This was a fantastic hotel to stay at during our New Years trip to Amsterdam. The hotel is very accommodating with excellent staff and high quality rooms. The hotel is in a very nice area with good routes into the city and local areas.

« Very disappointing, staff very unhelpful and rude, rooms where in such a poor state’ »

It was a very bad experience I’d much rather forget!! The rooms was of a standard that could only be described as a hostel actually probably worse I stayed in the Hoilday inn last year and thought I was upgrading staying in the nova hotel how wrong was I Hoilday inn was such a better hotel!

Stay was fine, but Accor hotels have decided to not award points for stays booked through third-party websites. Until this policy is reversed I will leave poor reviews and ratings of any hotel brand with this practice and encourage everyone I talk to, to do the same.

« Poor customer service »

I am a bit disappointed with the service i received. Firstly check in was a hassle. We ( i was with a family member and his kids, they were in separate rooms) were sent to double rooms not the triple we had booked. We received no helpful information. I am an Accor member but was offered no greetings or recognition - neither was there any benefits or offers available to me as an Accor member. We were not told the full details regarding breakfast.. We were not told that an adult must attend with kids, we repeatedly asked the front desk staff and they kept saying kids eat free, not that an adult has to pay. I was also shouted at by a cleaner, as she claimed that my children were making a noise. I asked her to be respectful and that keeping quiet is no problem. I reported this to the duty manager, she seemed pleasant, but again no communication or apologies etc after i made the complaint I am never one to complain but was overall quite disappointed in my stay at Novotel..I have many family members who stay at Novotel Amsterdam many times a year.

« a return customer, but totally dissapointed. »

Room was not clean daily. mini bar was not replenish, despite numerous calls and had to call everyday. ordered room service and it took 1 hour 45mins to reached (after 3 called to the room service). Will never ever stay there again.

Location is nearby with the train and tram station (Amsterdam RAI), 2 stops from schiphol. Hotel facilities and bfast are nice, but a bit difficult to find a cafe or restaurant. Overall : Recommended

Restaurant - Good breakfast. Housekeeping - Pathetic. Attitude needs to change. I was on vacation with my family for almost a month and i stayed for more than 7 hotels. I would rate this hotel as he worst. The rooms were not clean, and when requested for cleaning the carpet the lady said she is supposed to go home my 5 and its already late and difficult to do. The attitude of housekeeping FrontDesk : Pathetic attitude Due to he bad experience with housekeeping, before leaving out, we spoke to front desk to ensure that room is cleaned before we come back. the reply : ( i guess his name was kevin ) : we have 600+ rooms cannot promise that we can do it. I shall see what best can be done. This was highlighted later to another manager and he apologized for that. Anyway the attitue of the staff has to improve. The staff in the conceige were good.

Average room, 4 night stay cleaned only on two, TV no English speaking channels for two day, reception blamed wind which was non existent. Final day room service advised us to attend shop at reception as they were really busy 20 minute wait. Male staff member at reception was initially rude when we returned to collect our luggage before departing. The best staff member we encountered was at check out, someone had used our room number at reception shop, but the young lady dealt with it tremendously well managing to be both apologetic and extremely professional.

Enjoyed stay. Booking via central Accor booking was a Challenge and the request for linked refurbished rooms did not quite made it. But Staff at welcome / Roy made all the difference and made us very welcome. Staff at restaurant was very pleasant and very attentive. A pleasure. Would stay again if we come back to A’dam.
