The hotel room is really nice, big room. The bed is very comfortable. The gym and swimming pool are really nice. All of the staffs are very kindly and helpfull. I am very satisfied using Novotel Solo for my business travelling.

Satisfaction. Staffs at receiptions are great. We enjoy upgrade room to family room, clean, spacious room with wellcome fruits at our room. Staffs at lounge and bar also extremely great with warm welcome smile. We get 2 glasses of Margarita as wellcome drink at bar. Nice music with delicious peanut. Love the songs and ambiance. Really good experiences in the evening. Breakfast also great. Various selection from chinese foods, Indonesian cuisine or western style breakfast with great cappuccino .

There wasn't much value, for the price paid I expected more updated property and amenities. Almost every aspect of the property is outdated and seems overdue for remodeling/renewal through and through (caulkings in bathrooms looks dirty, floor laminate splitting, furniture skins peeling, outside the room in common areas the same appearance is also noticeable -- even the elevator felt unsafe to ride).

We were en route to Surabaya and we decided to stay in Novotel. The location is near to many restaurants, bank, and Klewer market that we could buy some clothes or other stuff. We also met my sister and she knew the hotel so I guess the hotel is famous and the location is good.

Yep...normal facilities at a normal hotel......but tell me....what is the point in having the Music in the bar SO LOUD that it is physically damaging......U may notice that most people choose to sit outside near the pool. The music is so loud that it creates vibrations and drinks rattle on the table. Try having a talk with anyone in the bar. There's someone in Solo with a decibel meter.....I suggest a test would deduce that the level of sound is harmful to ones hearing and may subject the Novotel chain to court action.

I was upgraded to Family Room no 821 due to my gold member. Check in was so slow, there’s only 1 man to handle all 4 people at the reception. I kindly asked him to get me a decent room and asked if the room was fully renovated. I asked for these because I know Novotel Solo is quite an old one. He said all is good. Once I’ve got in the room, everything is disastrous. One of the ceiling light was dead, hand shower was all grossly stained which made the water couldn’t flow properly. We even couldn’t use the head shower because instead of pouring down, it sprayed up onto the ceiling. The hairdryer even got a plastic tape around it, which made me couldn’t turn it off unless I clicked on the switch. And the worst of it all, was the soundproof. We can hear EVERYTHING from inside the room - the noise from the bar downstairs, the cleaning equipment and the constant noise that stays all day all night (I’m not sure what it is). I didn’t get a late check out too. I know it’s based on availability, but I’ve never been rejected for this simple matter before at all my stays with Accor around the world! Surely they can spare me a few more hours on a Wednesday, right?? Overall, my stay was HORRIBLE! They did fixed the shower and light problems, but the constant noise is disturbing. I’ve stayed in Ibis next door before and I think their maintenance is way better than Novotel. During my years of membership with Accor, I’ve never taken a survey before, let alone to write a complaint or review even I was disappointed with the hotel, but this time is too HORRIBLE to ignore. I won’t be back for sure and will strongly advise my friends and family to avoid this hotel unless you’ve done some serious renovation- not just a bed background change. Wake up, Novotel!

we stayed in a family room. we have good impression about the room though we expected more toilet amenities (comb and tooth paste). we like the breakfast, it was very complete breakfast. what we like the most is the swimming pools..both pools. the staff also very friendly.
