Cleanliness of the room can be improved. I found some rubbish around when I checked into the room. Other than that, room is comfortable with good quality amenities.

Great hotel. Great staff and service. Preserve traditional Jawa culture. The looks in dining room during breakfast time is great served traditional menu such as Soto seger and pecel. The staffs wearing kebaya and they always have pretty smile. Love the ambiance. There are 2 swimming pools and also play ground with small cute beds for toodlers to take a nap. Well recommended.

I stayed at the Novotel Solo for one night in August, 2018, while visiting friends. I stayed in Rm 502 which was clean and comfortable although the AC was too cold and even when turned down low, was still very cold. In addition, I could everything going on in the room next door (Rm 501), including a family talking until late at night and a crying baby. Overall, the staff were very polite and obliging. The coffee shop service, however, was very slow, and one of the dishes we ordered was found to have a staple in it! Apart from that, a very enjoyable stay.

We got a family room big enough for me and 2 kids. Food and stores are easy to find around the hotel. Breakfast was ok, staff were very friendly and helpful. Fast check in and out. Kids love the swimming pool because it is not to crowded at that time.

overall okay but I think I've mentioned my choosen types of room in booking.com but the front line asked again like she's not knowing about it. Also there are different in types of services towards local and foreigner. I thought this can't be happened in this kind of hotel but this happened! Foods aren't taste good enough for me and the menu stay the same everyday, not so much varieties. Street food taste so much better the hotel.

The centrally located Novotel is a luxurious oasis. The A/C is truly cold and the shower water, truly hot. Two pool areas allow for plenty of outdoor recreation. The breakfast, however, is the most spectacular: endless options of Indonesian and international foods.

Loved it. My background and career is in the hotel industry and whilst your hotel does need some investment to freshen up the physical property, the warm and genuine hospitality of your staff is at an extremely high level, and is something to be proud of. I would also like to give special mention to your Front Desk team. The three ladies who were on duty when I checked in gave me probably the best check-in of my life, and every time I interacted with any of the Front Desk team they were always wonderfully engaging and welcoming. I have worked in Front Office previously, and worked with many Front Office teams, and what makes your team so good is that they show their personalities to the guests - this makes such a positive difference as it allows for genuine interactions, rather then robotic processes. Thank you also to the chef who was on the egg station most mornings - he was always friendly eager to please - well done.

There was minor details of maintenance issue such as leak in the alley, lights off, and nail on wooden floor at the restaurant. I came to the hotel thinking it would be a good experience when i first stepped inside, but in the night i felt flies biting my wife and me. We also could hear the conversation from the other room since the walls were so thin. In addition, we called for toilet paper and did not get any. I am only giving this a 5 because it looked nice. Othee than that, it would have been lowered. Not coming back.
