I received a very old room and the preparation of the arrival was assigned to a wrong person and we took 15 minutes to find the correct one.

« The front desk staff was rude and not helpful. »

Arrived from an overnight flight to find the our reservation had been canceled. Zero help offered from the desk getting the problem resolved. When we retreived a conformation by email and phone - No apology was offered when it was determined your reservation desk was at fault. Hotel was under noisy construction, no help from the desk when I asked to transferred to another property. I was told the other properties were completely booked. When I pointed out availability on internet booking sites the gentleman went behind a closed door and came back to offered me a room at a rate 100 euro more expensive than I could book online. I found another hotel that was comfortable, quiet and the staff was kind. I’m in the hospitality business; I’ve owned a restaurant and catering company for 24 years. It is not only important to make my guests feel welcome it has always been a great pleasure for me. It was disheartening to see a staff so unified in their distain for the service business. I have been maarried to a Frenchman for 25 years, speak your language and love your country and culture. I hope my experience, my first, with the Sofitel brand was a one off. Best, Elaine DiDiacomo

The suite was terrific and thank you for the upgrade. Can't wait to get pictures of the hotel after the remodel. Doorman was not as engaging as the rest of the staff. Ignored other family and us when we needed a taxi Sunday night. Seemed put upon when asked to find one.

I can hear the neighbor talking pretty clearly! Also the day time construction noise is annoying. House keeping problem: the company coffee tea and bathroom supplement are not daily refilled.

Hotel was very nice. Parts of it were undergoing renovations during our stay, which was somewhat awkward, but it did not create any problem or inconvenience. Rooms and facilities were nice. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was good, but up high above the floor, which was strange, and it was not fully covered by the shower door, allowing water to escape. The toilet was in a separate room from the sink, which was awkward, and it did not flush completely due to improper water flow and pressure. Morning breakfast was very good and had a broad selection of different food. Spa was often closed and somewhat confusing. Staff was extremely friendly. Location was good, near the Opera district and Metro station.

Great reception staff.... ALWAYS very welcoming, polite and will do what it takes to make you feel comfortable, my net didnot work - and they reacted fast.. so very pleased. Nice staff in the bar - Know a couple of them for many years.. but the new ones have maybe to brush up the English.

From check in to departure staff was great. Concierge was helpful in locating a nearby casual cafe. The only complaint was the construction sounds but the noise was not too bad but we understand it’s necessary. Also breakfast was quite good. Last but not least the location was wonderful.

« The concierge was not helpful »

The service was good and the room was comfortable. But the concierge was really really bad. We asked about a restaurant and she said it didn’t have reservations. When we asked for alternatives she said “all restaurants like this Don’t have reservations” and she’s sent us to a bakery where you stand up when we asked for a place to have breakfast. And when we asked for a creperie she waited till very very late to tell us it might be closed. It was closed and we were late to our plans after dinner. She didn’t suggest alternatives or seem to care about what we wanted from Paris.
