« Real luxury in the heart of Vichy »

This is a really lovely hotel. We only stayed one night but would enjoy staying longer. It has a nice pool with a terrace and, as the weather was good, we were able to dine outside as the restaurant also has a terrace. The room was extremely comfortable and the staff could not have been more helpful.

The hotel is located very close to the centre of Vichy, with excellent parking and good facilities. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit the area, whether for business or leisure. I've noticed a common theme with the Accor Hotels I have stayed in, that being the friendly and helpful attitude of the staff. That was very much the case here.

Average. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Air conditioning in the room (502) not good enough when the weather got hot. Evening meal was very poor - especially for the vegetarian option. Room was very clean but the decor was dated. The hotel feels as if the whole infrastructure needs updating and you are saved by some very welcoming staff. Would rate the hotel lower than the 5 stars thus found it expensive for the standard.

« a supposedly 4-stars hotel definitely not up to this standard »

Very disappointed by the whole stay. The hotel is not at all a 4-star Mercure such as others we stayed at this summer (for instance the Mercure Perigueux Centre). On our arrival we asked for some indication for a restaurant and we were shown on the map a part of Vichy, where we went (after quite a walk) and found every restaurant closed for the summer holidays, only to find on our own a nice area along the river at only 5 minutes from the hotel with nice restaurants and a lively atmosphere. The structure is out-dated, needing full restoration, even the carpet in the room had an unpleasant discoloring due to something having been badly spilled on it. In the room Wifi was quite unstable and cleanliness dubious and though we asked for a quiet room, there was a continuous noise from some machines placed probably on the roof. No Italian channels on the TV.

« A rather disapointing stay »

We were surprised,having many satisfactory previous expeiences of this hotel,as e4videnced by earlier positive responses,at how dark and dingy the room and particularly the bathroon were.Moreover the walling to the balcony was quite dirty,bordering on filthy and requires immediate painting. The cost of the room was quite expensive and one expects and usually gets value for money here.Not on this occasion. On positive notes the staff were friendly and helpful.The air conditioning was working well breakfast was good as usual.

A really nice hotel that I would stay at again. BUT. The rooms are too hot (even with the heating turned off). Save some energy, be ecological and stop cooking your guests :-)

« Nice weekend getaway »

Very nice rooms, with a good restaurant and a sumptuous breakfast menu. Nice friendly staff. Very close to city centre, and almost everything worth visiting in Vichy is a walking distance from here. Only sad part was that the spa connected to the hotel was closed, but there was a gret one just next door.

Regret that due to bad weather from Jersey to Saint Malo the ferry was cancelled & delayed for 24 hours so I had to spend the night at Mercure Rennes Cesson Hotel instead of yours.

« Another enjoyable Stay »

Despite being allocated a purpose fitted Handicapped Persons Room, which was totally impractible, on arrival and having had no advice prior to going to the room, we advised Reception of the problem and after a while we were allocated another room. Dinner and breakfast were very good. All other aspects were fine.
