« good hotel, just a bit far to walk »

the hotel services were very good, the room was clean ad check in check-out was quickthe hotel is far to walk by foot from the train station and the instructions to use the CDGVAL were not good enough, drivers of CDGVAL were really not helpful and we wasted an hour until we got to the hotel

« Pleasant stay in Paris »

Very helpful staff, and very friendly. Wonderful restaurant onsite, very close to metro for coming and going to airport. Appreciate the explanation of how to return our rental car early, so the day of our travel we had one less worry with booking and flying!! THANKS

Your hotel gets a 10 regarding the room, restaurant, and bar. What pulls your score down to a 7 is your processes: 1) I was given a room that someone did not vacate so I had to return to the front desk, wait in line to tell them I needed another room. 2) on day of checkout, the front desk tried to bill my AMEX card when I had already pre-paid in full the room on 5/2/18. Front desk claimed that I did not pre-pay. I had all my documentation to prove I did. This took a lot of time to convince them of my full pre-payment. Not a good experience!

« When AccorHotels seems not care about its brand »

Mercury used to be much better than Novotel even though Accor insists that both are 4 stars hotels. A very unsympathetic employee at the reception desk (and it wasn’t near 10pm), a noisy lounge loaded with Japan Airlines crew (girls, not that loud, please! Typhoon JEBI, shame on you!). You have to walk to arrive at the hotel. Healthy, some of you might say, but walking and carring my baggage is not my favorit sport. It should be included in the brand Ibis hotels. Their resemblance is becoming more and more narrow. My compliments go to the kitchen personnel and the waiter who delivered my meal. Room service was impeccable! But not enough to make me eager to come back. To this hotel or any other of the AccorHotels. And I travel a lot.

« Really bad Service for Premium hotel Guest »

1) room withouth a minibar! 2) there was one big Towel in the room, Orderd Towels from the room Service which never came. So we had to shower with one towel.... 3) Never experienced such unfriendliness during Checkout- as in every other Accor Hotel (30+ Per Year) I just wanted to grab a drink from the fridge as the wElcome Drink, this is the only hotel of all of them where this is not possible and instead of a reselabl bottle on the Go I was only able to get a Glass bottle which was not resealable from the BAr. This was the most stupid policy, and at the same time the reception staff was really rude about it. This is really not how you treat a customer.

« Very helpful staff »

We just stayed for a few hours between continuing travel. They allowed us to park for free and the wrong date was booked for us and the woman at the front desk accomodated us and was just great.

« Dingy & dirty room »

Room was dingy & dirty. Ordered a pizza in room service & it came stone cold after almost 1 hour of placing the order. Thank god I was there for under 12 hours.

« Disappointing Reception »

I fully understand that I was feeling rather negative on check in. Our stay was a frustrating one before we even checked in. We had stayed in Normandy for the first part of our trip and spent our last day before leaving France in Paris. We had parked our rental car at Gare du Nord and taken the subway into the city. Upon arriving back at Gare du Nord the police had a section of the station blocked off which made it difficult to to find where we parked the car. Unfortunately then there were also several road closures that had and estimated 20 minute drive to the hotel turning us in circles and it ended up taking an hour. My husband dropped us off at the hotel and proceeded to return the rental car. It was then when we were told our reservation was at the other Mercure airport hotel. The guest service agent was extremely helpful and called us a taxi but we were anxious to get checked into the new hotel and to get the children to bed before our early morning flight the next day. Our cab took a while to come, and when he finally did it was a very quick trip from one hotel to the other. I was surprised that would not take credit card for the trip, but they also charged me €20 for the small trip (my husband was charged €7 from the airport for what was likely the same length). Needless to say I came into the hotel exhausted and frustrated. There was a small line at the guest check in but I went straight to the priority welcome desk that was vacant. Although there were multiple people behind the desk and one that was not with any guests, it seemed like it took a long time before anyone acknowledged us adding to the frustration. I wanted to save time on check out so I expressed my desire to use points upon checking out. It was dismissed and I was told I could not. I told the agent that I had called Accor the week before as we had cancelled another reservation that was made using the points and wished to use the point towards this stay. There happened to be an issue with the system when I had called but I was assured I could use them on check out. When I was on hold during that phone call I had also noticed the option in the ‘using your points’ section of the app so I believed this was our best option. I showed the option in the app to the agent at check in and he again dismissed me and I did it wasn’t possible. Checking out the next morning I asked once again about using the points and I was again told it was not possible. I don’t understand why it would be advertised on the app if it isn’t available at all locations. I make a ha it of securing hotel rooms as soon s we know we are taking a trip in order to save money and get the best possible price so we can spend and splurge elsewhere on our trips. Whole point would t have covered the whole stay, between the extra cost of taxi and not being able to use those points, the say cost us €60 more than anticipated. And while we stayed at 5 Accor properties on our trip to Australia last year, both acquiring and using the points within North America is more of challenge so we were looking forward to the chance to use the loyalty points we had audited and not allowing them to lapse. Again, I fully understand that most of the frustrations I had during our stay were not directly related to the facilities or the staff, I do believe that especially at an airport location, front desk staff should be sympathetic to the frustrations of travel and are an important resource when things do not go as expected. Being dismissed and not asking anyone else if there is anything that can be done left me frustrated especially when showing the employee your own material on the app that was also dismissed. When standing at the ‘Priority Welcome’ it makes a guest feel less than welcome.

