« Adequate - accommodation with tired facilities and furnishings but excellent customer service »

Your staff were welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Their language skills were very good. The hotel reception was good and the inclusion of a children's area was really great. Our room was clean and comfortable but well worn - the bathroom and toilet room could really do with updating and refitting. The pool and outdoor areas were as advertised but as with the room not in great condition.

« Great stay »

This hotel was set up perfectly for what we needed. The late check out and swimming pool were brilliant. Our only negative is that the hotel didn't answer the phone when we tried to arrange our airport transfer leading to our group having to use two taxis at considerable expense.

« No international electrical adaptors. »

I have never been to a hotel that does not offer for loan international electrical adaptors. I had to go to a shopping mall and search for an electrical adaptor for my CPAP machine (a medical device that I require). Please offer for loan or purchase international electrical adapters.

We had a great time. Loved that the pool was heated. The staff were brilliant, really attentive and kind. Only criticism would be that the main menu did not seem to have many options. It would have been 10/10 otherwise!

Placed at the end of a long corridor with large bags. Floor and carpets were wet which we discovered was due to a leaking shower. No offer of another room just towels to soak it up. No shuttle to the airport got dropped of at the wrong terminal, some front counter advice would have helped. Front counter staff could not explain the benefits of having an ACCOR card.

« Nice hotel, good rooms, great location and friendly staff »

We stayed at the Novotel 11/6 and were very pleased with the hotel and the service so we decided to stay there again 1 night on 22/6 but this time in a Superior room. The superior rooms are definitely a touch better than the normal ones. Our stay would have been even better if we would not have been surrounded by 50 or so Americans who came from a cruise ship and were all over the place in the bar and restaurant. Needless to say that the service at the restaurant this time was not so good although the staff tried their best but forgot about us. I suggest that you should hire some extra staff for the restaurant next time you know that you are expecting a crowd.

We stayed at Novotel Bordeaux Aeroport for one night prior to our return flight to the US. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. We picked the hotel because of its proximity to the airport and were very surprised and pleased to find that the hotel had large and tree-ful grounds. Lunch was excellent and reasonably priced. The weather was beautiful, so we had a relaxing afternoon by the pool.

If we have a morning flight from Bordeaux then we always stay here. It is always a great start to our holiday. The staff are welcoming, rooms comfortable and you eat well in the restaurant.The Nanette only takes 5 minutes to get to the airport terminal.

« Hotel and room very good. Restaurant menu very poor - no gluten-free options »

My wife is acutely celiac and cannot tolerate gluten. There was not a single item on the restaurant menu that was gluten-free, or did not contain a gluten product such as wheat-flour or soy. The chef and restaurant staff we very kind and tried to help, but it is absurd that an international airport hotel does not offer gluten-free food on the menu. Virtually every other major airport hotel in Europe can do this.. .why can't Novotel? It is also customary for leading hotels to have a code in the menu identifying ingredients - such as nuts - that could be harmful to diners... you don't do this either

« A very second class hotel. »

Access to room on the second floor entailed a very long walk to the lift and the receptionist made no effort to explain the whereabouts of the lift which was located in a very unnoticeable location. There was an unpleasant smell in the hotel and a general air of lack of care. The receptionist made very little effort to assist us. The shower in the room had no handle to support oneself while washing. There was one bath towel for two people. There was no shower cap. When we left our room the lift was not working and the cleaning staff had to carry our heavy suitcases down the staircase to the next floor. They were the only staff with a smile on their face! The access to the seating on the navette was very difficult. Altogether a very forgettable experience and it will certainly be back to the Mercure for us!

« comfortable stay overall however this novotel needs updating. »

We stayed here on our return to England from Spain and found the room comfortable but in need of updating. As with many novotels the chain appears old and out of touch. The addition of the Tesla supercharger was the reason we booked. The car charged as we slept. We will stay again for this reason but it would be nice to see Novotel modernise and keep up with the competition.

Very spacious room (was upgraded without asking), good quality linens, amazing Nespresso machines and capsules in room! However, no lift by the reception! You need to walk very very far away at the very end of the building so not acceptable for this hotel range. Also bathroom and toilet doors do not lock.
