Old, tired hotel

We believe this hotel doesn't deserve the Novotel label at the moment. The building is old and very tired. The room, although non-smoking, smelled very heavily of old cigarette smoke. The sink and bath did not drain for ages. When we unfolded the sofa bed (for our son) there was dirt on the bedsheets that had clearly fallen through the crack between the sofa cushions. The restaurant only had a couple of the things on the menu - the poor waiter had to come and explain to us that, although the children's menu offered a variety of pasta shapes, all they had was spaghetti. I understand the hotel has its peak season in the hot weather when the pool is in use, so not having some of the fresh food options would have been ok-but pasta??? The breakfast was a sorry experience as well and completely overpriced for what was on offer. We have stayed at and Ibis in Nimes just one evening prior, and the breakfast there (included in the room rate no less!) was truly lovely by comparison. The staff was lovely throughout but to be honest, this stay was the worst Novotel experience we've had since we began staying at Novotels 6 years ago-it needs a good clean out if nothing else.

Great service and clean

We experience great service from the staff and the room was clean. However the bed was a bit too hard for us and the hotel didn't meet our expectations of a 4 stars hotel. Location is outside of the city which also gives the option to park car easily.

we arrived at the Hotel around 10 pm and had dinner and a good nights sleep, the breakfast was plenty to choose from and the staff was attentive and helpful the room we had (330) was a little smelly like it had exhaust fumes from a kitchen or similar other than that the room was comfortable and as expected, bed was very comfortable

This beds in our family room were all very comfortable and we slept well. We were disappointed to have to clear a large ball of hair from the shower before it would drain. The provision of a kettle was appreciated but why paper cups and why only 2 milk cartons?

The room was ok but the hotel seems to be more an 3* hotel. There are a lot of things, which should be changed or cleaned, e.g. the carpets. The restaurant and the whole service in the hotel were good. The total impression didn't fit to an Novotel hotel. Acvor hotels should invest money to bring this hotel to 4* in the reality and not just on the paper. I know better 3* Ibis hotels. The summary is...the hotel is ok for one night but the price is not ok.

Relaxing base to explore the surrounding countryside and the city centre. Easy 10 minute ride on the trams into the centre with all the bars and restaurants you need.

A short stop on our way, with my wife and daughter, we enjoyed the hotel and got the rest we expected !

It was nice from check-in to check-out… Convenient location (not beautiful, for sure) but close to motorway. Hotel would need a refresh for its exteriors, but inside room, lobby and restaurant are ok! Welcome and service was great, more than professional, it was warm and efficient. Rooms are what a family expect from Novotel. Restaurant was a very nice experience food and service !! Would just recommend to improve bathroom shower dangerous in a bathtub and faucet are not easy to use, especially the shower…

I am a regular novotel user. This one is bas de gamme. I could not get the shower to work and the entrecote was .. awful I enjoyed breakfast and found the staff polite

We pick Novotel because they make it easy to travel with children. In this particular occasion the experience was generally good. Good points: the breakfast choice, the sofa beds (2 singles is much better than a double). Points to improve: some parts of the hotel are showing aging (doors, carpets), heating is noisy, had to go down to ask for extra blankets as children’s beds had very thin ones.

The first room the receptionist gave me was smelling smoke very bad. She gave me a second room at the very end of two very long corridors. When I complained to be so far, she said she wanted me to be in a quiet area. Did I say I wanted that?
