We stay regularly in the Novotel hotels in Europe. But the worst of all. A hard and dirty bed for our 15 year old daughter . The Breda Novotel . was cheaper much cleaner and with a larger room . Disappointing

The rooms are somewhat small but the hotel has a great service. It can also be very expensive in some periods. we ended up paying 260 euro per night for a room that could only fit two adults and a child by squeezing everything together.

The hotel was generally very good The restaurant area for breakfast well run and the one evening meal we had was very good.The staff that we had contact with were all very friendly and polite.The one criticism we have is that the carpets certainly on our floor (12th) were clean but worn and could do with renewing.Other than that the hotel from check in to check out was very well run.The location is good especially with it being so close to the railway station and the very efficient tram system which made access to the airport and the city very easy.

the hotel has a grand lobby with a drinking bar. It is close to train and metro station. Nevetheless the rooms are old with small bedroom and toilet. Staff are friendly yet when you ask them about room changing i.e. I request to change room since the room description from my confirmation email is different to the one I lived, they will act ignorant and said nothing can be change.

« a return customer, but totally dissapointed. »

Room was not clean daily. mini bar was not replenish, despite numerous calls and had to call everyday. ordered room service and it took 1 hour 45mins to reached (after 3 called to the room service). Will never ever stay there again.

Restaurant - Good breakfast. Housekeeping - Pathetic. Attitude needs to change. I was on vacation with my family for almost a month and i stayed for more than 7 hotels. I would rate this hotel as he worst. The rooms were not clean, and when requested for cleaning the carpet the lady said she is supposed to go home my 5 and its already late and difficult to do. The attitude of housekeeping FrontDesk : Pathetic attitude Due to he bad experience with housekeeping, before leaving out, we spoke to front desk to ensure that room is cleaned before we come back. the reply : ( i guess his name was kevin ) : we have 600+ rooms cannot promise that we can do it. I shall see what best can be done. This was highlighted later to another manager and he apologized for that. Anyway the attitue of the staff has to improve. The staff in the conceige were good.

Pros: Very clean (mostly), and cozy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I woud love to stay here again :) Cons (relatively minor ones): Maybe understaffed a bit (-- for example, many peole were waiting to check-in but there were only two staff). I kept seeing some garbage in the hallway on my floor (-- some people staying on the same floor kept putting their unfinished meals out in the hallway, and they just sit there until the next morning no matter what). The shortcut for wake-up call on the room phone was not working. The hairdryer was not working too well.

One night room has not ben cleaned at all (I was out all day so plenty of chances to come in and tidy a bit and the room needed it unfortunately due to advserse weather conditions and some leaevs that got inside on the suitcase rolls). When I rang reception to ask for somebody to at least replensih some coffee - had to wait 45 minutes for that to happen. No sign of embarassment on the reception side nor offer to clean the room. Had a problem week before also when the minibar was not restockedand again, my call was treated as nuisance. I don't feel that customer loyality is appreciated in this hotel.

We first stayed in this Novotel when our son took his first steps through a connecting room.Just us this time and the place is still magic. The views and location are excellent and the initiative to get 5 euros to not have your room cleaned is a fabulous idea, especially on a 3 night stay like ours. Breakfast was very good, especially the omelettes (but the pancakes disappeared after the first morning). The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant, thanks to Son in the bar. We won't be waiting 21 tears to return.

Plus points God location. Tram station & Train station 5 mins away. Good value for price charged Minus points If you charge for triple room. It should be a larger room and not the same as double room with sofa. So we paid more for being honest. Room service is totally put off when you are asked to come down to reception to collect your dental kit especially when you are pressed for time considering the hotel is a hit with business traveller's.

I think this hotel is an ideal combination of convenience, comfort, and value. While it's not in the heart of the city, it is a couple minutes walk to station RAI which offers Metro, train, and tram access. As a result, getting there from and getting back to the airport is easy. The hotel itself has a warm welcoming staff who is always ready to help in any way they can. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a wide selection of hot and cold options. They recently expanded their food shop just off the reception area, and now it's got a range of snacks and beverages, as well as some food. If you just want something quick, it's a very convenient place to stop. I stayed in one of their renovated rooms, and I was very pleased with the condition and comfort they now offer. I feel this Novotel offers a great value for someone who wants to be near the city and have easy access to it, while at the same time appreciating the less crowded area in which the hotel is located. I'm looking forward to returning there in a couple months when I'll be back in Amsterdam.

Very comfortable room although the 'sofa' was actually a single-seater chair. No facility to press clothes in room. No milk for making tea in the room, only coffee creamer. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, a great help in planning public transport routes to places being visited. Breakfeast outstanding but room service meal, less so.

I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. The room was located on the 2nd level above the gym and the noise of dropped weights kept waking me up very early in the morning and was annoying between 10-11PM. The smell of the type of dirty rubbish bins was almost constant. Dirty dishes from the adjacent hotel rooms (after in room dinner service) left in the corridor on the floor were not removed for almost a day and the smell was very unpleasant. The window in the room was very dirty (from outside). The pillows were very uncomfortable. There were paper cups for making tee or coffee instead of normal glasses. Breakfast was good but lacked consistency. On some days there were baked bins or tomatoes but on other days they were replaced by some odd cooked vegetables. Scrambled eggs were always cold and not tasty. Don't ask for noodles with prawns (just 3!) and shrimps (tiny 5 or 6) at the hotel restaurant if you want to have a good dinner.

We have stayed at a few Novotel hotels, but this one tops it all. Great location, and very good service. Kevin at Front Deck was exceptional. He went above & beyond with our stay. A great asset to Novotel, Amsterdam.

I stayed for one night at this hotel. It was very comfortable and staff were very helpful. Food was good and it was convenient for our purpose. It is a little away from the city which would be a downside for a longer stay.

This is an affordable hotel, but not in the central part of the city. The rooms are rather small, but functional. There is only one restaurant and not many nearby. The front desk staff is minimal and long waits to check in or out.

Not a nice hotel to stay with a small "not cold" fridge, air-conditioning not that cold & thus an uncomfortable place to stay for 4 nights. Everything must be on request for instance, indoor sleeper, 5 Euro voucher for choosing not to clean & make up room. Expecting shaver & a comb to be provided with a bottle of complimentary drinking water.
