In regards to the experience at the hotel, there were many things about the service at the Novotel that were questionable, a list of my complaints below but I do want to mention that each of us (we were a large international group at the hotel due to a wedding) felt very unwelcome at the hotel despite all the business we brought in: 1) Friday: the hotel was supposed to give us a wedding booklet at check-in or place it in our room, but apparently forgot to do this (which is not a problem it itself). The bride told us we could therefore request the booklet at the reception, which I wanted to do on the first day before heading out for the day so I knew the shuttle times for the event that night. The reception had only one person working and was busy with another guest. I am not sure what they were checking but it took ages so I ran out of time – I needed the shuttle times before leaving the hotel. I tried to get her attention to politely squeeze in my question, but she actively ignored me. I then apologized for interrupting and asked if I could just kindly quickly get the booklet (which was laying right there, she just needed to hand it to me) because I was under time pressure. She rudely said “NO”, which was already a shock to me, but she then continued to bark “YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL I’M DONE HERE” at me in front of the other guest, who was also clearly confused by her sudden rage. I was in such a shock that somebody at a hotel would speak to me this way that I immediately left, completely terrified and with no desire to ever go back to the reception. 2) Saturday: The hotel did not have enough irons and all of us were wedding guests and needed to iron our clothes before the event. Normally, each room should have one, but the reception said the hotel only had 3 or 4 and they were all gone, so we had to go to the wedding with wrinkled clothes or use our hair straighteners – bot pretty bad options. They were not sorry or tried to help find solutions, which I found odd. We all travel a lot and are used to being at hotels, so this kind of service was shocking to all of us, 3) Sunday: on our last night, we had a dinner at the hotel with 8 people, 6 of us ordered steak. The waiter forgot to put 2 of those in so only 4 were brought out, leaving 2 of us without food. We were not mad because mistakes happen, but it took such a long time before the missing 2 dishes arrived that we had to start without the 2 friends. We asked again when everyone was finished with their meal after around 1 hour (!) and asked to speak with the manager to inquire about the missing plates. The manager refused to come and address the situation and when my friend got up to speak with her (she was in the bar area) she said “I’m too busy” to deal with this. Needless to say, the whole dinner experience was ruined, the poor staff felt terrible and seemed to be mortified by the manager, even though we assured them that we were in no way mad at them but with the way management handled it. The rest of the night was waiters apologizing to us, and us telling them how great they were and that they were not to blame – it was such a surreal experience and really uncomfortable to be part of. 4) Monday: My friends forgot her sunglasses somewhere at the hotel on Saturday before the wedding and didn’t notice until Sunday night. Since she had already left before me, she asked me to ask the reception if somebody had dropped them off, so I could maybe mail them to her. I went to the reception and asked if somebody found sunglasses at the pool (because we spent most of the day at the pool) and the lady at the reception showed me the sunglasses – which were my friend’s! – but said they were found at the gym. I said that makes sense, because we went to the gym after the pool, but she did not believe me and said she would not give them to me because – I quote: “well you said pool first”. I explained we were at the pool all day and then moved to the gym for a workout, but she basically accused me of lying and did not give me the sunglasses. Now my friend needs to call from Amsterdam and have them shipped – which is so unnecessary. Also, normally she should have asked if we maybe were somewhere else that day before giving me the “gym info” – what is the point of that? If I was really lying (which is super offensive to me still), why would she give me that info which now I could hand over to my friend (or any other random person)? Anyway, she emailed the hotel this week and the answer was "Sorry no sunglasses were found on fitness room." - could you explain what happened here? All in all, the hotel issue was a big topic during the wedding weekend and it’s a shame that all of these service issues put a dent in an otherwise great weekend in such a beautiful location. It was weird seeing such a relaxed group of people from so many places around the world all having bad service experiences. When we arrived we all thought the hotel was great, but at the end every single person said they regretted their choice.

Rooms are ok and internet is good. Did not use breakfast this time as I left at 6.15 am. However I got billed for the breakfast even though breakfast wasn't open. Have had to send multiple reminders before getting a reply a few days late. Ate at restaurant both lunch and dinner which was good. Bar staff sometimes don't really know what they are doing - seems like a waiter or waitress isn't where they are supposed to be. Drinks made wrongly a couple of times

The chefs and manager continually picked out and ate food from bowls that contained customers food. In addition they handled food with bare hands afterwards, some having licked their fingers. No gloves were worn at any time by any of the catering staff. The menu choice was very limited. The steak came suffocated by masses of horrible pesto and raw mushrooms were served with it. Dessert was ordered and despite reminding the staff THREE times that we had not received it, the desserts never arrived. Loud horrible music, poor service, completely unhealthy and unhygienic staff-a disgusting experience means that after staying at Avignon North Novotel several times a year for ten years, never again. It was far better before the ludicrous makeover which we have no idea what it is supposed to represent? Mexico, Hawaii, the Wild West? Just a terrible place to eat staffed by people who do not care.

