Easy to find just off motorway.Very clean fresh hotel with exceptional staff in all areas; booking in,room service,breakfast and booking out.Good choice of food for room service and breakfast.Only downside was a noisy AC unit in our room, but still did not spoil our stay.

The room was very comfortable, clean and had air conditioning which was needed as weather was so hot. It was very noisy at times though. Woke us up at night. Shower was great, bathroom was clean and modern.

Easy check in, with pleasant staff. Room was clean and set up for the family, clean sheets, great shower. We stayed for 2 nights with dinner on first night which was really good, My only disappointment was, which is minor in reality was only 2 cups and condiments were not refreshed on 2nd day.

Overall the room was comfortable; however the air conditioning unit which I'd switched off as it was noisy, came on twice in the night and woke me up once at 2.00am and once at 6.00am.

On Friday when we arrived staff were very welcoming and friendly. We stayed at this hotel as we were having a family get together on the Saturday lunch time in Leicester. We were in room 333. During Friday night we could hear people talking loudly and we could smell cigarette smoke in our room. I closed the window. The noise was still going about an hour later and we could still smell cigarette smoke in our room where we had two children. I then phoned reception who reported they would investigate. The noise went quiet but we still had the cigarette smoke smell in our room. The loud talking then started again and I phoned reception for the second time. They reported they knew who it was and would see to it. The room we had was one with a locked door into the next room. It turned out the noise and smell of cigarette's was coming through this door and had been coming through the window until I closed it. In the morning I spoke to the staff member who I had rang during the night. He informed me that the person in the room next to us was a long-term resident and he had invited guests back to his room. The staff member said that on the second occasion he asked the guests to leave. We were extremely unhappy to be put in this room with having someone next door inviting people back in the middle of the night for a party and who were smoking. The smell of smoke in the room was very upsetting knowing our young children were breathing this in. I don't think a long-term resident should be put in a room next to a family room with a connecting locked door. I asked to be moved rooms for our second night as we did not wish to experience this again. It was a shame this happened when we were having our yearly family get together that day and we were tired from lack of sleep and upset at what had happened. On Saturday night when we got back to the hotel we had been moved into another room. My husband at this point realised he had left his T-shirt in room 333. We asked behind the reception desk and a cleaner about the missing T-shirt but it could not be located. We found this strange as if something is found in a room we thought it would go into lost property or track the people down who are still in the hotel. On a plus note our second night was quiet and we all slept well after having a nightmare the previous night. On check out we were re-funded the first night. I wasn't going to fill out a review until I spoke to my friend last night who actually stayed with her family in the same hotel in the same room 333 on Sunday 22nd July. She stated that during the night they heard a loud banging of the door in the room next to them a few times and in the morning they smelt cigarette smoke in their room. The big thing for me is the hotel is meant to be non-smoking!

The hotel is 100% a non-smoking building, with the designated smoking areas available outside and unacceptable should someone found to be smoking in the hotel. I am sorry that your first night with us was not a comfortable one and I hope the refund for this night compensated for this trouble. In regards to the missing t-shirt, nothing has been found. All lost property is logged and stored and nothing was found in the room. I will ask our housekeeper to check with our laundry company to see if it get mixed in with the linen and if so i will be in touch. Ideal for easy access to the M1. The rooms are refurbished to a good standard and are very comfortable and clean. All the staff from reception, bar and cleaning are all friendly. What let’s the hotel down is the catering. The breakfast has a choice for all tastes with efficient staff. The restaurant was closed on both Saturday and Sunday evenings without any notification. The bar food is mediocre and below expected standard, the sandwiches are the worst I have ever had! The Manager really needs to look into this, it spoils an otherwise good stay.

We booked well in advance for a Saturday night stopover with breakfast on Sunday morning. We thought the room fee of 69.00 was really competitive. We arrived on the Saturday afternoon and booked into a downstairs room as my wife is disabled. We were really impressed with the room and the wet room. The receptionist was excellent and very professional. We had a cooked meal on Saturday night prior to going out. I had ribeye steak which was absolutely superb and brilliantly cooked. My wife had a beefburger. The food was excellent and well cooked. The breakfast on Sunday morning was also excellent with as much as you could eat if you wanted it. All in all, an excellent experience and we would definitely stay again and strongly recommend this hotel. My one and only slight gripe is that the sign at the entrance off the road is too small and hard to read, and we drove past the entrance 3 times before eventually finiding it. It could do with a much bigger and better sign at the entrance. Someone else beside us had exactly the same problem as they mentioned it over dinner.
