« We always enjoy coming to Ibis Dublin, and find the staff so enormously helpful and kind. »

We arrived with a huge amount of luggage which the lady on the desk helped us to put into a safe place until we were able to check in. She could not have been kinder and she helped us once more when we came to take it out.. In the same way, with our early start, we were given every support in having our breakfast, checking out and going on our way.

Typical Ibis experience, good accomodation, good service with a good breakfast at a reasonable price. Only negative was the mattress was too firm. Firmer than previous Ibis hotels we stayed at.

We were told we had been upgraded to a forth floor room, which when we got to it, was freezing and we could not turn the heating on, plus there was stains all over the floor.

When we arrived to check in we were advised that it would be an extra 25EUR to get our room before 2pm. I am a travel and agent and travel often, and at at all hotels I visit if there is a room available before the check in time the hotels will allow me or my clients to have the room early without an additional charge. This was a bad start to the stay at the Ibis Dublin and will defer me from recommending this property to my clients. Our room was also described as "Twin Room with two beds- two twin beds". We ended up with 2 single beds pushed together to make one bed, and a pull out couch. This was not as booked and again disappointing. Also, the toilet did not flush and required you to press the flush 5-10 times before if would partially work. Overall quite disappointing and I will not be confident in recommending the Ibis brand to my clients or for my future travels.

Tp that effect I have noted your comments with regard to your room, the beds were separated however were side by side as the couch was on front of the television. I do apologise for your toilet not flushing and had you mentioned this and your beds we would have moved you to another room and moved the beds also. With regard to the extra charge of €25 for early check in but this is company policy. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. Good reception and an excellent check out with Liz. Breakfast for us in Ibis has always been excellent, including this trip with Paula on Wednesday and Paula the the other girl that worked with Paula on Friday, I believe is Anayka(saw the badge). They were all so welcoming and very friendly. The only reason why I rated my overall experience as 8 was because of the Restaurant Manager, I am not sure what his name was, but he is some how not too tall. While still having our breakfast on Thursday, a little after 10:00 am, I stood up for some coffee, the manager immediately rushed to me, saying I will have to pay for the coffee, because the time for breakfast was over. I tried to explain to him that all the years I have been coming to your Hotel or any of your Chain or others , I have never seen whereby a guest will still be in the dinning area and will be required to pay for coffee, the flimsy excuse he was able to come up with, was that otherwise others will still do the same, (but we were still in the dinning area)?. Never have I been so embarrass and quite frankly I was more disappointed to find out he is the manager of that department. If that will also interest you to know that I had a chat with some other guests that were also not impress with him. I will recommend he try not to change the good services of this lovely department that is full of some charming agents, like Andrea, Paula, Anayka, not to mention but a few; the friendliness of these staffs is the reason people want to have breakfast. I and my family hope to continue to have a great time whenever we come. Thank you

« Convenient but bring ear plugs »

We were very happy with the price, location, service and general cleanliness. However, we had a lot of noise during the early hours of the moming with doors banging. This meant we woke up and had difficulty going back to sleep. If I stay again, I will bring ear plugs!!
