« Short but nice stay »

Overall the experience was good but the only problem is that so far I have not received the invoice so I can submit my expense report as I was told I could receive an electronic invoice via e-mail. I checked my junk folder and did not find anything there as well.

« Good, but with some reserves... »

Good service overall, but the maintenance of the bedrooms were not so good. A horrible smell of mold in the room, the maintenance of the bathrooms with some problems, like dirt and showers with problems. Besides everything, has not yet received the invoice of the stay.

« Good stay! »

I stayed for a the hotel for 3 nights. Even though the check in took longer due to the fact that a large group arrived just before me, I went to the bar and had dinner. The staff is very friendly specially at the reception.

« Old installations could use a refurbish »

I used to stay at the Grand Mercure Ibirapuera when it was under the Sofitel name. With a problematic shower head and a porch door that would not lock, the hotel shows sign that it needs a bit of care. Breakfast was also another log shot from the "good old days".

« Very good apart from a unpleasant connversaiton with one of the front desk staff...see below! »

During my stay I used your laundry service to have some clothes cleaned! I completed the laundry list in my room and called "guest services' to have house keeping pick my clothes.....no one answered so I took the clothes in the laundry bag as I was leaving early for meetings! I went to the front desk....there was no one else I could talk and told the front desk person (can't recall his name...Rafael??) and he told me that he can't accept my laundry bag and I would have to return to my room and call house keeping! I explained to him that I already did that and no answered! He then proceeds to tell me that is what I must do! I told I did not have time to go back to my room and was simply not prepared to do that and saw no reason why he could not do it for me and call someone in house keeping himself! He then said ok and then in a very rude manner waived his "finger" and told me that next time I must follow the process. I did have word with the front desk manger and she was very apologetic and told she would speak to the person concerned!

The Hotel is excellent, the staff are great. However, there was a welcome note in my room that was not addressed to me, and the room was clearly prepared for another guest. I think this could have been easily dealt with, as I arrived late.

Laundry not same day (very unusual for a good hotel in a big city), no bathrobe, only 2 glasses, fruit not good @ breakfast (v. unusual for Brazil.) Plus is location - can run in Ibirapuera Park. Boulangerie looks delicious.
