« Excellent staff, fine hotel »

I enjoyed this hotel! Specifically the excellent staff make it a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly, went out of their way to make guests happy. Breakfast was very good, the room was simple but clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had one tiny issue with the room which was solved quickly. The location is easy when visiting the hospital, and nicely located right next to bus stops to get you to the center of the city and/or to the tram for the airport. Would definitely recommend.

Pleasant & helpful staff, the room was OK and well cleaned daily. The evening meal was OK, but not great, although the buffet starter was excellent. The bed was a bit too hard for my taste and the shower screen leaked but otherwise perfect.

« Disappointing »

I have stayed at a number of ibis hotels, some budget, some style. This is by far the worst of all. The hotel was dirty and unkept. The room was tatty and poorly maintained. There were signs advertising a 15 minute service if anything wasn’t right, I reported the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working, the only response I got was a shrug from the receptionist. Our room was unbelievably hot, my wife and my son got no sleep at all. A shockingly terrible service, I’m now questioning my other reservation in another ibis hotel.

« Old, dirty, never again »

Service was nice, WiFi was fast, and that’s it. Room was old, carpet dirty, two beds connected played one double bed, walls had stains, the entrance was so dirty I missed it the first time I came to the hotel, I thought it was a back door to somewhere, windows barely opened, and on top of allthere was a wasp nest literally 2cm from my window so i couldn’t open it because they might have got in. I’ve stayed in 10-15 diffrent Ibis hotel troughout Europe, this was was without any doubt the worst one, I don’t know how they even think to charge 100€/night for this kind of hotel and how they even still have the Ibis sign in front...

« Well placed for Hospitals East Lyon and Periph. »

Appreciated the good service, in bar and resto., and private parking. Location is perfect for Lyon Hospitals and motorway access.. Sadly hotel not so great in construction. Noise (eg from closing room doors) resonate throughout the floor. Double glazing preventing outside road noise is good, however. I received an email early morning of check-out... "no need to check out, just leave key and we will send you the bill" Great! So I did, and received the bill via email and later a call from reception asking me to pay at the hotel. Why on earth is there no way of paying the bill online?! eg a link on the bill to part of IBIS website for paying?? Luckily for IBIS, I returned to the hospital the following day and paid at the desk.... YOU MUST CHANGE THIS!

« Ibis Lyon Est Bron is a great hotel for enjoying a visit to Lyon. »

I stayed at the Ibis Lyon Est Bron for five nights. As in all Ibis properties, the “check in” experience was quick. During my first night, I ate dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, enjoyed the quality of the meal, and appreciated the prompt service. The hotel staff translated the French menu for me which was very helpful. On the subsequent nights of my stay, I found the daily cleaning to be thorough. The staff provided a room on an upper floor which I found to be very quiet and restful. Also, I found the reception staff to be very helpful during my visit — they answered my questions about the Lyon bus service and settled my hotel bill quickly. On my last day, I ordered a coffee from the hotel bar and enjoyed my drink before departing.
