Very comfortable, spacious rooms. Have stayed at this hotel for quite a few years, many visits. Bedding is sumptuous. Bathrooms are clean and modern.

Pleasantly surprised by our stay at Scribe. Room was clean and spacious. Loved the nespresso machine, Evian waters and teas. Pillows and bed were soft. Loved the robes and slippers and Hermès bath products. Customer service was excellent from the cleaning staff to the bellhops to the front desk staff. Camile at the front desk was extremely helpful with tips and recommendations for navigating the city. The umbrellas were helpful on a Rainy day. The construction was not a problem and did not bother us. There was one day that the elevator was out of service. The only negative was we saw one roach on the wall near the water station at the breakfast buffet on level -1. I imagine with the breakfast buffet on the basement that this is bound to happen but it was a bit unappetizing. That said, we enjoyed the multitude of options offered at the breakfast buffet. Thank you for offering free WiFi and a computer in the lobby. We would stay here again if visiting Paris.

I made sure write and let the staff know this is my second stay at the hotel. And for a very special occasion, my honeymoon. The person who checked me in gave me the worst room , I am usually passive but I had to call and switch rooms after the first night. The bathroom was so small, and due to the tub being high, I thought I was going to fall out and hit a wall. I called the front desk and Finally a nice gentleman showed me a better room in the same category and mentioned the spa that we had no idea we could use. Overall , if I am a loyal customer, who signed up for a membership program , and I am returning for a special occasion... at the VERY LEAST I should have given a room that was not the ugliest in the whole hotel! With the inconvience of the construction as well, I feel like the hotel should make the stay MUCH more comfortable for the guests as well. I would like to say the bartender and waiter at the bar on Christmas Eve night we’re both very friendly , attentive and wonderful customer service. I unfortunately am SO disappointed I do not think I will return to any Accor hotels if this is the type of customer service provided to members. Nor will I refer.

Having stayed on a number of occasions with my husband, Peter Bennison, I found the room comfortable but a bit dingy. I was disappointed at the level of benefits provided for Silver Accor members - much less than in New Zealand. I felt that this was particularly poor given the disruption of the renovations which reduced the amenity of the hotel considerably.

The hotel was close to tHe Opeta house which was the purpose of our visit together with the shops. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful. The only problem was not being able to use the stairs instead of lifts. The friend I travelled with was on the 3rd floor I was on the 2nd but we couldn’t get to each other’s floor in the lift using the room card.

« If this is your luxury room , I hate to imagine what the standard room looks like . »

I booked a luxury room with spa access for eight nights , I was assigned room # 229 . A tiny room with hardly any closet space and a strange 1.5 m high window . I called the reception to inquire if this was a mistake and the young lady politely responded that this was the largest "LUXURY" room available (30 Sq. meters) and even if I upgraded to a club room for additional cost the club rooms are also 30 sq meters . Reluctantly we accepted our fate and remained in 229 for the duration . The Scribe used to be one of my favorite hotels in Paris and I stayed there many times in in the 1980s and 90s , always in elegant , good sized and comfortable rooms . Room 229 (definitely not 30 square meters ) was not the five star standard I expected from the Scribe and cannot be labelled as a luxury room in any five star hotel anywhere in the World .

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for another wonderful stay at the Hotel Scribe. I have stayed at your hotel at least 12 times over the last 10 years. I generally travel to Paris every year in December before Christmas to enjoy the wonderful holiday season! Special thanks to Anne at check-in and Marie-Louise at check-out who provided excellent customer service. A very special Merci to Morgane, the best Concierge! Morgane is very knowledgeable about the area, very kind and provides the extra effort and special care to ensure each and every guest is treated like part of the Sofitel family. I consider her my Parisian friend -- she was very helpful on Saturday, December 8, as guests were a bit apprehensive (including myself) to go out while the city-wide demonstrations were taking place. Special praise and a Big Thank You to the the security team on Saturday. I noted many worked long hours and then were back early Sunday morning. They were wonderful in providing extra support for the hotel during the day-long demonstrations. I felt very safe and at completely at ease. They are also very hospitable and greet each guest with a big smile. I am confident the renovations will enhance the beauty of your hotel. I did not experience any unusual noise during my stay (granted I left early in the morning and returned in the evening to experience everything Paris has to offer during this magical time of year). Looking forward to my return to Paris next December. I will recommend Hotel Scribe to everyone I know who wants to visit your beautiful city. Also, I can't tell you how thoughtful it was to find Scribe souvenirs and delicious chocolates/macaroons when I returned to my room last night. It made the end of my trip even more special.
