, would certainly stay here again. Excellent food and a very nice room - even the shower worked well! We arrived later than expected but no problem was encountered with anything.

« Poor service,under staffed Restaurant/ Bar »

On our first night I ordered a Martini Rouge for my wife ,When tasted it was rancid, when I challenged the waiter as to the poor condition of the Martini he ignored my complaint and left the out dated bottle on show on the Bar it was still there 4 days later We did not eat again in the restaurant.

The room we had been allocated and given a key for had not been cleaned nor had the bed been made up and we had to be given another room. the USB plug did not work, my adaptor got stuck in an ordinary plug and i could not remove it, the towels are decidedly cheap and small and there was no hand towel. The outside of the hotel is very shabby and not at all inviting, although the rooms were not too bad.

« Convenient location and good restaurant »

We have stayed many times before and have always been satisfied with the service and the rooms. Ibis rooms are not the largest in town, but are fine for a one-night stopover. The hotel is ideally placed right by the motorway exit. Just one or two 'niggles': I am a gold card holder, but we were not offered the usual complimentary drink for bar or restaurant; we had communicated with the hotel online about restaurant booking - in our perfectly acceptable French - so why or why do they insist in using English and offering us an English menu.? Basic rule: if the client speaks French, stay in that language. If they struggle, switch to French. Simple etiquette, really. Service otherwise very polite and helpful.

Beeds comfortable. Shower very good. Dinner and breakfast enjoyable. Ideal lcation for trip to and from UK/Italy to break trip up. All in all indeal just missed AC which would have been good given the warm summer.

« We’ve stayed here several times »

Because we’ve stayed here several times it’s a convenient place to stay. However, this time we were a bit disappointed because there was no food available !! No chef/cook !! For a large hotel chain this is a bit below par when you’re catering for tourists, many of whom use it as a stopover for the ferry/tunnel. Better shift planning needed. Otherwise everything else was up to it’s usual high standards.

« One of the worst stays ever in an Ibis hotel »

The room was adequate but the meal in the restaurant was the worst meal We have ever had in France. My Guinea fowl was overcooked as were the fries, the plain burger ordered came with cheese, the pizza was so hard it was nearly edible. The peaches I ordered for dessert were so hard a knife wouldn't cut them and the caramel was burnt. The creme brûlée looked like a pancake and the texture of it was hard. A dreadful meal costing almost 70 euros.

« Disappointed restaurant closed »

Arriving Sunday night having driven 500 miles, the restaurant was closed. You advertise a restaurant and that is why I stay at this hotel. This is not the first time this has happened. Very disappointed.

« Pleasant »

The stay was fine. However, I am very disappointed in the on-line booking process. I logged-in as a member and made the reservation only to discover later that the automatic discount for members had not been applied. On contacting the Accor Hotel help desk they blamed the individual hotel for the error and not their web site. Basically they just shrugged their shoulders to a client who has been using their facilities for many years!
