Proper beds, nice bathroom and good (but expensive) breakfast. Additionally; parking on site and spacious bar and outside facilities. Close to the highway if t The new ‘no reception desk’ policy needs some work. As do the young staff whos service was mediocre... Breakfast is expensive if you are adults only; for now it was ok because we travelled as a family and the kids get free breakfast

Breakfast ok but please improve allergy training and food segregation. Rooms are now better but bathrooms need action as very dated and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Wi-Fi excellent. Staff are seldom friendly and everything seems to be an inconvenience. No idea why the old reception is closed - the new idea of having a table within the foyer seems out of place. We will stay again for the convenience of location halfway between London and Munich but there are real improvements that could work very well that have been missed.

We enjoyed our stay at this Novotel very much. It’s refreshed design was interesting and our guest room very pleasant. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant but there was no ‘formule’ option in the evening, which was a shame. We would return here again happily despite our one small but very important problem during our stay.

Restaurant service was a bit slow

We had to wait a long time before someone took our order. There were staff around but they seemed to be studiously avoiding making eye contact. The young girl who brought our drinks must have been very new as she left outlet bottle of wine on the table unopened and no cork screw. Another member of staff eventually spotted this and cane to open i. Not sure if the staff were new or just too few staff but we were not the only ones looking round and trying to be served. The food, when it arrived, was very good.

Our room was extremely comfortable with all the addition features that make the stay more so, such as tea making facilities in the room. The night we stayed at the hotel it was holding a special inauguration event to which we were invited. This was a good evening and added an extra dimension to our stay. Breakfast offered everything we wanted and was very well presented and tasted delicious.

Unable to get in main gate without calling at night, noise in the room next door. Confusing reception

Not very good. Reception was confusing, the main gate at night was not operated by the intercom and we had to call via the telephone to be let in after a long wait. The room has a stale smell and on the last ocassion we were unable to sleep due to noise from adjacent room. Breakfast was not very good as the bacon was finished and not replaced and everything is self service unlike years ago. The standard has gone down but the price has gone up !
