This was my fourth time staying at this hotel. I have gotten used to its quirks like a really small bath tub and really cold pool and made them work for me. The room and bed were very nice. I am not sure I got the suite I had requested but I liked the larger bed. The bed was great and the sheets were really nice. I am still not sure if breakfast was included in my rate or not. When I checked in I made sure that it was included, but when I checked out they told me it was not and I had been charged a specail cheaper rate as part of my stay. Service was good. The hotel was crowded and it did take a date to get a working adapter for my plugs.

I visited your city for a business meeting. Your staff was helpful and courteous, and most people spoke at least a little english, which was very helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The condition of the room was very good. I did have neighbors who were loud, which disturbed me on my first evening. I don't know whether they were especially loud or whether the soundproofing of the room was inadequate. Generally, I enjoyed my stay and if I return to Sao Paolo, I would book a reservation at your hotel.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the park. The reception staff has barely english knowledge. The room is large and decorated in an old style. It could have been cleaner. The rooms are extremely noisy. There is no coffee maker and no bottle of water in the room. The breakfast is good. Gym is also in good condition. The staff is friendly. The pre-organization of an airport transfer was catastrophic - due to the lack of English knowledge there were massive problems to organize a transfer. Several emails were necessary, where credit card details were completely requested via email (what about security issues?). A 20-minute call was simply terminated due to a lack of English understanding of the reception.

The breakfast was great, as was the check in. The room service was good value and the room cleaniness was adequate :) Simple things like a kettle had to be asked for three times (the same for the iron) - this could be improved. There were minimal tweaks that could improve the experience (newer phones, better functioning TV) but overall, considering cost vs quality - the experience was ok :)

I was in Brazil on business and selected your hotel due to its proximity to the airport and where my meetings were scheduled. The hotel is updated and the rooms are large and spacious. My only "dilemma" was the heat that Sao Paulo was experiencing that week and it was challenging to keep the room cool enough, but I was more than comfortable during my stay. The staff and the bar attendees were very friendly and the cost per stay was very reasonable.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel as always. For the past 5-7 years, every time we come to visit our family in Sao Paulo we chose to stay at the Grand Mercure Ibirapuera. However I believe it is time for the hotel to do some modernization in the accomodations and pay more attention into the maintenance. The airconditioning is noisy and brings funny smell when turned on for long time. We informed the reception at previous time we stayed and for a few hours it was ok but the smell was back quickly. Then the bathroom... it is very dirty behind the doors and in the shower there is a black color around the door not giving a fresh feeling. The pillows have been better at the times that the hotel was Pullmann. You have to fight for a place in the swimming pool. The hotel is mainly occupied by different air companies and the crew seems to feel in charge there. Speaking loud and not taking other guests into account. The breakfast is the same every day! There is no variety. We usually spend around 10 days and the food was exactly the same every single day! The staff is extremely friendly and that is what makes us come back every time. Despite of the loyality we have to this hotel and always come back booking 2 rooms for a long period, we are asked to pay everything at the moment of the check in. No problems about this. What i really dislike is the request to leave a deposit /reservation in the credit card for any expenses we would make during our stay. It is a huge amount and for the past two times, this full amount got deducted from my account and took a long time to have it credited again. This time I chose to do not leave the deposit and every time we would go to the restaurant or the bar it was like the staff needed to make a statement that we didnt have a credit and would pay imediately. Of course we paid but honestly it didnt feel nice. Specially because we are loyal guests. All in all it is a good hotel but a modernization in the rooms and a recognition for our loyality would have made the hotel great again. We are not sure if we will return in the future.
