« The swimming pool was being repaired, the food was average, the room was old style. The service was excellent. »

The service was excellent. The hotel needs refreshing and new decor and furniture in very small rooms and bathrooms. The menu and food need to reflect the location offering new cuisine with healthy options. The breakfast was excellent. Most importantly the swimming pool needs to be functional.

Having booked a room with a view we were allocated an awful roo 50m along a dark corridor with only a view of a high grass bank. On questioning this I was told it was a "mistake" and was moved to a room nearer the stairs and with a sea view

Poor Check in experience, we had to pay our stay before hand, never did that before. I did check in online before arrival, why do I have to provide card details at desk? Why did I have to pay beforehand? Staff told us that dinner was between 7:00 and 7:15!!

« Extremely disappointing »

The whole experience of the stay was disappointing. One of the primary reasons we chose this hotel was because of the availability of a swimming pool. However, we were only informed that the swimming pool was closed for refurbishment once the booking had already been made, this in my eyes is akin to false advertising and misleading the costumer. The initial room we were offered smelled very strongly of tobacco smoke, we complained and were given another room without so much as an apology. The reception staff member saw that we had a young child with us but was still happy to offer us a smoking room!? This sums up the customer service, and to be frank intelligence of some of the staff present. The accommodation area of the hotel smelled, was old and generally unkept (stained carpet, bad odour and general untidiness). The rooms are very outdated and again dirty and poorly maintained. in our room the curtains were stained, the bath was stained, the carpet was stained and by the radiator there were wet patches. Furthermore, our nights were periodically disturbed by dogs, of other guest, barking. Considering that we paid premium prices for our stay, our expectations were not met at all in anyway.

« Nice Hotel »

Very nice hotel, well located. Connections to the Spa very easy access to the white sandy beach. Expresso at the Bar was Nespresso, but only one choice available and very very expensive, 4.55 Euro. Ridiculous, probably to cover the free tea they give away at the same location.

The location is without comparison, very nice. The room was adequate and met my expectations. The noise from the room above us was quite loud and the breakfast was a little below my expectations.

Whilst we enjoyed our stay at the hotel ( one of many) this was overshadowed by the room we were allocated at the back of the hotel. It was abundantly clear that the hotel was far from full and the reason for booking was to enjoy a sea view.

Having stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, I was very disappointed this time. My room was not clean and the chairs and table on the small terrace had not been cleaned for months not was the terrace swept. Used tissues were under the sink in the bathroom. I read in my room that breakfast (drink and croissants) were served until 12h00. When I arrived at 11h10, I was told the coffee machines were being cleaned and breakfast ended at 10h00.

Having stayed on numerous occasions here, this time I was very disappointed. The cleanliness of the bathroom was not up to scratch. Breakfast not available at 11h00 - though in the room it said it was available until 12h00. This hotel is old and needs to be refurbished.

Good experience, but room cleaning not up to standards: no xtra toilet paper, no replacement of plastic cups..., bathrobes and slippers for men instead of women (although it was made clear when making the booking months ago ).

« Just what we wanted »

We wanted a day/night away in France with our grandson and his partner with an economic price but comfortable. This is what we were given with an extremely comfortable bed. No BBC World available on the TV. Slight problem with check out since they did not seem to know the terms of our booking or that we had paid in advance but that was soon sorted. Good breakfast.
