Found a pair of underpants from the previous guest in the room upon check in. Coffee machine did not work. Did not have a kettle, even though there were tea bags in the room.

the music diffused during the breakfast is nonsense noise: between a cheap spa to a cheap disco. Early in the morning, it is quite desagreable. Are there not enough good classical or jazz choices ? or silence ? No real table to work on in my room : a strange oval low table where you cannot even lay a book.

I enjoyed the lovely views of the port and the plush bed, the room was impeccable, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The only recommendation I would give would be to switch to paper ear buds (not plastic).

« Great room marred by one small thing »

The hotel room was great. I really like Sofitel rooms. The concierge got me a reservation at an excellent restaurant that I wasn't able to get myself. The gym was small, but okay. Could be better. However someone who was in the room to clean smoked a cigarette whilst they were in the room. It's a non-smoking room, and I'm allergic to cigarette smoke (asthma). I got back late at night, and was too tired to change rooms, but woke up the next morning with a headache and a sore throat and had to use my inhaler. That marred an otherwise pleasant stay. Well, also the Moscow Mule at had at the roof bar was all ice and very little drink, but that's a minor problem :)

« We had a very good experience at the Sofitel. »

Very nice! Great location, great service. The outdoor, rooftop bar with a marvelous view of the harbor is outstanding especially with the full moon coming up over the mountain! (Thanks for having blankets!!) :-) The food in the hotel was also very good. Patio service was a bit slow to take orders, both times we ate there but overall, our stay was great!

« What a view! »

We stayed in high view room which had the most amazing view of the old port. The hotel is close enough to the city to walk in/out each day and there are plenty of restaurants in the area if you want to venture outside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and our French improved every day of our 5 day stay. The rooms could do with an upgrade and the windows need re-sealing. Overall can’t wait to come back!

Was ok, for the price I didn't find it great value for money, all the staff that I did meet and all the staff that served us where very warm, helpful and friendly, but felt the hotel was understaffed for the price of the hotel, I did stay at the adjoining hotel last year and found that one better value for money.
