Refusal to change booked date after a system error.

I had a flight booked for Tuesday morning (26 March) and on Monday (25 March) I went online (on the Ibis website) to make a booking for the evening of the 25th of March. I selected the dates and upon checkout I was asked to enter my username and password. I went through the process of booking a room and only upon confirmation did I realise that the dates had changed (it was changed to the 14th of April - a date I would never have selected as my flight was the 26th of March). I IMMEDIATELY called the hotel to move the booking to the 26th of March. I was told, rudely, that nothing can be done. The booking would have cost more so they can't move the booking. When I said I am happy to pay the difference then I was rudely told but then I can just as well pay the full amount to rebook (we are talking 20 euros in difference vs 130 euros to rebook). No matter how much I explained that I literally JUST paid and there was a system error they kept repeating no refunds. They can ADD dates to my stay but they can't change the date. I then asked for a refund, which, of course, was also denied. I was sent pillar to post and no one could help. EVEN though this was a system problem. I was told I should be more careful next time and that mistakes happen (we all make them I was told) and that this is unfortunate but they cannot accommodate me in anyway. All I wanted was to change the date LITERALLY minutes after I had booked the hotel. I always book at Ibis, so does my family, but I will NEVER again book there because of the poor customer service and because of the unwillingness to help.

- The airport bus was 40 mins late and the ibis parking entrance was blocked. The ibis staff took 30 mins to organize and meanwhile people were loosing the plane - a blackout of more than 1 hour left the whole hotel in the dark - it was not possible to pay by card I usually come to this hotel and I think that the quality is going down every time

We stayed at the Ibis Schiphol Airport to be close to the airport but also the be proximate to transportation to Amsterdam Centraal. Even though the bus was not running to the city from the bus terminal nearby, it was still easy to get the Ibis bus to Schiphol to grab a train. The lobby, bar and dining areas were very nice. The breakfast was great. It was a little odd that our first day was free breakfast and our second day 18 Euros, but still good. The staff were friendly and helpful. All around, a good stay. It was my second visit to this hotel and not my last.
