The rooms were lovely as usual but you did not tell us until after we had booked that the restaurant was in fact closed. We were reassured by the indication that we could still eat in the room with room service and had assumed (obviously wrongly) that the same menu as in the restaurant was available for room service. When we arrived and after getting to our rooms we then discovered that the room service menu was extremely limited indeed and in fact consisted only of a small number of pre-prepared dishes which the staff simply microwaved. The quality of the food was very poor and it was very overpriced for its poor quality. It is most unreasonable to charge the same prices as you would have charged if the restaurant had been open when an important element of the stay ie a good restaurant is missing.

First impression fine for Novotel, reception staff all friendly and attentive. Recently in both late summer and now colder months - air conditioning not working so too hot or too cold. New food menu unsatisfactory.

This was a return visit and once again we found the staff courteous and helpful. The restaurant was excellent with good menu choices. The room was clean, well appointed though it would have been good to reduce the heat in the room. Overall, accommodation and service was excellent.

Good food, good service, a good night's sleep. What more can one ask for at a reasonable price. The location is easy to access. Returning to the food element, I stay at numerous Novotels and although the menu is similar. Chartres produces a very good product both for lunch/diner/breakfast. The waiting staff are well trained and polite.

As already advised my wife and I regularly stay with you on our way to/from our house in The Lot. Reception staff always very pleasant and room clean and well appointed. The restaurant is awful. We had to wait an hour to get served on Sunday 23rd Sept. It was even difficult to get a drink whilst we deciding what to eat.The male waiters were surly and quite obviously wanted to be somewhere else. The food when it came was barely edible.

OK. Room was comfortable enough. Disappointed with the reception. The receptionist spent most of her time answering the phone and dealing with callers. She ignored guests standing at reception to book in or be dealt with. Poor customer service.
