« Disappointed restaurant closed »

We have stayed at the hotel before and enjoyed being able to leave our dog in the hotel bedroom whilst enjoying a meal in the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately it was a bank holiday and the restaurant was closed. The receptionist was very helpful and booked a table at a local restaurant that would take dogs. Had we been told there was no restaurant we would have gone elsewhere.

The location is excelent, 15 mim walking from the Dijon Ville train station! The reception area was being in constructin but it doesn’tbother the stay! Breakfast good! The staff is nice. Excelent value for the money!

Perfect to visita the city center. Just few minutes from the main attractions of the center and also very nice restaurants around. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable.

« hotel very well situated, quiet - nice rooms »

1) it's a pity staff doesn't greet customers at all when at breakfast, neither on arrival nor when leaving (in 4 days one one exception monday morning at arrival). 2) technical problems by checking out - the total amounts of my points (am member, card ibis business 30…5666) couldn't be registered. Vincent (at the reception) had to call the technical service who told him to try again in 2hrs ! Fortunately I was going to town again (what if customer has to leave right away ??) and when I came back he could only register part of my points. I find the service (respectively customer service) of the Accor Group disastrous. Had myself bad experiences by renewal of my card. Never arrives in time, telephone service a nightmare (example: line in french not available / promises to send card not hold / card which arrives with 1 month delay too late).Why is this so complicated ???

« Double pay »

On checking in at this hotel we paid a pre authorisation on my partner’s money card for the full amount. When leaving we were asked to validate the authorisation amount. Little did we know that this was a second payment, the first amount is still awaiting clearance on the money card two weeks later, an amount of €363 which we can’t use. Apparantly pending amounts can take up to 31 days to be cleared. This seems to be a practice of the Accor Hotel Group as the same thing happened to me at the Mercure hotel in Nancy. An amount of €600 is still pending on my money card after the receptionist assured me that she was using the pre authorisation amount to pay the account. This was three weeks ago. I will not be staying at any Accor Hotels in future.

When checking out we were asked to pay the account in full even although the hotel had taken a full authorisation amount when checking in. That amount is still pending on my Visa money card. I cannot access that money until it is cleared. This is the second time in an Accor hotel that this has happened. The other instance was at a Mercure hotel in Nancy two weeks ago. I am still waiting on that amount, €600, being cleared. I find this practice in Accor hotels abhorant as we have almost €1000 that we can’t access.

« Great Location in Dijon »

Very comfortable hotel in the heart of the Old Town of Dijon. Minutes on foot to all the local attractions, important historical sites, restaurants, shops. The usual good quality of Ibis, very comfortable beds and quilts. An underground parking garage is directly in front of the hotel for a reasonable 10 Euros per 24 hours. The biggest problem with this hotel is getting there. My GPS Navi gave up to navigate through an absolutely bewildering maze of blocked, closed, and one way streets, with streets that are sometimes open for passage and sometimes closed by movable bollards, a very poorly marked parking garage entrance ( you have to drive up on the sidewalk and into a small park with flower pots that has the look like you are NOT supposed to drive in there). My advice: tell the Navi to go to the Place de la Republiques, drive 180 deg around the Place, take rue DeVosge to rue du Temple, left, then follow signs to Grangier Parking and drive to your right onto the sidewalk when the signs stop.

« A pleasant stay with a good buffet breakfast »

A more central location differentiates this Ibis from the other Accor hotels in Dijon. It still is a fair hike from the railway station but in a nice pedestrian precinct. The rooms were small as would be expected of an older building but as usual everything you need is there. The breakfast buffet again is very good.
