hotel is colorful and nice but equipment in the rooms is lower than I am used in other Novotel hotels. The service of tables in the restaurant for dinner is a disaster. They are extremely slow and they do not seem to care. They have a strange distribution of work among waiters resulting in waiters idle for some functions, say clearing tables, and customers frustrated for others, say ordering

It was clean and comfortable, and much needed after a long drive of around 650km. The staff were friendly and efficient, even if the building a little tired with underwhelming decor outside the main reception eating area.

It was clear from the time of arrival that the hotel has been upgraded very recently. Everything was clean, modern, and welcoming. Lovely reception staff. Secure parking. Room with a bath. Technogym gym equipment. Restaurant & bar with digital piano which my sons where allowed to play on - guests and staff were very complimentary! Dinner and breakfast were great and very affordable. Loved the selection of Cotes de Nuits (Marsannay) red wine. Great night sleep, zero disturbances. Merci !

Pleased to see that the hotel had been decorated and the room we stayed in was much improved since we last stayed here. The breakfast buffet area was cramped compared to before though. It was a very busy day but the new layout did not help.

Nice welcome on arrival, clean hotel, nice room, pleasant staff and a good dinner. The hotel is in a good location and easily found. There is a small gym room that we didn't use but noticed others made use of it.

No reception, no lift, no "proper" tea and hardly any sugar or loo roll

I have been staying in Novotels for many years. Admittedly not every frequently, but I have been prepared to pay the premium for a Novotel, over many of its competitors, as it used to be a brand that you could depend on. Not any more! Arriving through the main doors there was absolutely no indication of where to go to pick up a room key. It turned out there is no reception!!! Eventually I found a very helpful girl who had been tucked away in an office, but what ever happened to customer service. Then I asked her where the lift was so that i could get my heavy luggage up to my room, only to be told tht there is no lift !! She offered to help me, but it took 3 trips to get my heavy luggage up the stairs In the middle of that too-ing & fro-ing I couldnt get my room key to work , only to discover that it was because I had put it in my pocket. Well where else would an ordinary person put their room key ( a credit card type thing) when they are having to use both hands to carry luggage up the stairs. No one told me that if you put the key card near your mobile phone it stops the keycard from working! Then once in the room I had to open the window as it was very hot, but there was a building site of a swimming pool and although it was about 10pm there was what sounded like a loud radio coming out of some speakers . I had to go back down to reception again to ask them to turn if off. In addition there was no tea other then a few teabags of herbal tea, there was only 1 sachet of sugar and only 2 almost finished rolls of toilet rolls. Also, the carpet looked and smelled like it had seen better days and could at the very least have done with a proper clean. One other thing that non-French guests might find useful to know is that they have to be careful which sockets they plug things into because several of them are linked to the lights so as soon as you turn the lights off those sockets stop working, so if you were hoping to recharge a phone for example, that wont work when the lights are off, unless you use the correct socket

Staff were great. The hotel was being refurbished so many areas weren't accessable. The room was quite good. The restaurant was quite nice, the beef bourguignon was very good but the chicken was quite dry and not that warm. However at 104 euros we thought it was quite expensive for what it was.

Room and bed were very comfortable especially for the price paid. Shame you only told me about the renovation work the day before I arrived by which time I had committed instead of when I booked. This which altered the feel of the hotel which was a bit of a negative.

Having building works throughout hotel but the staff were excellent as usual and the partial closure of the hotel did not effect our stay. Highly recommend for overnight/ short stay.

Scruffy, mainly a building site, limited facilities, poor restaurant food. Far below usual Novotel standard

Not aware in advance that hotel was under major renovation. Corridors smelt of paint. Restaurant very small area, reduced in size by building boards. Food poor (pomme purée best consumed using a straw!!). Children’s food arrived a long time after adult food. No bar. Breakfast poor range. No bread for toast and toaster unplugged regularly during service as thought to have been tripping electrics and turning the lights out!! Overall not acceptable especially considering this cost more that the stay a week later in Reims Novotel (Tinqueux) which was very good. Cannot recommend.

Hotel and rooms are very old and dated so the current refurbishment is long overdue. Air conditioning in our room did not work and room was uncomfortably hot all night, despite turning the temperature right down. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food at breakfast was ok but nothing special.
