« Not very good »

Paid for late check out and was disturbed twice by cleaning staff who were very rude when I explained the situation. No wifi as far as I could tell, either that or the information in the room was out of date. It stated to log in to the network "bit buzz" which wasn't available. It was late when I noticed this and I tried to ring the front desk but there was no answer.

« Excellent red IBIS in the suburbs of Dublin »

I work away a lot on business so I stay in a lot of Accor Hotels. This red IBIS is much nicer than most of the ones I have stayed in in the UK. The rooms are a lot bigger, I guess because it is older than other IBIS.The hotel is close to Red Cow Roundabout so there is easy access to the airport on the express buses and the City Centre on the tram. The local village is also really good too. It has a shopping centre called The Mill which has a load of British brand name shops.

Consistently good accommodation at reasonable rates particularly for the business traveler in a good location with excellent transport and link options for visiting Dublin or heading out of town. Close to the M50 and the LUAS tram line.

Not our first time at Ibis Dublin but first time to book a "superior room". It was good but, disappointingly, it lacked a comfortable settee or chairs for relaxing in - only a single hard chair. I think we'll stick to the cheaper standard room next time.

As a member I booked for my wife and myself...one night on 27th September before going north to see friends in Derry and then 3 nights from 1-4 October. Our one night stay was poor, our 3 night stay was better. Here are the reasons. On arrival we were given the keys to Room 233. On opening the door, we found aman in bed and the room was clearly occupied. We retreated to Reception, where there was no apology merely the handing out of keys to Room 220. It could have been a difficult incident and a significant mistake had been made. In the room, the Wifi was not working. Another visit to Reception resulted in a reply that there 'technical problems'. Oddly enough we encountered the same issue at Ibis Basel Bahnhof on 3rd September. We then went down for a meal of main course. The trainee barely understood our simple English and then the food ( just fish and chips and an ale pie) took 45 minutes to arrive. The experience did make us wonder about keeping our 3 day booking but the convenience to the LUAS for central Dublin and the M50 won the day. Our 3 day visit was much better, the wifi worked and Room 214( not occupied on our arrival!) was good and comfortable. Also, the staff were more pleasant on Reception and particularly on breakfast( I think he was From Brazil). However, because of what happened on 27 Sept., we only had one evening meal from the hotel, and that was in the room..it was good quality but again took about 40 mins before we were phoned to collect it. So, overall, I can only just give a satisfactory rating as the room was clean quiet and comfortable. However, I still remain surprised at the issues that occurred. Regards Edward B.

Front desk staff are very helpful, when I need to borrow something small, such as weighing machine, bottle openers. They have gladly provided the services with smile, even I have spilled some liquid on the counter. The only 'downside' is the food available in hotel does not feel attractive enough, so we have drove out to look for food. Location is convenient.

« Very noisy room »

We have stayed here before this was the first time we were dissatisfied. We got a very noisy room for the first night. We were told that this was the last room available when we checked in. That is very possible however we have booked a standard room and this one was clearly below standard due to the constant loud noise from outside. At least we were able to switch after the first night. Then on the first morning breakfast was initially denied as we were told that we had not booked breakfast. At least that was sorted and the problem apparently was some IT issues.

my elderly Mum & I spent 2 days in Dublin so I was looking for something we could rely on, and near the LUAS with parking, and easy access to the motorway to get to the Docks on our last day, IBIS is my go to brand and you didn't disappoint.
