We arrived at 4.30 pm and despite the checkin time being well in advance of this we were kept waiting 45 minutes for our room. The third bed was a roll out bed with a wooden plinth above my son's head which he kept catching his head on (advertised on website as a third bed not a roll out bed). Upon complaining to reception that he had hurt himself and asking to pay for 2 rooms was told nothing they could do despite the 15 minutes for the hotel team to resolve any issues notice in the room, clearly this is not true as staff completely unhelpful and unconcerned. The room was not fit for purpose (room 806), mould in the bathroom, skirting board by bathroom a trip hazard as hanging off, no signal on the tv, no desk as advertised (this was the dangerous roll out bed waiting for a serious head injury), curtains stained, heating not controllable far too hot due to this the windows had condensation in the morning causing water to drop on to plug sockets below the window where phones were charging (another health and safety issue) and dirty bedding had been left in the room. My husband and i stay in accor hotela regularly for business in the UK but after this experience we will not use this chain again.

This hotel is extremely convenient for the main coach station at Paris - which is how I discovered it! There is a metro station just around the corner, from which you can travel to central Paris. Thus you can enjoy the city, without all the hassle of a city centre. I have always found the staff helpful and efficient. Fortunately most of them speak English better than I speak French! A good buffet breakfast is available. Definitely filling. And the coffee is good! I have no doubt that I shall return the next time I visit the French capital.

« Clean but smokey »

Besides the muck up with booking in - you had the incorrect CC recorded on your system, the rooms were clean and tidy. My main gripe is that my room had a really bad smoke smell, and it was quite uncomfortable when I woke up in the early hours and the smell, presumably coming through the air condition ducts, was even more intense, and I had to take cover under the duvet. The TV also switched itself on twice during the night, waking me up both times.

rooms were cramped and bathroom was substandard. the location was very close and practical but the surrounding of the hotel especially the foot bridge to shopping wall mall was very filthy and full of urine. not good for the image of the hotel

« My nightmare at Ibis Porte de Bagnolet »

Very disappointing as my luggage could not be given back to me in time due to an electronic fault on the door of the room where luggages are kept. This delayed my trip back to the UK and the loss of my following flight ticket to Oslo in Norway where I was to attend a training resulting in a serious stress and multiple consequences.

I have stayed Ibis several times in several locations. However, this time was not good experience. The facility was a bit old and TV was taken away from the room from the beginning so I could not watch TV at all during my stay. No Apology form the hotel.

I stay at this hotel when on business in Paris. The hotel is nice but I am finding that coming down late for breakfast things have run out or are not being topped up. For example I like to have boiled eggs but the water level for the machine used had got so low that the eggs I had boiled were still raw. Apart from this, the room was clean and it was a pleasant stay.

« Ideal base when visiting Paris »

Used as a base when visiting Paris. Secure parking and 3 minutes walk from metro. Easy access to motorway direct to Calais. Didnt pay extra for breakfast as felt expensive at 10 euros but used cafes in Paris instead.

« Hotel is fine but neighborhood not »

Hotel is fine with renovated facade although inside would also require some works. Staff is friendly and helpful, but it would be nice if they would know english a little bit better. The worst is neighborhood which in some places looks like post appo movie scene, dead rats, garbage, bad smell etc.

« Poor hotel management »

Room 669 Upon arrival we found the bed mat twisted on the side, we thought the staff would fix it but never did. Only 3 hangers for 2 people. Thursday night we had a fire alarm at 3 AM. We rushed outside by the emergency stairs from the 6th floor and went in the backyard. We then waited 15 minutes outside without any staff coming to check on us. There was no announcement through PA or megaphone about the cause or the possibility to get back to the rooms. We went to the lobby where people told us it was a false alarm. Sunday morning we had to kill a coackroach in the bathroom. Sunday evening when coming back to the room, we found it was not done, no cleaning, no toilet paper, no towels and the cockroach drying ;) The reception staff said sorry but there is no staff anymore so we just had to live with it. On Friday, my English and Dutch friends had their cars windows broken and stuff stolen inside the Ibis underground parking. There is no protection so anybody can enter the parking even without badge.

« IBIS is always a good experience »

My stay was in a very busy day in Paris - almost no rooms left in the city. Hence, I had to choose another hotel than originally planned in my mind - and pay a bit more than planned. One can not say that the ibis Paris Porte de Bagnolet is placed in charming surroundings. But as always, the staff was really helpful and the room was quite satisfying. I had feared noise from the many big roads, but the room was really quiet, and I had a good nights sleep.

I would have expected the staff to know if the bedding was made of feather. I requested NO FEATHER in room at the time of booking and reception took ages to confirm when I checked in.