« Room & Dining excellent but check in poor. »

The check in was poor. The new staff was very inexperienced. She did not know how to manage my booking as a Gold Accor member and that I had pre-paid but she but wanted to charge my card card for the one night stay. As an Accor member, I was not provided the free welcome drink card which I had to ask for and She did not take a credit card impression so when i came to pay for dinner at the restaurant, the bill could not be charged to my room. With the restaurant manager we went to reception and I paid cash for the meal.

« Very comfortable but should have a better choice of food after 11pm »

The check in experience was less smooth that what we're used to in other Ibis or Mercure hotels: a proof of ID was requested + the card used to make the booking and we had to pay the "taxe de séjour" all during check in. As we were arriving late after a long flight that and on top of that had to walk with our bags more than what we had expected that was not the best start. Then we were disappointed to hear that the restaurant was already closed (being 11pm I can understand though) and were thinking of using room service. Unfortunately the choice of food after 11pm is quite reduced and in the end we had a drink and ate nibbles at the bar. The room was big and the king-size bed was super comfy. Nothing to say about the bathroom: very good shower and all you need. The soundproofing is also good so we did not hear the airplanes taking off, just a couple of doors being slammed too violently. We will surely use this hotel again in future travels.

« Wonderfully let down »

We arrived at the hotel, the checkin was extremely slow and we were in the priority lane. There was not anyone else in the line at all. Why the person took so long to check us in I totally cannot understand. Felt like we were escaped criminals. Apart from this I was really happy with the hotel and in fact cancelled a booking at the Ibis in four nights time and thought that I had booked into this hotel. My big mistake. I had booked into the Mercure about 2 kilometres away, to get there after a full day of flying it cost us 20 euro. A rip off. About $33 Australian. It would have been better for us to walk back to the station and caught a shuttle bus. First time in all the times that we have travelled where I feel that we have been ripped off. Arrived at the other Mercure and the receptionist was excellent. So much for enjoying our 47th wedding anniversary.

« Hotel Mercure was one of the better things in the nightmare traveling has become. »

The beds were good; the temperature in the room was decent (on a hot day); the bathroom and shower were of a good size and surprisingly (compared to a lot of hotels I've used), nothing was broken or dysfunctional. The hotel room was also well insulated both for sound and for light. The breakfast room was large and the offerings were ample. However, the hot food was cold and there were too many rude people (not your fault; 'hell is other people,' said Jean-Paul Sartre). One pretty blond waitress in your employ was very pleasant and showed me how to use your two coffee machines, one of which made better coffee than the other. I think you need to show where the coffee cup should be placed since it was very easy to misplace the cup and have the water/milk, etc. go all over the place. One thing that really bothered me was that the 'free' Internet was very slow, totally insecure and basically useless. Americans, especially, like FAST WI-FI! Also, and this is not your fault, the ten-minute free shuttle ride to the airport (2E) turned into 35 minutes because of all the traffic. The check-in was fine but the checkout was not; I received no receipt and today I still don't know what I paid there. I do know what I ordered (two large beds for 3 adults; one child). One last thing: please provide enough towels for 4 people when there are four people. Every hotel we go to, there are only two sets of towels per room. Yours was no exception.
