Very good - in the city center and the professionals attention and kindness. Acceptable - room (old fashion furniture...nice bathroom, sanitary a little depressing) Low ratio quality/price (the only reason is location)

We chose the hotel for its location in the centre. It was indeed very practical to walk it to the shops and restaurants. The room size and its amenities size were good. I only found that the carpet was rather dirty under the folding bed which was already unfolded upon our arrival. Probably the cleaning lady chose to open the fold-in sofa for not having to vacuum the whole place or maybe it's just a miss... It wasn't nice for our young-aged son who would spend his time playing on the floor. The room view has nothing spectacular but I guess it would have been the case for almost all rooms given it's in the city amidst buildings. I was pleased with the bar helping me with some extra teabags and warm milk for using in the room. We didn't find the breakfast so tasty and varied. There are no custom cuttlery or cups for children use although we could see that a lot of families with children used the hotel. We didn't try the pool and neither enquired about whether it was heated and open at that time. Our son enjoyed the children's corner with games.

Room was ok but heating was not working, so the room was very cold. Reception told me the only thing they could do was to give me a mobile heater to turn on at the room. Also, reception did not pay attention that I am platinum customer and did not give me my welcome drink. I had to remind her about it later.

« Good location in Metz with quiet rooms »

Great location in city center of Metz. Shops around and good parking. A bit difficult to your way around the parking basement since located in a shopping center. Breakfast good with selections. I liked the quiet rooms. No noise even in center. A bit outdated hotel. But will come back if in Metz.

« Stop over »

It's be first time we gave stayed in this Novotel. We received a friendly welcome. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. We ate dinner here which was served by a friendly waitress and took the trouble to ensure we. Could understand. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful.

« A Spacious room with a view »

The Hotel is well located at the heart of the old town, The Cathedral and the St-Jacques Shopping center. I enjoyed the renovated lobby. It is spacious, full of colors, and functional with its bar, Web corner and eating area. The room was confortable, clean and had good controlled temperature. It has Wifi, a big Led TV, a mini fridge and a boiler for tea and coffee. The bathroom is big and modern. The only thing I was missing was the black shoe polish.

It's good as usual Location is great as in the city centre, quite easy to get to and park Rooms are alright as in comfy and clean I love the restaurant/bar area. It is trendy and quirky... nice place to relax....just have to wait for waiters some times

The overall looks to the rooms and hallways are bad it looks old and outdated. The staff is friendly, however you can do something about their English, the spoken English is very poor.

« Convenient city centre hotel »

The hotel was conveniently located for the city centre, but difficult to find due to a complex road layout and multiple roadworks. Parking (at extra charge) is available in a section of the shopping centre's carpark - park on the yellow level for direct access to the hotel via lift. The hotel room was good and had everything needed for a comfortable stay and the city centre was all within walking distance. Our room overlooked the pool, but was noisy at night with the window open, due to the bars beyond. Breakfast was a buffet with a good range of items, but they kept running out (including bowls and cups on one occasion). It would have been convenient if we had been advised that the Metz marathon was taking place during our weekend stay as the hotel was virtually 'cut off' during the race. We asked the previous afternoon about getting the car out and were told we may be able to leave by car at around 10.30 or 11am. In fact we were able to leave the car park at any time via one particular exit, but we didn't find this out until the morning of the race.

The checkin was fast and okay...Lobby Looks pleasing-rooms are borderline...bath in friend's room was mouldy BUT the worst was the bar and breakfast Service. Saturday night we were at the bar at midnight and others also...the staff was vacuuming and closed the bar...which is early for a Saturday night. The worst was breakfast..probably the worst i have seen...tables not cleaned at all during the 60 minutes we were there..we had to create our own space....i had to ask for forks and knives and napkin and a table mat...and at least 10 tables were not cleaned during our 1 hour there. Then no toast,no Baguette,no Juice and each time i had to ask and others had to do the same. We will never stay here again
