This hotel is not the Ritz but the view of the beach from our room, normally I would score the hotel a *** but the view, the staff and the swimming pool facility i can't fault.The room itself is cosy, clean and adequate, should be interesting to see what the hotel is like when it has been updated.

All was OK staff were very polite and helpful, the accommodation was clean tidy, the breakfast was adequate, the bed mattress was a little uncomfortable, but there again nothing can replace the home comfort of a bed so all in all OK = 8 points...

Great location and value, and the new pool is absolutely amazing. Rooms and general areas are very dated and several things in our room didn't work / didn't work properly

« I do like to be beside the seaside! »

The location was perfect but you definitely need a second floor room to experience the best of the hotel. The domestic staff keep the rooms spotless and the catering staff are a joy especially Helene.

« A much needed recuperation »

We visited the Ibis at Le Touquet for the rest we knew we would have. My husband has been medically compromised for much of this year & the peaceful atmosphere and the unhurried pace helped both of us. The improvements to the pool are going well & we look forward to their completion. The restaurant was as usual excellent for breakfast & an evening meal. The views of the sea were as usual very calming from the balcony. 5 nights of restful sleep were most welcome.

« Relaxing short break »

Another excellent stay at Le Touquet Ibis. Comfortable rooms with balcony looking out over the beach gives a great opportunity to relax and chill out. The mattress toppers make for an excellent sleep. The restaurant has a good menu and an excellent Plat du Jour, which changes every day. Some of the fittings and decoration are a little tired, but since the hotel is closing for renovations over the autumn/winter improvements will only add to the experience. I would like to add that all the hotel and restaurant staff are happy, friendly and only too willing to help. Another great stay!

« Room very small and disappointing »

Space was so limited especially by side of bed near balcony, had to shuffle sideways (I am slim) to reach bedside table. The toilet was so near the wall that you had to sit slightly sideways. Our room 216 was adjacent to Dining Room and at 4am on Sunday 9 September 2018 we were awakened by loud voices coming from the Foyer area. Breakfast and Dining Room were excellent. Considering the premium paid for the Ibis hotel's position near the sea, one should not expect room conditions to be as stated.

« Expensive and scruffy. The breakfast hadn't been replenished at 9am so there wasn't much to eat. »

Compared to the Calais Ibis which is a lower grade, this one was terrible. In need of updating at €175 euros one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. When we arrived our room had been given to someone else so there was a lot of waiting about and phone calls. The place was not clean. Very scruffy indeed and not a nice experience at all.

« An excellent stay! »

We were so impressed with the attention of the staff. The receptionist when we arrived on Sunday had not only changed our room to a better one following a cancellation, but also took note of me saying that we were there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and so the following night (the day of our anniversary) we were given a complimentary glass of champagne. We were very touched. Also, all the waiting staff wished us 'bon anniversaire' which was very thoughtful. Well done to that receptionist!

« Excellent, just wish the swimming pool had been open or a discount given to compensate. »

Everything was great except that the swimming pool wasn't open for our stay (and we weren't warned at the time of booking). We were emailed (in French) in advance of our stay to warn us that it wouldn't be open but given that was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel I felt we should have been offered a reduced rate to reflect the reduced services. There were a few windy days where we couldn't take our baby onto the beach so it was a shame the pool wasn't available. Staff were lovely, rooms exactly as described.

It is not not my first stay at Ibis hotel. The staff at restaurant , breakfast (even too early usually on weekends it Should be later to 10.30. The check in was not bad .... The check out was excellent and professional.

Some rooms have been renovated; others not.Make sure you get one that has been renovated.The overall structure (eg the halls) needs a face-lift too.The only plus here is that it's right on the beach.

Service was excellent, personnel extremely helpful and available. The hotel will need a little TLC but the standard was good overall. The beach proximity and the wonderful staff made up for the rest. Great stay

« B/H weekend »

Once again this Ibis hotel dissapointed me. the reception staff are unfreindly & unwelcomming . As a Silver member i pre-registered as requested 2 days before mt arrival & notified thet i would arrive before noon but on arrival i was told the room would not be ready until 4pm!!! so whats the point ! Niether was i offered the complimentry drink Silver mebers are entitled to! Ive stayed in many Ibis hotels in europe & this is the worst if it wasnt a great location & the spa,which on this occassion was shut, i wouldnt return.

« Time to refresh the building »

The hotel is in a prime spot and has obviously been well used over the years and is now due to get a full renovation. The sea view room we had also had a boardwalk right outside the window and so we had to keep the curtains closed as people were quite literally just outside and happy to stare into the room. Holes in the curtains about summed it up but the room charge is right up there at the top end for an IBIS hotel. Very disappointed, but the only saving grace was the staff who were very good. I would rate the IBIS close to the eurotunnel in Calais to be far superior in hotel quality and obviously a vast difference in cost but that is in part down to the location.

« Great location, shame about the room »

The hotel is in a great location on the beach, and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. However, our room was not so great. The bath had patches of what looked like rust on the inside, and was very small. The whole room felt dated. Definitely not worth €155 a night.
