while in europe, for 14 days, we never need to swipe credit card because it already paid off room including breakfast for 3 people. only in novotel, when check in must swipe the card and it turns out there is an additional breakfast charge. at breakfast the first day we asked with the condition of 3 people and 1 child who ate, how much additional cost we have to pay at the cashier front entrance buffet, he said everything is paid off, we think it's good novoel for 10 year olds is free to stay and breakfast. it turned out on my credit card bill 5557, BNI was exposed to the first day meal cost of euro 22.5 and second day euro 45. I do not like it that way, because out of the restaurant, finished breakfast the first day we already confirm whether there is an additional charge or not. and indeed only in novotel, breakfast for children is charged extra. in Switzerland, Rothaus hotel, Holiday inn rotterdam, free of charge.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Novotel City Amsterdam. It ticked all the boxes in what I consider a hotel should provide, the room was a good size, the bed was comfortable & good size, nice bathroom, the doors didn't bang when closing & the A/C was quiet when on. The breakfast room/ restaurant were excellent & the gift shop was also great! Well done & keep up the high standard!

« Good visit, major frustration with booking prolem »

I enjoyed my stay. When I checked in I was advised that my booking was not in the system. I booked through RAI and had the confirmation email as proof. I waited in the lobby for quite some time until a room could be found for me. The next day I had to check with the front desk to see if I could keep my room, even though I had the reservation through RAI. The staff was helpful, but this was a big inconvenience.

I was glad to choose Novetel Amsterdam city hotel for accommodation during the conference I have attended at RIA centre. I booked a superior room where it was not renovated ones. But I have no complain about it, it was still a comfortable room with necessity. Only down side, the room was a bit dirty in some area e.g. phone. But I guess it hard for the house keeper to take notice about it. Great location as it’s near tram, bus, metro and train . Friendly staff too.

« Disappointing, after staying at Novotel. Emirates, Dubai in April »

Poor Room, for 3 adults, a sifa bed is for a kid, pathetic house keeping - no milk and sugar kept with the complimentary tea, when requested filled with creamer but forgot tea bags and sugar, requested again got others, but no creamer - requested make up room at 10 am , returned at 4.30 pm to find it un made - had to wait in the lobby till 5.30 for the room to be made up - first day - no sheets and towels for third adult - and reception dramatically tells me, that we have up graded you - 2 nights at Euro 548 - now will never stay at a Novotel or Sofitel again - thanks for your in hospitality
