Cold water in the shower, cold food, super noisy from 6:00 AM. This is even more disappointing that hotel personnel was very nice.

« An old favourite which continues to please »

We use this hotel as a reliable half way stay when we visit our children in the UK. The welcome is always good, and the presence of our two dogs is taken for granted. The room was as ever clean, and well prepared. The only minor criticism was the limited choice on the table d'hote menu, however this was made up for as usual by the excellent breakfast

« Tired and in need of refurbishment »

We stayed here on our way from the Alps to Calais. First the food: we had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Food was ok but the room is completely devoid of character. The wine list has a few reasonably priced Burgundies by the glass. As for the room, the bed was very comfortable and wifi was fine but the room is incredibly tired and in need of having some money spent on it. Also I would suggest you do not stay in room 157 and rooms close to it on the same side of the corridor: coaches park outside overnight and started their engines up pretty early (and very long before their passengers checked out). As the room was so hot, we had to have the window open and were therefore woken rather earlier than we would have liked. Overall, this place is not bad value but Accor should spend some money on it to bring it up to scratch.

The experience was good although not a huge fan of separate toilet and shower and the fact that both don't lock. The hotel was a bit warm but well run and maintained.

We booked 2 rooms: None had enough towels for the coming visitors. On top, one of the assigned rooms had to be changed because of the bad odours.

« A very good good welcome »

Excellent reception staff checking in/out. Good room, although the new doors are noisy when the shut, wouldn’t be good when the hotel is full. Dinner was good, breakfast was poor. It wasn’t re-stocked, cereals were a poor variety. You don’t do the rustic fruit bread anymore, no eggs to boil. Disappointing. Especially for 15€ each!

Good for an overnight stop on the way back to Calais. Clean and comfortable. Restaurant good - bit pricey but quite busy and better than anywhere else local.

« Badly maintained, nice staff »

Came back to this hotel after staying here in the past. Unfortunately it seems like the rooms are badly maintained. Following the first night we had to move to another room since there were problems with the bath room (been there for 3 nights), then at the new room there were problems with the door...etc. Our room wasn't cleaned following our first night for an unknown reason...! The staff is very nice and the breakfast is quite good relatively. Take into account that the hotel is not very close to the city center (but public transportation is available)

« Bourgogne visit »

Pleasant hotel in a good location to visit the Bourgogne area. Comfortable, basic accommodation with a pleasant restaurant. Good breakfast and although the menu choice was limited, the dishes were tasty with some good daily specials. Easy to find with secure parking. Good value. One negative is the internal sound proofing between adjoining rooms - almost non-existent!

« The room we had in this hotel needs an update ... »

I think we stayed the last time in this hotel; the room still is old fashioned, the bathroom is outdated, the safe can't be used (policy of the hotel: too many issues, we closed all safes in the rooms, so you can use the central safe which is not my preference) and during breakfast the floor of one of the areas in the restaurant was very, very sticky. I saw a lot of people looking to the floor when walking there ... not a clean hygienic feeling ... So. no Novotel Marsannay-la-côte for us till this old hotel gets its update.

« Great hotel shame other guests behaviour was not managed »

Stopped off on route from the south to Calais as we have on many previous occasions. The room is great, better than Marco North, but our sleep was disturbed by adults shorting down the corridor and kids screaming - after 11 pm. Not acceptable.
