Arrived late on Thursday night, spent Fri and Sat in Isa, and left mid-morning Sunday. Didn't eat any lunches or dinners in the restaurant. It was a business trip but I brought my family along, which was nice.

I have always enjoyed staying at the Ibis Mt Isa. Your reception desk staff are great and the overall experience is fantastic. Having said that, your breakfast side of things needs work. Twice I was left to my own devices for breakfast and had to find Carly to let her know to charge me. On the last day I made the mistake of going for the hot breakfast instead of my usual continental. This is by far the worse hot breakfast I have ever had. Baked Beans were all runny sauce and very little beans, the bacon was sweaty and unappealing, the scrambled eggs were afloat in watery whatever and the hash browns were soggy and unpleasant. You can definitely do better. I would rather get a fresh cooked choice off a menu and pay a lot more or go for the continental than experience a breakfast like that. I recommend you try eating the breakfast yourself without notice and see if you agree or maybe that day was just a bad day.

Our room was very clean and large enough. Customer service was outstanding at both reception & restaurant. Great to have a laundry there. Food (fish) at restaurant had to be sent back to kitchen as very undercooked (same with table beside us). Overall though we enjoyed our stay.

Location is great. Staff are always very nice and helpful. And the welcome with the water always appreciated. I stayed in the older section this time. Room 1.06. The door lock was a bit loose. The noise from the street was annoying. And the light coming in at night from the street via the glass sliding door to the bathroom was annoying. I had the continental brekky day one, but the cereals were very sweet and coffee not up to scratch. So went to the coffee for later breakfasts.

Rooms were OK, balcony was a disgrace with rubbish and CIGARETTE BUTTS! Disgusting!!! The rest of the building is looking very tired.

Smooth check in/out, restaurant food was excellent, all the staff we encountered were top notch. Parking however was made secure for us, but felt the side parking lot could be gated. The signage does not help, basically saying.....good luck parking here and if something happens it's not our fault. Fot this reason will not rebook with you again.

The staff were outstanding for the hotel. The car parking could be improved and the building is quite dated (the lift may need some attention). The room has been updated and was very comfortable with all of the required amenities. The dining room has also been updated and was delightful. The food was fantastic and while the general wait staff were good, having the desert come out before the entree and mains (And the attitude that went with it) was interesting!!
