With friends to go to Arc at Chantilly convenient from airport and racecourse taxis to and from reason able price. Staff in all departments excellent. A car would be helpful as near motorway and not a lot in surrounds but restaurant in hotel very good and varied.

Regularly stay in Mercure, Campanille, Kyriad, this was a little more expensive than I usually pay and therefore disappointing by comparison. I reserved a table for dinner on check in, when I got to the restaurant an hour later they had no record of the booking. Bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke and had drink stains on the desk and bedside table.Spacious and well equipped, tea/coffee facilities in room Service for drinks and food was slow particularly given the number of staff around. Facilities very good, light and bright spaces in reception and bar area. Plenty of secure parking just off the Autoroute. A little overpriced compared to others nearby.

The hotel is just north of the main airport so quiet a good location, the staff were very helpful and the room was large and clean. The facilities were very good but the restaurant menu was a little basic and not a lot of choice but good value, Would defiantly book again

« Small room then asked to leave hotel upon checking out of room, no hotel I've visited has ever done this! »

basic hotel which is over priced. Pool and ground were enjoyed by the children. Dinner was enjoyable on the one night we ate there however drinks were terribly expensive. Was disgusted that we were asked to leave the hotel when checking out of our room, especially as we had sent a fortune in the restaurant the night before.

« Some small problems for one of the first times... »

This hotel is one of my frequent ones. I'm used to it and very most of the time my satisfaction is 100%. Only this time I had a bad experience in the bathroom with an uncomfortable dim light from the mirror which made shaving hazardous....and a shower with low pressure and tricky showerhead..... I'm not used to such things in this hotel and I consider it is due to the "hard times" of a probably busy summer .....

« Late notice and disappointing customer care »

