Paying procedure takes still long time. Sending bill via Email does not shorten the time. It is important that the company address is correctly displayed. I have the feeling the address must be entered again and again, even it is the 3rd time that I was staying in your hotel.

I was given room 142 which was acceptable except that I quickly noticed that the carpet is in an unpleasant state (i.e. permanently damaged, not repairable - and seemingly this has been the case for a long time). Your colleague at the desk quickly came to give me room 141 which seemed acceptable, so I accepted the change. However I discovered during my stay that in room 141 -1- the window locking arm was not properly attached (very loose screws) so this is a security hazar dfor your guests [not needed but I might have wanted to air the room] -2- the tap shower control button did not work in the morning; I therefore had to get back out of the bath, find an appropriate lever [after several attempts I used a car key], and force it to open properly. This was a very difficult and frustrating operation with damp hands. I informed the reception of the window problem but did not have time when fast-checking out in the morning to talk about the tap. I would like to receive an apology for this situation and I trust that you will do something about these two rooms: stop using them, before the refurbishment gets round to them.

As usual, the place was clean, ran efficiently and made for a lovely stay. The staff equally was professional and always keen to help ... whatever is the question you may ask them. I cannot fault this hotel. Some nice new decoration was done in the lobby which makes it look even better now. Very good stay once more

We always use Novotel and Mercure on our trips and have stayed at the Novotel Rouen Sud a number of times. It’s always been pleasant as standard /expected. This time there were works going on so the reception area was covered in screed. That was fine by us though odd to see the week before Christmas. However because the ground floor corridor was closed off, to reach our room we had to walk up one floor, walk the length of the corridor and take the stairs down again. Easier said than done with a kid, a child, a baby in arms and luggage. The hotel knew our family composition of course so I feel there should have been some thought given to that. We had also asked for a top floor room anyway so we got sent back to the ground floor, our request being ignored. We are sure the works are for the better anyway. Another disappointment this time was to see a number of bugs (counted 4) in the hallway. There is no excuse for bugs inside, in our opinion. There should be top notch pest control systems in a hotel. Otherwise all good as always and the food was fabulous.

The last floor was under construction for the change of carpets. Our staff chose the ground floor so that you would not hear the noise from the works early in the morning. But indeed, we should have left you the choice of your location when you arrived. We are sorry that insects from the adjacent forest have entered our hotel. Despite a rigorous inspection, it escaped our control during the works because all the windows was open to refresh the area so unfortunately it can come in. We are happy to read your satisfaction about our restaurant. Be sure it will be shared with all my team.