Good hotel close to A7 for an overnight stopover. Room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant has been refurbished, but the music playing inside was too loud. Breakfast selection was good, but needs to be replenished more often.

The children enjoyed staying at the hotel but were disappointed that they could not use the PlayStation. The room was pleasant. The ladies cleaning the rooms on the 5th floor were so polite and friendly that they should be given a public relations position in your hotel!

Few negative remarks: - did not receive the requested wake-up call - bartender disappeared for a long time from the bar, peeps waited long to pay before going, manager had to phone in the bartender to come back to his bar - steak was not cooked as demanded 'bien cui' during dinner in the evening - lady at the reception preferred French guests over non-French Positive: - room accomodation - renovation of restaurant and, bar and lobby area is nicely done

I expected the hotel to be similar to two other Novotels (Beaune and Valence), where we have stayed before: comfortable, clean, conveniently located, etc. The Avignon Nord version had the added attraction of a full size swimming pool, an outdoors bar decorated convincingly with a tropical theme, an imaginative play area for children (though we weren't travelling with children, but I appreciated it all the same); and the food in the restaurant was exceptionally good.

I've been in that hotel for many years. People are helpful, friendly. The room is OK. The new (just learnt a year old already) bar, "Confidenciel" is great. Nice atmosphere, brilliant people, good feeling. Breakfast was and is always an issue: There are too many good options, even fresh-pressed orange-juice, causing a morning delay as you might eat more... ;-) You will always find something you like! The hotel has several options for kids to play and a nice pool - "family friendly" for sure. I'm German and we are known to always look for the missing 5%... ;-) Here are the few-little points to improve: - The magnetic access card system is old. Every time I've been there I had to go to the reception at least one time because my card didn't work any more. - The water pressure on the shower is pretty low. In all floors (I think I've been in all of them already). I really thought about taking my own shower head with me to reduce the number of holes and increase pressure this way. - The screen in the room is fix mounted. You need to stay in bed to view. I prefer to view from desk or couch (not in bed) but can not rotate the screen a bit. - The Aircon in the rooms is working but maybe a bit too loud. - The bar is missing some more simple "easy" food like a cesar salad or a some chicken nuggets. But the food is good! As written above: I do 100% recommend this hotel - as it's a great place to be. Also the fitness room has nice installations and can be used for free! A hint: Get a card for it to get free cold drink water... ;-)

We had a good time but there are a few things you can do to improve breakfast. More tables would be good. Cleaning the tables faster would be nice. Also adding more fresh food would be good. The pancakes are pre-made industrial pancakes. The muffins and cakes are pre-made industrial quality. The bacon is very undercooked. The worst food is the scrambled eggs. They are way too runny and undercooked. Many people weren’t eating them. My wife, who is french, found them disgusting. Can you tell me where you get the scrambled eggs? Do you break the eggs yourself and mix the scrambled eggs or do they come in a bag pre-mixed? I talked to you staff about the scrambled eggs two days in a row and nothing changed. The coffee was good and the sausage is good and the fruit is good and the croissants and pain au chocolat are good and the fresh orange juice is great but you need to fix the scrambled eggs. They are terrible. The piscine is great and the drinks at the bar are great.

Really enjoyed our stay. Room had a peculiar smell on entry but disappeared soon. Evening meal at hotel was expensive but of good quality. Breakfast was very good. Staff were on the whole very helpful. There was only one member of staff, at reception, who didn't seem to want to help us.

Our initial impression was that the hotel was a bit too far from the town for us. However we were glad of the location as we would not have liked to be right in town during the festival. We had come to spend our 4 days in and around the district and were delighted with our stay. We loved the hotel, food and service and your varied facilities. The hotel was perfect with a very good athmosphere. The restaurant was a very bad experience. We were sitting at the terasse. After we have ordered we waited one hour to be served. We asked the waiter when the food was coming and they informed that they had forgot it. Hereafter the food came and the offered free of charge an extra bottle of wine, good service. BUT next morning when we were presented the bill they had tried to invoice the extra bottle and even more food than we have ordered. A very good person in the reception saw that we (2 persons) saw that we could not have had dinner for more than 200 EUR and she modified the bill to the correct amount. A very good service in the the reception but a very bad experience in the restaurant
