The staff are excellent at Ibis Narbonne from the moment you arrive at reception through to leaving. Bar staff and waitresses are excellent and friendly and all spoke English Recommend this Ibis. It is the best we have styed at.

Excellent and friendly hotel good location for the coast and inland visitor attractions but was let down for us as the restaurant menu which had nothing for my wife who is vegetarian but eats Fish which was meat orientated .

We have stayed at the Ibis Narbonne at least 5 or 6 times a year as a stopover to and from Spain for the last 7 years. The Courte Paille was very convenient on site and we always ate there. This year it has been replaced by La Boucherie. We did eat there and were very disappointed as there was a limited choice for those who are not beef and steak eaters. We would not eat there again.

Efficient, friendly welcome. Safe, free, overnight parking. Comfortable room. Easy access to centre of Narbonne - to dine and attend Faure concert in strangely impressive Cathedral. Copious breakfast. Very small rooms but excellent beds. Only problem, not of Ibis making, early closure of Archbishop's Palace museums from Monday evening to Wednesday, Tuesday being a somewhat illogical choice for national closures! Guarantees a return visit!

« Very disappointed to find the Courtepaille Restaurant closed for refurbishment. »

Why at the time of booking - direct on the Accor website - could we not be advised that the restaurant was closed. We would not have booked if we had known. Had to go to the Novotel for dinner which was very poor. Can't remember the exact wording on the menu but it suggested that the fish was prepared on site. I am sure it was not but frozen. Service was very poor and short staffed. The restaurant design is dreadful and done in such a way as to suit the Restaurant and not the guest. Too many curtains behind which staff can hide and not be aware of guests. Set out of restaurant very unprofessional, for example the first table is for one or two but in the middle offering no seclusion to single guests and almost in the entrance so everybody had to pass on entering and leaving. Large tables were situated against the wall instead of in the middle. Just not professional at all.

We stopped for one night en route to Spain. We had 2 dogs with us. Hotel room was far too small. Beds were small.hotel was on the 1st floor which made it difficult to carry dog's beds and our luggage and the dogs. It would be helpful if hotels who agree to pets coming and charge for their stay, tp provide convenient facilities. A ground floor room with easy access to outside and mor spacious rooms. Noisy night with people coming and going in the car park late at night.

We stay at the IBIS In Narbonne on our way to and from Spain several times a year. It is always a good experience and we always have a meal at the adjoining restaurant which is very convenient.we would recommend it to family and friends.

This hotel is undergoing modernization, clean nice rooms but the design of the new bathrooms needs to be reviewed. High step up shower unit, no anti slip surface and hold on rails. As a result I slipped and was injured. I have now gone to hospital and come back out with a broken foot and 2 broken ribs!!!
