Check in was excellent. Quick and friendly. Room was near the lifts and was slightly noisy on the first night. My room card stopped working 4 times so i had to go down and get a new one.

Good overall, simple no frills room. Great location. Only problems I found were: 1. room is just too small.....no place to put a suitcase let alone 2 and/or a couple of carry ons. 2. Shower is open style which still does not make sense to me.....water always gets out on the floor; but worse was a very bad water control handle location.....downright dangerous. It is right at the lower hip height on the door side (never seen such a thing before.....and for good reason!) so easy to bump in to......especially if you are not familiar with the relatively small shower space. Twice I bumped in to it as I turned around in the shower and felt the burn.......AND THE SINGLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL HANDLE ITSELF IS EASILY BUMPED AND IF IN THE DIRECTION OF HOT WILL PUT SUPER HOT WATER THRU THE SHOWER. Luckily I realized this quickly because of the super hot fixture I bumped in to....and was very careful from then on in. But for sure the bigger you are the better chance of bumping in to a hot water control handle that is super lightweight and moves easily. Front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. I would stay there again.....just with much less luggage....perfect for EU short trip travelers with their small carry-on bags.

« BASIC ACCOMODATION »

Ibis Montmartre was a basic hotel. Not much to be expected. You have a bed with pillows and blanket as needed and towels with a floor mat as well. There was an all in one soap, shampoo in the bathroom. And the glasses provided were plastic! :( Breakfast was the same all through out our stay. Their croissants were good but loved the madeleines the most. They were simply divine. But you get so used to it by the 3rd day. I hope they introduce some changes daily. Special mention is given to Diego at reception was very accommodating and even attended to our clogged bathroom sink. The lady at the reception of the restaurant where we have our breakfast is very nice too. Even allowing me to take some croissant and madeleines with me. :D The hotel is very basic but the staff's hospitality and being very nice made up for whatever they lacked. Thanks Ibis!

Breakfast was great. Room/bed was comfortable. The room is small with not much room for our luggage, but, we were comfortable and slept well there. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly.

I booked and paid for the 5 rooms in January and specified twin beds as we were all male guests, when we arrived we found they were all double beds which was awkward to say the least, and the room I was given was a disabled room with a wet room and a low difficult to use shower which I did not book. When we asked to swap rooms we were told that the hotel was full and had no chance of moving, with which the attitude of the staff was appalling at the time. With much deliberation we did however manage to swap 2 of the rooms which they managed to find empty!!! I do not understand that due to me booking so far in advance the hotel managed to get the booking wrong. I have stayed in the same hotel 5 or 6 times in the past and been more than happy and recommended it to others which I will probably not do in the future!

« My stay at IBIS Paris was comfortable and the front office guys were helpful. »

Room was comfortable. However, IBIS does not provide with drinking water or a kettle in the room which was inconvenient. Location is good, close to metro and many restaurants. Breakfast was ok.
