« Very disappointing stay »

I stayed at the hotel last week, during my visit to the ISE show at RAI. I had booked 2 rooms and made sure to get the newly renovated rooms with the 55 inch tv's and queen sized beds, as this would be my third time staying at the hotel. When we arrived, we were given the standard room on the 14th floor, it seemed like a double bed and a small Philips tv. So not the newly renovated room that we had paid for. Also, work commenced next to my room with drilling and hammer noise at around 7:10am. I understand that the hotel is going through some renovations, but this time is far too early for work to start. I would expect such noisey work to start after 9am, at the earliest. So my well earned extra rest in bed was ruined. For an expensive stay, i expected more. My previous 2 visits, again during the ISE show, have been great. However, this stay was very poor.

Every body understands renovation, but starting so early in the room above you is not acceptable. Reception did apologise at check out, and as I was at a show at the RAI every morning, it did not bother me too much, but I was not asked at check in if that would be the case. When paying such a huge amount for a room, you do not expect that kind of lack of respect to a guest. Staying on the 11th floor when the hotel is busy, with only three of the four lifts working does make every trip in the elevator exceptionally slow. That is of course, once they have turned up!

The good parts: The service and support in managing the electric cart which I needed in order to attend the RAI. Your people went out of their way to support my needs. The bad parts: Housekeeping did not clean my room each day. Also many of our people had different experiences with stuff missing from their rooms.

I stayed 5 nights at the Novotel Amsterdam as I was attending a trade show. Very welcoming staff at reception, shop and bar. Perefextly clean and spacious room on 6th floor. Quiet room and comfortable bed . A lovely place to return too after the rigours of stand duty!

There was no challenge while at the hotel. But while staying there I have signed up for "Fast checkout" and that turned out to be a bad experience. My card has been utilized for all wrong reasons and now I had to invest time in clearing all those. It has been a truly bad experience in that sense.

« Great hotel, shame about the mice ! »

Great hotel and close for the Rai, new rooms done to excellent standard...the one problem was seeing mice running around in the breakfast room at nights. My colleague mentioned it to the staff and they said they were dealing with it....I did not eat breakfast the next day !!!!

Recently stayed at Novotel for the third time while visiting the RAI. Every visit has been a great experience - staff are extremely friendly, efficient and hospitable, facilities are great and the rooms very comfortable, well-equipped and stylish. Highly recommended, particularly for work trips. And the bar staff make very fine cocktails too, happily...

Room fine. Coffee sachets taken away left with none. Hung towels up they were taken away not replaced until house keeping came to check and challenge me. Dinner rump steak! Was awful Med rare was blue and tough. Got woken up by workmen in the room above at 7.30am. Apart from all of that we as usual enjoyed our break. WHAT HAS HAPPENED ABOUT OUR APPLICATION FOR AN ACCOR CARD.

As a Novotel regular, the overall service and expectations were met. However, I missed the "executive lounge" access that's available in other Novotel properties, Singapore Clare Quay for example! Thank you so much for early check in and late check out. Much appreciated.
