We went for breakfast there was literally nothing to eat. We had to go find a place outside for our breakfast although we paid breakfast for 2 days. very disappointing! the bed is very uncomfortable there is no real mattress only some sort of overlay..

I stayed at this hotel as a base for some Battlefield tours, I booked and paid on-line. When I arrived at the hotel I found it was mid renovation which meant there was no bar, restaurant or even a suitable reception desk. The ground and upper floors were being renovated at the time of my stay and the restaurant and bar were non existent. It was a good job there was good weather because the only seating arrangements were outside. Food was being provided through Bain Maries on a fold up table and the beverages available to purchase were either Wine or Beer from a makeshift pump also on a temporary table. The seating area was frequented by ferrel cats looking for scraps and there was an incredibly high number of wasps. Upon returning from Tyne Cot I attempted an afternoon nap but the banging from construction in the room above me made that impossible. There was no mention of the renovation on the website and had I know I certainly would't have booked! A terrible stay!

Used this hotel many times in the past and will continue to do so as it is very convenient being just a little over an hour from the Channel Tunnel terminal at Coqelles, Calais.Although we were disappointed this time that we were not told about major renovation work taking place, we are happy to say that the staff did a really good job whilst managing to provide what we needed in what was effectively a building site.WELL DONE.

The only problem was the breakfast did not match the pictures on the hotel website. No eggs and occasionally no cold meat when I arrived to eat. Room and staff were very good.

Very comfortable room which in turn provided a relaxed week. could have done without the fire alarm going off and having to get out of the building at 4.30am. concerns here are that, 1. Smell of burnt toast when evacuating the building, thus triggering off the alarm. 2. No role call taken by the night staff to check if everyone was safe. 3. Upon returning to our room, an elderly couple 2 doors along from us were only just leaving there room. Also it would have been better if the restaurant had been open and the breakfast bar had been properly stocked. Out of 5 breakfasts we only had pancakes (Twice) and more than 2 choices of meats and cheeses (3 times) to choose from.

Was not very happy with the fire alarms going off a 4-15am. To be told there’s nothing wrong. Got no apology from anyone. And I booked a room with breakfast and was told I had to pay for breakfast.

« Breathable sheets ?? »

I like the place but the main idea is to have a good night's sleep. Personally, I find the sheets too unbreathable and, although I did not over heat, I couldn't sleep because of clammy sheets. I had to stick out a knee, a foot, my arms, my back in turns to try to get some air under the bedding and just could not sleep. This is the 3rd time I have made this comment about Ibis bedding. Breakfast is OK but largely based around bread, croissants, madeleines. There's an egg boiler but the egg I put into the half-full egg boiler came out early, lukewarm and already hard-boiled. I had assumed that the egg basket contained raw eggs. Evening "my-burger" was just what I needed at the time and I liked the 9 cloves of garlic with my grenaille potatoes. Staff were fine.

I had a warm welcome even though I arrived a little late. It was not my first time in this Hotel and I chose it due to the fact that you avoid the main traffic in Lille, the hotel has parking and the food (dinner and breakfast) are good. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the Wifi is better than in most of the big hotels. I would always chose this hotel again when I am in the area for a short trip.
