We have visited this hotel for many years and have been satisfied on each occasion. Although the staff were professional on this occasion, the customer service in the Gourmet Bar was efficient, but unfriendly.

Provided a welcome stop on our journey to Cahors. Slight problem with the door cards not working but apart from that it was a very pleasant overnight stay in a well equipped and comfortable room which gave us a good nights sleep. All the staff were very friendly and helpful which greatly contributed to our stay. Overall, a good stay and very reasonably priced for the facilities we had access to.

Arrival and reception ok no problems. Went for dinner asked for 50cl beer given glass too much froth not enough beer. Ordered main course which included a mushroom sauce meal served without sauce. Told waiter who stated didn’t come with sauce until I poured out to him on menu. Then went and got sauce. Retired to room. At approx 4.15an wife woke me strong smell of ammonia chemical in room. Went and reported to reception who returned to room with me agreed and then gave us another bedroom had to re pack and move to other room went to bed at 5am to be up for 7.30am to continue our journey after little sleep. Then as recompense offered to take the price of the 24€ bottle of wine we had for dinner off our bill.

The hotel was lovely overall, the location great and the pool was inviting. We booked an executive room online (€175) and also booked an evening meal (€70) in the restaurant. It was the restaurant that ruined the stay. We went to eat and waited as the staff walked past us and eventually a blonde lady approaceh us and seated us and walked off. There was one menu on the table so we waited for her to come back, she never did so I walked up to an older grey haired waiter and asked in French if he has a menu for a child and he pointed to a table on the other side of the restaurant and walked off. I went and got it and returned to the table so we could order. 5 minutes later the older waiter came over and we were still trying to work out what all the meals were as they were in French. We said we were trying to work out what the dishes were, He offered no help and said I will come back. I have to be careful as i have an allergy to chlorophyll (anything that is green) It swells my throat like a nut allergy and is very dangerous. I looked at the menu and selected what I thought would be the easiest safest option a burger and when he eventually came back we ordered and my wife explained to him in French about the allergy and he said ok. We explained no herbs, salad, nothing physically green. He said ok. When the burger came it had lettuce on the plate all over the bun. We said that I could no eat that as the lettuce was green and that as it had touched the meat, bun and plate I was unable to eat it. I said could you do a new one as it is dangerous. He left the chips on the table and walked off with the plate and came back an minute later with a burger. I asked if it was a new one recooked as it was dangerous and he said yes. I looked at the burger and it looked the same and it seemed to quick to cook another. I opened it up to check inside and under the burger was tomato mixed with green parsley. I decided to go and see the receptionist as she spoke English and French very well. I explained and she went in to the kitchen and spoke to the chef. She said that he was cooking a new one and it would take about 5 mins. That confirmed that the burger he brought out earlier was the same one. Whilst all this was going on my wife and young son were trying to eat their meals. Eventually another burger was brought out but it was cold. I called the receptionist back over and the waiter and the receptionist felt the burger and she said it was cold. The waiter took the plate and brought the same burger (which we had all touched) back a few minutes later burnt on both sides. The waiter was very amused and said bon appetite and smirked and walked off. I went back to reception and spoke to Natalie again and explained what he had done. I said could you tell him that I do not want anything as it is too difficult. She was very apologetic and spoke to the waiter. I was not very happy as my family had finished their meals by this time. We left the restaurant and the receptionist said that she would look at the bill and do something for us. The experience with the waiter was just as disappointing as the attempt to cook a burger. He was just not friendly to us and offered no help when we were trying to understand the menu and he was the one that pointed to the menu for me to go and get. He had also lied about cooking a new burger when the first one had lettuce all over it. I specifically asked him if it was a new one as it is very dangerous for me to eat anything green and he said it was – he had just swapped the plate. Had I have eaten it I would have been seriously ill - The condition can be fatal so I have to be extremely careful. The next morning when we were checking out the morning receptionist said that my meal had been refunded (€25). I asked to see the manager and explained the situation to him in detail. I said that our meal had been ruined. He said it was not good enough and did not understand why the waiter had not given us the English menu that he had in the restaurant. I hope he had a chat with the waiter as he was really not interested in his job but more importantly he could make someone seriously ill if he does not take allergies seriously. The manager decided to refund all the meals as it was ruined. It was a shame - I went to bed hungry that but I was well and alive.

It was reassuring to be greeted by your receptionist. The room was fabulous. The situation of the hotel was satisfactory being close to the motorway junction but conversely some distance out of town. Breakfast selection was perfect. Our only issue was the number of guests meant that the staff struggled to keep the choices available.

Our welcome was efficient but not very warm. The rooms were as hoped for and the lobby and restaurant looked smart. The restaurant had the most limited menu I have ever seen (one beef and one salmon dish) and therefore we chose not to eat there in the evening. Breakfast was ok but elements were a little disappointing. The lady who was on the front desk in the morning was delightful and very happy to help with our requests.

Fantastic hotel & team that delivered first class service from check in to check out. Special mention must go to Xavier who checked us in in record quick time and made us feel really welcome. The room, pool & restaurant was great with a top notch breakfast before we left. Highly recommended!