To begin with, I consider Novotel among my best options for a hotel, which I have repeatedly chosen in the past. So, I was quite disappointed by this last experience I had with this specific hotel. On the 13 Aug 2017 I made a reservation though booking.com for the 22 Aug for my family, which is composed of 5 people (2 adults and 3 children 11, 9 and 5 years old). According the hotel's webpage on booking, this hotel offers for up to two children under 16 years to stay free of cost when using existing beds. Based on this information, I selected a room that could accommodate 4 person and made a reservation for 3 people (considering that 2 kids would benefit from the offer and thus the 9 year old would use the 4th bed and the 5 year old would sleep with us on the double bed). To my greatest surprise, on the afternoon of the 21 Aug. and while we were in the middle of packing up for the trip, I received an e-mail from the hotel reception informing me that we couldn't make use of the room that we had booked, as it could only accommodate 4 people in total. As the e-mail didn't provide any solution, I explained my rationale behind the selection of this room and strongly complained about the last minute notice. After that and for the next 4 hours, there was an exchange of e-mails with the hotel's reception about this issue which resulted in the hotel suggesting me either to get a larger room at an additional cost of 50€ or to lose the money of the reservation. Of course, there was no real choice there, so I went with the solution of the larger room and paid the additional cost. This whole unfortunate situation raises the following issues for me: First of all, the time of the notice. The reservation had been made 5 days ago, and the hotel notified me on the issue only hours before the check-in. So, instead of preparing for my trip, I had to spend my evening arguing about the reservation. Not a very professional behaviour from a 4-star hotel. What is more disturbing is that the hotel's reception never acknowledged or commented on the fact that this was a really last minute notice, limiting my options to search for alternatives. What I get from this behaviour is that, while me, as a customer, I am not allowed to make any changes to the reservation, the hotel can freely make claims until the very last moment. Finally, I should feel lucky that there was a larger room available at that time to accommodate us all, each to his own bed of course, and thus we weren't driven to look around for available rooms in other hotels... Secondly, there's the actual issue raised by the hotel, which relates to the meaning of the term "Up to two children under 16 years stay free of charge when using existing beds" which is mentioned on the hotel's webpage on booking.com. From my point of view, this is pretty straightforward. The beds in the room that I had booked were admittedly existing beds, which means that 2 children can stay on them, either to be shared with another person or unoccupied, at no extra cost. The limitation claimed by the hotel about the maximum number of people allowed in the room, as much as I could understand it, it's totally irrelevant, since it's nowhere linked on the site to the offer. What is equally disturbing is the fact that, although the hotel didn't bother to actually check οn the validity of the reservation until the very last day, they didn't agree with my proposal to cancel the reservation, on the basis that it was a non-refundable one. From my point of view, the terms and conditions regarding this reservation were changed by the hotel, be linking the offer to the total number or people, so, common courtesy calls for the hotel to allow me to cancel the reservation. Apparently, they couldn't afford to let me go. Nevertheless, since the reservation was not valid, it should be discarded from the very beginning. For your information, I have also complained to booking.com regarding this issue and they did agree that the description on the hotel's website is (at least) confusing. I would like to highlight the fact that throughout our stay, the attitude of the hotel staff was very polite and professional. I am convinced that this single incident is not representative of the typical customer service provided by Novotel, but still this was a very unfortunate case. I quote here below the e-mails exchanged between myself and the hotel reception on that evening. On 2017-08-21, Novotel Survilliers Saint Witz wrote Dear sir, The room you booked can accommodate only 4 people in total. You can't sleep at 5 in this room. Best regards The reception My reply: Dear Madam/Sir, according to the policy mentioned on your page at booking.com regarding children, Up to two children under 16 years stay free of charge when using existing beds. . Based on this, we've planned for our 5 year old son to sleep with us on the double bed. I don't understand why this is an issue, since it respects the terms mentioned on the website. Anyhow, I'd like to point out that it's really disturbing to get such a last minute notice from your side, when you have already notified for the reservation 5 days ago and the booking is for tomorrow. I would appreciate for a prompt answer since we are starting our trip early tomorrow morning. Kind regards, Lazaros B. However our room can accommodate maximum 4 people (children including). At booking time, you should select a reservation for 2 adults and 3 children and they suggest to book a family suite or 2 rooms. In aim to stay 5 people in the same room, there is an extra cost of 50€ for a family suite, otherwise, you can make a booking for a second room. looking forward to hear from you, Best Regards My reply: Dear Sir/Madam, I'm sorry but that's not what you write on the site. The term "... using existing beds" means that 2 children can stay for free without the addition of any extra beds - and that's exactly my point. What you say now is that 2 children can stay, provided there are free beds available - so I have to reserve a room with enough bed for all. I wonder where's the "Free!" in this rationale, since I have to include them all in the reservation at the first place. What you write on your website is at least misleading. Anyhow, it is most outrageous that you're raising this issue only hours before the date of reservation, when you had 5 days to process it and you're "offering" me a solution that will cost me 50€ or more. Following the above, I don't accept a solution which induces extra cost for me, and if you can't agree with the current reservation or you have any other alternative at no extra cost, I would like you to cancel this reservation free of cost for me. At booking time you have to note the number of adult and the number of children, when you put 2 adults and 3 children, the website suggest to you 2 rooms or 1 family suite. Our stay at the hotel was very good and enjoyable. The limitation of only one device being connected to wifi prevented the rating of extremely satisfied. We had a problem locating the hotel as the address given could not be identified by our satnav system.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel, and we're even fitted into the busy restaurant quite late. The room was very spacious and fitted our family of four without any problems. The breakfast was also very nice and you could have as much as you want.

my stay was terrible I choose the hotel for park astrix and for kids to swim on the pool I ve been in Novotel convention in Roissy very nice and staff so nice but in Novotel survillier the reseptionist said can t swim if there is no adult with them inside the pool and my kids swim around the world I enjoy my drink while they swimming . I travel 6 to 8 time a year . I choose 4/5 star hotel to relax and to be served .in Novotel survilliers they make me feel I m staying in there own home . A men in night shift shout to us it was a nightmare. Really unexpectedly
