I am happy to read that you appreciated the comfort of your Superior room as well as your breakfast, which is a complete and Alsatian-inspired buffet. I am particularly delighted to learn that the breakfast service did meet your expectations. However, I am chagrined to note that you were not fully satisfied regarding service at breakfast and charge. Be assured that I have personally informed our Food & Beverage Director about your remark, so that measures have been taken to improve the service. Regarding charges, you must know that they include a complete, seasonal and fresh buffet as well as “a la carte” service, which explain the price. We very welcomed warmly by an attentive and accomodating staff. The little details in the room were nice, such as Hermes amenities, great bed, toys and cookies for the children. But the room was small and worn out. The bathroom was in no way charming and the room felt small for a junior suite. At this price, we expect better.

This was one of many stays at this hotel and as usual was very good. The hotel could, perhaps, do with a refresh. The bathroom layout in room 305 was odd with the toilet very cramped (I am not a large person) A simple and obvious solution would be to turn it through 90 degrees! Never had this problem in any of the other rooms.

It was very good. The breakfast was as good as previous times. The only disappointment was that upgrade was not possible because status was not high enough. The repeater status doesn’t count.

Overall a positive experience. The room had a large bathtub, safe, slippers, a water boiler, good WiFi and minibar. My (Luxury) room offered a pleasant view over the square and was really quiet. I found the parking charge too high. You can park your car at a nearby public garage for little over half that charge.

My friend and I were planning to spend one night we enjoyed it so much that we extended an extra night, from first moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile I didn’t make a reservation the front desk staff toke care of everything getting me a reasonable rate as a member then the lovely bar with great service and view of a beautiful church really toke my breath away, breakfast was very good can’t wait to go back

Overall we had a very nice stay. Here some positive and negative points: +great location of hotel +excellent staff & service in the hotel +concierge recommendations were great +experience/athmosphere was top notch -breakfast experience wasn't too pleasant due to many birds (pigeons & sparrows) disturbing guests outside. Further the selection of the breakfast compared to other Sofitel Hotels (e.g. Bruxelles) wasn't as great. Lastly, would have preferred to have been notified by the breakfast staff what our breakfast options would be other than the buffet. -very small rooms (even we booked a superior room) -shower in the bathtub was very unconvenient -bit of a strange odor in the room -worst of all was the bed for us. The mattresses were totally outdated and terribly soft.

I am very sorry to discover that an offending odor and the bad quality of your mattresses, caused by a bad fixation of the bed base, prevented you from fully appreciate your time in your room. Please be assured that this unfortunate situation doesn’t reflect at all our usual high-quality services. Measures have been taken to prevent such issues to repeat. I also have transmitted your comments about the staff to our Breakfast Manager, so she can find a solution with her team to provide a better service and information at the breakfast. The hotel was on a quiet street and the hotel was fresh and the lobby was big and beautiful. The service was very high both in the lobby and other staff. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. The breakfast was wonderful and generous. The only downside was that when we asked to borrow an iron, this never came to the room as promised
