« A Great Short Stay »

Arrived late due to problem with Cross Channel Ferry. Phoned to tell reception this and Receptionist said it would be no problem. Room was clean and well presented. Breakfast was one of the best we have eaten. All staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay in the hotel again and would recommend it to family and friends.

Comfy well-appointed room. Great double glazing so a really quiet nights sleep. Tea making facilities and a mini fridge most welcome.

« Good staff, but air conditioning turned off »

Novotel Hotels have been good to us on our extended European adventure with our two golden retrievers. The hotel is dog friendly. Only complaints: despite being advertised as having air conditioning, air was turned off for the season, and there were a couple of hot days, making it difficult to sleep and warm in the room particularly when sun baking in.

We stayed for 2 nights whilst waiting for our car to be repaired. This was one of the few hotels in Caen which had a wheelchair accessible room. The bathroom/wetroom was perfect for my needs as a paraplegic. The room being on the ground floor was an added bonus. The staff on reception were very friendly and welcoming. A copious breakfast choice but at 16euros rather expensive.

« Your front desk people should be able to give change for larger Euros so that guests may tip waiters. Also they should know where the nearest ATM is located since there is no ATM in the hotel. »

Although during the last twelve months the hotel has had a long overdue make over, it is style over substance. Been staying a few times a year at the hotel for more than twenty years. Unfortunately progressively there has been a decline, but it is still an average hotel conveniently located not far from the ferry port. In detail the breakfast are good, sleep quality poor (early morning coach start ups and fumes outside of the bedroom window not great), unfortunately long term road works adjacent to the bedroom location add to the disturbance.Worn out bed, dark and depressing bedroom. Evening meal food quality is poor and nothing like the quality of other Novotels even though working to the same menu, but the service is good.

We meet at this time hard work from the city to refubish the TRAM ligne, which sadly blames the rest of our customers. Actually our hotel is fully renovated and this causes an increase in our group. we are sorry if the reception of these disrupted your last stay. However, we have respect your request since the time we know you. Why not tell us about your stay?. For the meals in restaurant we propose an homemade card and the Novotel menu, in this case we have to respect the process enforce by Accor. we hope to receive you again to regain your trust. « A fantastic hotel, perfect for our stop over. »

When I drove past the hotel I was concerned about what I had booked but I was pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The rooms were functional and clean and the leisure space was extremely stylish. We chose to eat at the restaurant. I was hugely disappointed by my spoilt bavette and was really quite ill that evening and the following day - I know that I should have raised this but looking after two small children at the dinner table, clocking what is on my plate is far down on my list of priorities!! The rest of the party and my children thoroughly enjoyed their meals though.

We stayed here for one night at the start of our holidays (after arriving late from the ferry). We have stayed here several times before and would highly recommend it. The hotel is very good. Location is excellent, not too far and easy to find from the ferry port. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Family bedroom was good. We really enjoy the breakfast here. Such a great choice, my 12 year old daughter says it's the best hotel breakfast she has ever had!

« Very enjoyable stay and extremely good service »

Very pleasant stay. Rooms adequate for overnight stop for family of four. Good children’s facilities including pool and table tennis. Kids area was for younger children (under 5’s) which was the only disappointment as we’ve stayed at Novotel before and other girls had games zone areas for older kids - my fault though for not double checking. Restaurant was very pleasant - good choice of menu and a very substantial breakfast choice.

On our way to Brittany from UK and decided to stop here for 1 night.Food good - decent evening meal & Breakfast. Nice small swimming pool to relax in after the long journey. Ample parking as wellBeds rather firm!!

This was the second term we have stayed at this hotel as an overnight stay. It's in a convenient location. The rooms are good, although the sofa beds could beore comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with a good selection. The pool is a real bonus when travelling with kids. Over all one of the better Novotel we've stayed at.
