The Novotel Limoges is ideally situated close to the highway but still in a quiet relaxing area. The rooms were (as usual in the novotels) clean and nicely appointed with very comfortable beds for the adults and a decent bed for the kids in the same room. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but enjoyed the complete breakfast with many choices and good coffee. Nice swimming pool with terrace area and bar. Definitely a play to revisit on the way to a south of France destination.

Not up to the usual Novotel standard. We were staying in a cottage but the storm caused us to lose all electricity so I chose this hotel to take us back to civilisation. Whilst it had electricity, it didn't really feel civilised. Beds were hard. Restaurant for breakfast was chaotic. We got there at 9.00am and there was hardly any food (no croissants, hardly any bread). It was very expensive for what was available. Also, the room was more expensive as I had to call as we had hardly any mobile internet signal due to no power in the area.

« Our stay spoiled by poor service and help in the restuarant. Dinner and breakfast very disappointing . »

The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and was very clean and inviting. The person in charge of the restuarant was unhelpful and surly. Dinner was average and breakfast was mediocre both not worth the charge. We have stayed many times in this hotel over the years and sadly this may have been our last visit due to the failings of the restuarant and manager.

A bit disappointed about the location, felt the lakeside position was overplayed, seemed to be a lot of fencing around. Room, dinner and parking were good. We to nearby hyper market for breakfast, too expensive in the hotel.

We have stayed with you several times before on our way to Carcassonne. We like the situation and facilities you offer, but were very disappointed with the evening meal experience - very limited choice and poorly cooked (from frozen?) food. Since having a relaxed and tasty dinner is an important element of our stay, we will not be returning to Le Lac.

« Bad experience »

An incident occured during our stay at the hotel. My wife fell at the entrance of the hotel (outside), because of an electric cable, leaving my wife with broken teeth and multiple bruises. There were no warning sign or notice of any construction at the entrance of the hotel, and the cable was barely noticeable on the floor, putting the security at risk for clients of the hotel in an unacceptable way especially for a 4 stars hotel. Despite the staff of the hotel assured us they were responsible for the incident, no manager ever showed up for offereing any compensation for the injury. We're considering a legal action if no negotiation for compensation is offered by the hotel or the Accord group. Other than that the staff was generally friendly and helpful.

Overall stay was not as good as last year. Welcome wasn't as friendly, room keys didn't work and had to be changed. Only one complimentary bottle of water for 2 guests, why not one each? Breakfast was poor compared to last year. The egg was like reconstituted rubber and the bacon was very slow in being replenished. One young Waitress was particularly sour! We enjoyed our stay here last year, but were unimpressed this time.

We cannot fault anything, evening meal with apero and wine plus our really wonderful breakfast and the room came to a really reasonable sum. I must also mention that on leaving the hotel, we had a problem with our car, so while waiting for the breakdown services, I asked reception if I could charge my phone. Not only did they accept, but I was also offered a lovely cup of coffee. Really nice staff.
