« Clean and convenient hotel for business »

As usual, clean and convenient hotel close to the office. This time the checking wasn’t too good, seems like the receptionist didn’t like myself asking for my key after checking in online. She didn’t know about silver membership.

« A very noisy disruptive night »

We had children running up and down our corridor until 23.30 at night and the parents with them had four rooms on our floor and were oblivious to the disruption they were causing. The next morning I discovered the fire doors on our floor had been closed however the previous night they had not surprisingly. Maybe a guest had done so to stop the children literally in there path.

Hotel corridors are quite old but bathroom and bedroom furniture's are fine and got renovated. I had a room to the garden and that was very pleasant. Garden is very nice and even surprising (calm as well) towards the surrounding industrial area. Restaurant and breakfast are also fine from price-quality ratio point of view

The place is quite a nice place lovely staff and more importantly trained people. We were warmly welcomed. Nice room only that the room we had wasn't big for family. Our children wasn't added to our booking by the receptionists for some unknown reasons and we believe that was the reason we had that room. However they new room should have been given to us because it was their fault for not adding the children but the didn't. For the rest it was OK. Nice breakfast.

One person to assume all check out this friday morning while the hotel is full . 25 mn to wait when you have appointment !!!! My business partner had to leave his key as 10 persons was waiting , So his room was invoiced on my credit card . Service is a shame in this hotel for lower that the standard in NOVOTEL

Convenient located. Price per night sometimes too high. I only stay there when around €80/night. breakfast too expensive for the quality and choice. Hotel needs upgrade, broken doors, stains in carpet. It's clean but everything looks very tired.

The hotel was friendly and clean and had everything we needed. The staff were so attentive and made sure we were looked after every step of the way. The rooms could do with modernising but were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff also made sure the children were happy which created a happy family atmosphere. We actually stayed here for 4 nights and spent our last night at a Novotel in Ypres , although the rooms were of a better standard , the staff were no where near as friendly as at Antwerp. The bar was closed in the afternoon and although the hotel was quiet they would not let us check in so we could go and grab a drink and bite to eat so had to wait 40 mins until the clock struck 2pm . The staff were not welcoming or friendly just very buissness like . We will definitely stay at the Novotel in Antwerp again but not the hotel at Ypres .

The stay was overall very comfortable. but over the 2 weeks of staying there it was obvious to see that the restaurant was the weak link. They were all friendly and well mannered but the organization and speed of service was really bad. When the Restaurant was full there just wasnt enough people and they kept forgetting orders, getting orders wrong and in some cases missing people completely. The cleaners seemed very pleasent and fresh towels were always available. The guys and gals on reception were very good and extremely helpful.

The hotel and facilities are good, as you would expect from a Novotel. The restaurant where we had dinner was less impressive. We inquired about gluten free options for dinner, and the waiter did not have any under standing (in 3 languages) what we were talking about. I booked this Novotel because they assured me before my stay that gluten free meals would be available in the restaurant. However, it seems staff in the restaurant have zero awareness of this. I have stayed in many Novotels, and in many cases (Rouen, le Touquet) they have a separate Gluten Free menu available. Not so great in Antwerpen.
