« Good overnight stopover. »

Reception, room, breakfast and airport transfer very satisfactory. Bar and restarant less so. Getting our complimentary drink before our dinner - bar staff really did not know how to process it through the till (a new employee?) And it took over 10 minutes to get our drink. Also, we had specifically checked the restaurant dinner menu on the hotel website before deciding to eat there - the menu we were offered was quite different and, for us, far less to our taste. The food was OK, no more. We will use the hotel again but not the restaurant.

« Exactly what I needed »

Everything was perfect. I had a very late checkin which they accommodated without question. The breakfast was delivered straight to my room the next day and checkout was only at 12:00 which gave me plenty of time to still enjoy my morning without rushing.

Room was fine ; dinner average. ; breakfast poor ; tables unprepared , cutlery and crockery missing , food items either missing or in very short supply and very understaffed . All in all , poor value at over £ 200 for one night .

Breakfast- more staff needed to cleanup, refill the foods Checkout-staff didn't inform the parking gate password. I had to go up and ask. It will be nice for them to tell me upon my checkout

« It was is fine quick stay »

It was fine for a short stay. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly enough. There is not a lot to do in the area but it is right across from the airport with a free shuttle. The blow dryer in the room was not good as you could hardly feel any air coming out of it and the sheets on te bed are not true sheets but rather thin waterproof fabric.. My main complaint is we asked at the front desk about transportation into town area. They told us ab the bus, where to catch it and the cost of 1.50 euro each. They neglected to tell us that once you buy the ticket from the bus driver you have to get it stamped in a machine immediatley. There are no signs in english only in french. So....our 3.00 euro ride turned into a 80 euro ride as we were accosted a few minuetes later along with 2 other tourist who had their luggage with them after arriving from their flight and heading to a hotel. We were escorted off the bus and told we were being fined for not validating the ticket we had literally just purchaded and we were forced to pay it on the spot through intimidation. One of the other couples said they did validate it but they were not accepting that as the men said they must have put it in backwards. It was a total set up and very intimidating! Warm Welcome...NOT. The hotel should educated their guest on this money making practice.

The first time we check in, upon arrival to Nice, France was great. The service was outstanding by your reservation clerk. They checked us in very quickly, and guided us to our rooms and gave us information about the restaurant for breakfast in the morning.

Good soundproofing BUT very noisy air conditioning which was inefficient didn’t cool room enough. Bed too soft and hot so couldn’t sleep and drenched in sweat. In bathroom terrible sewage smell from wash basin and ventilator made squeaking noise so had to keep door shut which made smell worse. Not a good experience in room 604.

« There was a great deal of difficulty with checking in »

1) The front desk gave our room to my sister. When I checked in an hour later they could not find my reservation. They then thought that perhaps I had a reservation under my other sister's name who had stayed the week before. The front staff was apologetic and very kind but they had difficulty straightening this out. They did also have some computer difficulties that might've caused some problems. 2) the Google website has the Novotel Nice airport suites hotel phone number attached to the Novotel arenas information. 3) when I called the phone number that was on the Google website, the individual answering the telephone (thus calling the Novotel suites Hotel) did not confirm that I was staying at the suites. 4) we were told by the Novotel suites to be at quay at the airport. We missed the shuttle the first time because the shuttle did not actually pull into the quay bay as a bus would but was on the other side of the planter in the front (but we acknowledge it was our fault for not looking in that direction). Although we were on the wrong shuttle, the shuttle driver very kindly brought us to the correct hotel. He also thought to call his suites hotel to make sure that we were not actually register their since the person at the front desk who sent the shuttle to us did not check to see that we were registered at the hotel. The hotel room was very comfortable and a good bargain. The restaurant salad bowl with "tempura fish" was an odd mix of items and was not very tasty. The fruits de mer salad had peanuts in it so tasted a bit odd. The fish soup was good. The fennel salad was good.

« Nice but may be improved a lot »

We've asked for a baby bed and they've told us there were no more available. The space in the room was not sufficient for 3 people + baby as per our reservation. The sofa-bed that was inside the room was very difficult to open and at the end we've decided to give up and to sleep on the sofa. Breakfast is very similar to what you can have at IBIS or IBIS budget at a really lower rate. In summary not a good stay with price/performance not very good in my opinion. x
