stayed this hotel 4 times. only the first time was satisfied. second time chef on holiday, no dinner provided at the hotel's restaurant, breakfast was so so, which was not as good as the first time. third time the restaurant also closed. this time, restaurant also closed, no dinner, breakfast at the canteen which was not so good, whatever the ammosphere or quality of food etc. I booked this hotel 4 times also in August, which I understand is the holiday season in Europe. But, can't the hotel put the notice on the website that the restaurant is closed for holiday etc.!!!?? Honestly, I stay this hotel just because it's location in between Germany, and restaurant can provide the best Breakfast in Europe, and also very good quality dinner. But, honestly, I'll never book this hotel again in August.

The service at the Sofitel was superb. The staff was outstanding. I do not know how the reservation made in my name by me with my roommate's name added has been shown under her name and not mine. My email details are included here. I was disappointed that initially my reservation could not be found because of this error.

Stayed overnight. Room was spacious and clean. However the sheets and pillowcase on the bed had a musty odor. We told the front desk reception about this the next day and they notified housekeeping right away. The Front Desk Manager Beatrice was very apologetic and offered us complimentary drinks at their bar. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I suggest you add it on to your stay. Location of hotel is central.

This is the third time we stayed and were not disappointed . The hotel is located in the heart of the grand Ile and minutes away from the Cathedral . The staff are friendly and extremely helpful .

I liked the location of the hotel very much, everything was near us. Additionally, the staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Maryam. However, the rooms were small relatively.

The room was nice (with some areas for improvement, like missing tile in the bathroom). However, the staff really set the hotel apart and would make me choose this hotel again on my next visit to Strasbourg. Miriam was especially helpful and kind, giving restaurant recommendations and treating my 3 year old daughter like a VIP. I also saw her show a lot of compassion to a woman whose husband had an accident and needed to be taken to the hospital while staying at the hotel.

It was great apart from a fire alarm on the first night. This wasn't a problem in itself but not convinced that staff would know what to do in the event of a real fire - everything seemed a bit confused. There was no effort to see if people had left rooms, and when the fire doors closed it was quite difficult to locate the correct way out.

I enjoy staying at this hotel but feel that the rooms could do with a refresh. We are always made very welcome. I was told on arrival that I had been upgraded to a luxury room.That was a bit of a joke! What I got was possibly the smallest Sofitel room that I have been in. The bathroom was miniscule in fact it was a shower room not a bathroom. There was no space in this room to put anything! The paint was peeling on the bottom of the door The room also had an interconnecting door which I don't like. Having just driven across the Alps from Italy I was too tired to take issue about these things. I was not allowed to sign for things in the bar as reception forgot to take authority from me. Next time I will inspect the room before accepting it or stay at the Mercure next door!

This is a nice hotel with well trained staff, decent breakfast and good service. Room was just far too small for us. We booked a balcony room...balcony was plain with table 2 chairs and an ash tray. It was clear that previous guests were smokers as there was residual smell. Not the best. We had a lot of luggage and there was nowhere to put it all and access the room or the case without falling over. Staff were very helpful but I would not stay again at EU 280 per night,...I would value it at about 180 at most.

Very positive. I had a number of requests of the staff team (needed an iron, directions, recommendations for a place to watch the Women's soccer championships, wakeup calls) and all were responded to with courtesy and efficiency.
