We used this hotel as a start and finish for our cycle tour. The staff were very helpful collecting us and our bike luggage from the airport and storing our bike boxes for 5 days until our return the following weekend.

As I had a cold, it is difficult to give a total view. The staff were pleasant but not overly so. The hotel was fairly empty so few staff on duty. The grounds were excellent for sitting outside and walking our dog. Hotel was easy to find, as it was our first visit.

Brief stay on a business trip hotel was convenient for the airport. Room was of a good size and comfortable. Used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was very good and a good selection on the breakfast buffet. One thing that is not very clear hotel operates an airport shuttle located at Gate 5 on arrivals level. You have to call the hotel on arrival to arrange a pick up. Overall experience of this hotel was good I would use this hotel again. The bus to downtown stops outside the hotel.

The stay and the facilities are good the only concern I had was the shuttle service from the airport. I was waiting at the shuttle meeting point around 11 am plus, I tried calling serveral times and no one picked up. And finally someone picked up about 12nn and the shuttle arrives 15mins later. All in all i have waited almost 1 hour at the pick up point. I was rather disappointed with that.

When I arrived in Bordeaux, I called the hotel to find out where to catch the shuttle - the young lady on the phone tried very hard to understand the french I was trying very hard to speak, but was horrendous. She was insistent that I didn't have a reservation. Finally a more fluent english speaker came on the phone and we were able to make ourselves understood and confirmed a reservation did indeed exist. Finally a shuttle was sent to gather me. I arrived at the hotel quite early - was efficiently checked in, and my room was ready. Having flown from north amercia I was exhausted, and needed to spend the afternoon napping. There must've been renovations happening above me, as there was tonnes of banging, and it was hard to rest. The room was fine. The bed was satisfactory. The hotel was defeinitely old, and not a 'business' hotel by North American standards, but it was totally fine. The hotel was nice and quiet in the evening, and the internet was a good speed for streaming. There was continental breakfast offered in the lobby for a fee - I don't recall, but I think it was quite pricey. All in all, a totally acceptable stay.

On arrival the man at reception was very matter of fact. Very long walk down the whole length of hotel to get lift to floor staying on then walk length of hotel again from lift to room. Room tired. No bar staff, working in restaurant. Have to ring bell and wait. Ask for red wine which would you like, then when show voucher told can not have it as not available with free drink voucher. Also told entitled to one glass will have to pay for my wife's. On arrival we asked for 2 room keys. These were provided. On getting to room tried both 1 not work. Told reception they re did it. Tried on room door not work, this happened another 2 times before a lady on reception asked if we had 2 keys. When we confirmed we did she said both had to be amended at once or one will not work. Sure enough problem resolved.

This stay was due to a business trip. The hotel is comfortable but it would be good to know when facilities are available and how long they stay open. The food in the restaurant was below average.
