The stay at the Hôtel was Ok but the Hôtel made an error on booking while they were fully booked I needed to call CWT helpdesk to manage the situation the day after according a cancellation a room was available No discount ( eve with a cie price) or offer to balance their error

« great lcation for our Christmas vacation »

Great location close to the interstate. great safe free parking. Free wi fi is always appreciated. Will recommend the hotel to others. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast selection was OK. Will go back there next time we go to Europe.

« Bad experience »

Rooms need renovation, quite old. Toilet was leaking so I could not sleep at night because of the noise of water filling every 5 minutes. Bad experience.

« December trip »

I had to come back to France for legal reasons following my father's death in August. I have stayed many times at Novotel Valenciennes and it has become my home away from home in France. Everything always make me feel so welcome when I am here. It is a very nice, clean, hotel and the only place I stay when I am in the Nord, regarding of how miles I need to drive.

Although my stay was a quick 1 night stopover, I had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very polite and welcoming. I ate in the restaurant had a reasonable menu and the food was very tasty. The hotel was easy to find and well placed to keep close to the major roads. Overall, my first stay in a Novotel hotel in France was most enjoyable.

« Appalling »

The television did not work properly,the wash basin water did not run away,the shower was not working, the room was so hot that it was uncomfortable at night and as the hotel is next to a very busy road the window could not be left open. The prepaid meal was a waste of money and it was totally flavourless with very little choice on the menu. All in all this was the worst experiences I have ever had staying in a hotel.

Good food, but menu in english would help. Breakfast could have boiled egg also, I did not ask for it so maybe it was avable. Food really god my best to the chef.

« Convenient location; very good restaurant and service »

We have used this hotel before as a one-night stopover en route back to the UK. It is very well located close by the motorway junction, and has lots of car parking space. The rooms are light and spacious, and the restaurant has a good variety of dishes at reasonable prices. Front desk and restaurant service staff are polite and friendly. The only downside is a lack of shops in walking distance, so it is best to stock up on water etc before checking in.

« A good port in a storm. »

We were greeted by the receptionist. She welcomed us and our dog with a warm sincerity. She was very helpful and even found my husband's loyalty card details as we had forgotten the card. The gardens were tremendous for exercising our dog, secure and full of rabbits! The restaurant was slightly over price for what it was, but service was with a smile and anxious to please. The room as a bit shabby and is in need of a refurbishment, but the bed was very comfortable, the water was hot and the room was quite spacious.

The accessibility is very good, pleased with the gated terrain for safe parking of the car; having a good restaurant is also a bonus, as there are little other options nearby.

The best hotel in the area. Everyone is professional, friendly and accommodating. I have stayed there many times, it is quiet and it seems to me that service gets better all the time It is also so nice to start the day with an excellent breakfast buffet.

It was a quiet room and a nice lounge. The staff was incredibly attentive and making sure that we were ok. What I would like to see differently, the carpet was not the best choice or very clean and the toilet door was damaged.

« Old, tired and worn out with restaurant very poor selection and service »

Check in was fine, room ok but now the hotel is showing its age It is clean but fixtures and fittings are all very old and in 30 degrees of heat- no air con is outdated The main problem was the restaurant Accor group are international hotels and lack of English menu translation is just not acceptable This is not a comment that all the world has to speak English but when you are an international hotel group it is simply not good enough to give the patrons a menu on a wooden board with no translation available The 2 employees serving the food just threw the utensils, food and beer onto the table Service seemed to be too much trouble for both of them I have stayed here many times on business and this time on the way back from vacation with my wife, always had good service It was embarrassing from arrival to departure Sorry will never be back business or pleasure

« Over Priced »

Didn't enjoy stay. Room was supposed to be superior and definitely was not. Paper cup to make a cup of tea what a joke. Asked for a ceramic mug or cup and received another operating cup. Not up to the normal Novotel experience. Lady on desk helpful. Very hard for tourists with big bags to carry up steps not good. Meal in restaurant wasn't very good either.

« Stopover Hotel As expected, great breakfast »

The hotel& grounds felt a little tired but fine for an overnight stop. The man in charge at breakfast was great, really hardworking. Breakfast was all very fresh, loved that you could squeeze own orange juice & there were local cheeses & cake Breakfast was a bit full/crazy when we got there but everything got replenished. Beds comfortable, room walls look dated

Very comfortable room but i didn't likr the dreadful shower curtain, it kept sticking to my body; most unpleasant. The restuarant food choices were a bit limited but the food was passable not outstanding. .
