We have stayed with the whole family at The Sofitel in Strasbourg and the team from the receptionist to the concierge to the bell team to the Hsk to the F&B were extremely friendly and made sure we feel the Christmas magical spirit Strasbourg have to offer during this period of the year. The amenities and the program for the kids during Christmas was great. The only comment would be on the attitude of the reservation agent whom handled our booking prior to arrival which was far below her colleagues general attitude and is not up to the general Luxury standards Sofitel is known for.

The service is good but i paid for 3 rooms. One suite and 2 double. In the suite there was a door closed i asked about it and they said it s a double classic room type so we asked if we can switch one of the double to this room they didn't explain to us tgat it s just a room without a bathroom. It s a continuous to the suite so we paid for 2 double and one suite but in fact we took one suite and one double. This i call it scam. And i was not satisfied at all about it.

Ecxellent front desk staff and concierge service. Great blend of efficiency and friendliness. However the room was agreat disapointment, very small and tired with old dull and worn furniture. The TV was old and tempremental. The was no information on hotel services in the room beyond a room service menu ! Not even the seving time for breakfast. The bathroom was also small although the sinkunit was modern and of good quality. The bath was old,slippery and the shower head seems to have been purchased in M Bricolage for euro 9,99 ! it certainly performed that way. We arrived on dec 26th and were amazed to find the restaurant closed. The only reason given was "it's a holiday " . Sorry for a 5 star hotel that is fully booked this is nonsense. Anyway dec 26th may be considered a holiday in Strasbourg but it is not an official french holday.

Rather dissapointing stay due to lack of solution with regards to child bed. Hotel equipped with baby crib suitable only for infants. Our three years old daughter was forced to sleep with us on one bed. That was the only suggestion made by the staff. For almost 500 EUR that was not an ideal night.

Rooms were old I think we got stuck on the old side. We got 2 rooms the classic was super tiny not what the pictures showed. I would not stay here again for the price. The lobby was pretty.

Rooms are small, old and tired definitely not worth the money you pay. The common areas and lobby are small - almost non existent. Room service menu very limited in selection though quality was ok. We had arranged for a taxi to take us to the metro station upon check out and they forgot to book it and the concierge didnt even apologise. The only thing that makes this hotel worthy to stay is the location.

Pleasant experience although the bell staff and housekeeping service could be improved. No one greeted us upon checking in to help with luggages and then again when we left. Toiletries weren’t replenished everyday ( did not get replenished even on third day of stay until I called and asked).

That being the case, a beautiful spa and wellness area is located in a nearby street of the hotel, and we would be happy to recommend it to you during a future stay. We were so glad we did not cancel this trip . We wanted to experience Strasbourg at Christmas and once we heard that the terrorist perpetrator of the outrage had been shot we knew it was safe. We were not disappointed, especially with the Sofitel Hotel. A brilliant location in the centre for the Christmas Markets, the shops and the monuments. Excellent service, good local food and drink. and nice comfortable rooms. Only one tiny criticism - a lack of many international television channels, although h that may have been out of control of t he hotel if the sagtellite was down.

"Superior" room very small, tiny wardrobe, miniscule bath, dull and tired decoration. Room was barely big enough for one person, and certainly not superior double room. Dining room bare, functional and unwelcoming. Food bland, tasteless, unappealing. Very poor value for 403 euros/night (sans petit dejeuner!) All staff were pleasant, helpful and charming.
