We had a very warm reception. The hotel staff was very informative and helpful. There was always someone available to answer questions and they made our stay really wonderful. From those who would greet us at the door, to the front desk staff and the staff that made sure our room always looked amazing, your hotel knows how to take care of their guests. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. My girls and I just loved staying with you.

« A fiasco »

I explicitly told Christian and he understood that I did not want to be near the construction, that we were jetlagged and tired and just wanted a room to sleep. Then he wanted 50 euro extra for a room with a balcony where he said that we could smoke, it felt like a hard sell, but we were tired and just wanted to sleep, so I agreed and signed a contract. After waiting for hours for the room, we were abruptly awakened by very loud pounding and grinding construction noises right next door. Then we had to wait and wait some more to move to another room, etc, etc, at this point I regretted staying at the Scribe but I had a prepaid reservation, so I stood to lose over 1000 euro if I left, plus the 50 euro extra per night that the reception would not take back, although the new room did not have a balcony, because all rooms with a balcony are near the construction. I fell that Christian’s desire to sell the 50 euro extra was more important than our well-being.

« Great location - living through extensive renovations »

I have started at this hotel at least 20 times, yet every time I check in I am asked if it’s my first visit. The check in experience was slow, and despite doing online checkin and clearly identifying I would arrive before noon, the room that I had been assigned (as a platinum Accor member) was not ready. When I asked for another room they were able to accommodate that request. This should have (and could have) been done though before my arrival to provide a better experience, I love the location and am happy that there are much needed renovations going on. I feel that the service also needs some work.

Not pleasant at all completely dissatisfied; upon reserving my stay there were no mention that hotel was under big renovation ( mobile App. ), additionally when I checked in online I asked for a specific room 3 days prior to my arrival ( didn't receive any answer), and at the check in counter I was asked to pay extra. Elevators were not completely functional ( all of them were down for few hours in some few days)

The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Hotel is also very clean. We appreciate the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but the room we stayed in was not 5 Star. The bed was extremely uncomfortable - felt like we were sleeping lopsided. As a result we didn’t get much sleep and left feeling quite tired. The bathroom & cupboard doors were difficult to open and close. Shower quite difficult to step in and out of. Soft drinks very overpriced.
