Staff and room great. Only downside was smell of drains in the bathroom ! Never had this issue on previous stays !

Great Room Food not as good

Check in was good 10/10. The room decor, bed and shower room were great but the air conditioning was poor. This lowered the score on the room for me as it was very hot in that room 19. We had to keep the door to the corridor open to get some air circulation. Dinner was poor selection was chicken with some dried up veg or cauliflower cheese. Everyowho I saw select the cauliflower cheese left it. Other than that there was salad available. Breakfast was the usual continental offering but no cornflakes on the cereal, and only flavoured teas.

Easy check in, fantastically spacious room and bathroom. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Only downside was breakfast room was very cramped and there were two very large dogs with their owners taking up a lot of space and preventing us from using tables. Dogs of this size should not be permitted in public areas of hotels, particularly dining spaces. It really spoiled our experience as we had to eat our breakfast seated on one of the sofas with a coffee table in front which was not ideal. Please review your policy on dogs otherwise we will not return which is a pity as location was great with lots of places to eat within a short walk

Family/disabled room is good

The family room is very big and close to reception. Thought the front door to the hotel might make noise in the bedroom but it was unobtrusive. Large double bed and two bunks for four and the wet room was good too. Only down side was the usual situation of no shaving mirror and in my mind the toilet was too close to the wall on the right hand side. I’d have thought it would be difficult for a disabled person or someone of large size to use easily - but I’m not disabled so it was OK for me. There was a power block adapter near the coffee maker and kettle (with two USB sockets) and there were sockets near all the beds so pretty good and better than many even though it wasn’t close enough to the bed for our liking. That’s only as we use phones as alarms and need to charge overnight. All in all one of the best mid range hotel rooms we’ve used. Breakfast was good as usual and the free takeaway coffee facility was great.

It was ok for one night , but I was there two !!!! The smelt like they had been animals in there hairdryer didn’t work reception gave us a portable one, when to the bar had one drink as there wasn’t any body to serve us another so we left

Hotel is very easy and quick to access from motorway/autoroute. But this also means that there is traffic noise. We were on second floor at back so it might be worse at the front of the hotel. There was a bad smell of drains on the second floor landing. Having a choice of restaurants within walking distance is also an advantage. Breakfast was adequate but croissants weren't fresh and - given that we are in the orange season - it would have been nice to have the possibility of squeezed orange juice. Coffee from an automatic machine tasted mediocre.
