Getting shuttle to hotel was difficult. The breakfast which was supposed to be included wasn't. Paid for breakfast but it was very mediocre. Much of furniture in the room had stains on it including carpets in room and common areas. Pool and common areas were nice. Convenient to airport. Most staff members were professional and helpful.

Totally awesome, from the front desk to the outside crew all very kind, nice, considerate and helpful. I enjoyed the fitness club, the pool, the many day and evening events, which many of the day events were interactive. The rooms were nice, but I had a very poor view from my window, it faced the back of another building, but I did get sunshine, the bed was very comfortable and the cleaning staff was very nice as well. I totally enjoyed the free full breakfast, all you can eat, that was great. The best thing however, was when they recognized my birthday and celebrated it with me,presenting me with a wonder torte cake, which was fabulous, also when I had an issue it was taken care of immediately. I didn't like how you had to sign onto the wifi every 24 hours and many times it would automatically disconnect you and you had to sign on again and again until it worked. The wifi in the lobby for the public was much better than in the rooms. However, I do understand the necessity of have to sign on every 24 hours. The fast food was good, the fried calamari but the other fried fish was not good, it was soaked in grease and had no flavor. I ate at the Italian restaurant inside the lobby and ordered the Salmon it was as dry as your desert, totally over cooked, it only takes 5 mins to bake or grill salmon, I was very disappointed with this meal, but the rice and carrots were very good. The manager stepped in and make everything beautiful.

As I always says it my second home, since I enter from outer gate of the hotel parking everyone is welcoming and helping me creating a friendly family atmosphere, the location is at the airport and it has a free shuttle to the airport every 30 minutes, breakfast is good with wide variety.

« A relaxing haven in the middle of Cairo »

A lovely clean hotel with good pool/ outside area. Staff were friendly and helpful and despite being near the airport, it was quiet and a lovely relaxing haven away from the choas of Cairo centre. Good restaurants and a lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay there again next time.

The staff made the difference for my experience. From front desk to airport assistance to room assistance, all staff were superior. Ahmed, coordinator for airport, went to the highest level of assistance I have ever received over my 50 years of travel. I had left my ATM card in the machine while getting entry visa. He managed to retrieve it by personally back-tracking all my steps. Amazing help. I'll never forget it.

« Very bad treatment from the shuttle driver and discrimination in treatment of guests from the reception manager!! »

I used to stay at Novotel Airport, Egypt, every time I travel abroad or when I come back from travel and transit one night in Cairo, thus usually, I call the shuttle driver and ask him to pick me up from the airport. Wel, this time, I called the driver but he was SO RUDE. This was VERY disappointing to me. He needs to learn communication skills and how to answer politely especially to guests. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a problem where the toilet handle was not working properly and I was coming back very tired and wanted to sleep, so I didn't call the room service to fix the issue. When I was checking out, there was a relatively short line, and the receptionist was nice, but disappointingly, the reception desk manager was discriminating in treatment between Egyptian and foreign guests (which is totally UNACCEPTABLE and SHAMEFUL). If the management wants to maintain their business and reputation at Novotel Airport, Cairo, then many things need to change. Otherwise, stop accommodating Egyptians at your hotel until you treat them at least evenly with foreigners.

Relaxing overall! After two weeks touring in unseasonably hot weather, it was a treat to have a quiet poolside afternoon. The overall ambience and our room in the new wing were both soothing.

Room clean and comfortable, breakfast absolutely not appetising, service is bad, you have to put yourself your luggage on the x-ray scanner for example. Only the Staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly.

It was a pleasant surprise to be met at Terminal one inside the airport for a swift move through security etc. Efficient and cheerful airport transfers made travel to airport good. Check in took a little longer than usual even with online check in but that mainly due to location and extra paperwork required in Egypt. As it was Thursday night there was live entertainment in the lobby bar was extremely loud and made it difficult to hear the receptionist so prolonged check in a little. As there was also live entertainment in the restaurant there was nowhere quiet for a drink at that time late night. Room was good and quiet. Some noce facilities round pool nice and clean did not have chance to use.

The Hotel is not on Novotel Standard. As Accor Gold Member i stay at novotel worldwide and this one in cairo is very poor. Roomservice is poor and not working properly. Nespresso machine never were cleaned and there were capsules from the guest before me.....moldy capsules in machine.... The telephone did not work, it was not possible to call somebody outside and reception was overwhelmed to get this call for me. The carpet in the corridor was dirty and damaged. The cleanliness was in general poor Next time i will chosse Lepassage again

« Not much 'wow' factor! »

It was my first visit to Cairo - I chose the hotel because it was close to the airport, thinking I could easily get into town if I stayed there. Something of a nightmare to find the hotel shuttle outside, even though the hotel had confirmed they would pick me up. Eventually a group of policemen helped me to locate it and fight my way through a huge crowd of taxi drivers trying to get my custom. Arrived OK at hotel, but staff on reception simply handed me my room card - no welcome pack or information about the hotel, including breakfast times provided. I assumed there would be something in the room, but not the case - so had to ring back to reception. My room was OK quiet and clean - but a long way to walk from Reception past swimming pools etc - it would have helped to have someone show me the way, help me to operate the lift (I eventually realised I needed to use my thumb, not the room card!) Dinner in the Italian themed restaurant was nice and reasonably priced. Main problem - I was told the only way I could get to my destination (new Cairo) was by taking a hotel taxi. The cost would be 60 US$ single or 90 US$ return. I've never stayed at any hotel where it wasn't possible to call me a taxi - I suspect for Cairo there are cheaper ways to get into town (and cheaper taxis!) Finally, although a couple of members of staff did go out of their way to help me with difficulties, I'd rather make up my own mind whether to tip or not. This was my first experience of staff actually asking for tips! So perhaps I won't be staying at this one again..
