Our room was fantastic. Just a couple of things we found the smell of tobacco very overpowering in our room and also the toilet seat was broken.

As much as the staff where extremely helpful. The experience was very average. The 3rd floor was the better experience but the bed creeked. Air con only just worked the first couple nights. The air conditioning broke on the entire 3rd floor on the 3rd night. I had to move to first floor and this was a disgusting experience. Again the staff where very apologetic but didn’t help the problem. I am sorry but as a platinum Accor I expect more.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ibis as I have done on previous occasions. The staff are polite and respectful. The food is great. however, the tv reception wasn't that great, but its not a big concern, I will definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately the aircon isn’t able to cope with the ambient temperature. I’ll give the lower levels a try next time but otherwise the service was fine. Ps. 28 Celsius in my room late afternoon.

The bed was very comfortable and I really enjoyed having housekeeping everyday. The aircon also worked very well and made the stay bearable. However, upon arrival we were unable to get in and called both numbers and wait in the heat before being let in. When we were able to get inside there were no apologies only defensive behaviour from the receptionist about how she never received the calls. Having to pay $10 for WiFi is actually absurd especially these days. The towel racks in the bathrooms were broken, as was the shower curtain rail. Our experience at the restaurant was phenomenal. Another guest said to us “it’s not usually this bad I swear”. Not able to accommodate dietary requirements, no water served to us, waitress was new and would repeat this every time we asked a question about the menu without following up. The wine tasted like vinegar, the food wasn’t restaurant quality at all yet very expensive for what it was. I have never been so disappointed. We thought maybe it was Mt Isa, but after living here for a week now, I’m sorry to say this but the restaurant is definitely subpar. I hope that this feedback is taken on board, as there is a lot ofpotential there.
