I didn't had any issue with the hotel services except when I had to wait 10-15 minutes around 10PM at the parking door. I tried to ring multiple times but nobody answered nor open the door. I was very happy when a car left the parking.

« Hotel needs some TLC and is too remote »

Internal part of the hotel needs updating. Corridors smelt musty and the beds were really uncomfortable. They were basically camp beds. Outside terrace was pleasant.

The room was not clean, th e toilett has some odour. The bedsheet cover for my children has a hole and no pillow were provided also.I will definately not going there again for many reasons including the distance.

The building ambience is not what I expect from Novotel. The smell of the room was so unwelcoming. In addition the breakfast was lacking content and style.

We stayed as a family of four in August 2018 and this was our first stay at this Novotel. We have stayed in many different Novotels before and always end up coming back as everything is on-site that we need and locations are usually good. The Novotel Antibes Sophia Antipolis is quite different to other Novotels we have stayed in and when we first arrived at the hotel we did have mixed feelings about whether we would enjoy it or not. The hotel foyer and bar area is quite gloomy compared to others and the location is more isolated, it did take a few days for it to grow on us. After a few days we really enjoyed the quiet, relaxed feel of the hotel and the breakfast area was lovely overlooking the forest. All staff were pleasant and helpful, especially reception staff who helped us with the best bus routes and transport services as we didn't have a car. The Envibus network is amazing and the bus stop is located at the top of the road about 5 minute walk from the hotel. We used it nearly every day to get to Antibes old town and beach (20 mins) and also the nearby Casino supermarket and bars and restaurants (Templis stop 10 mins) and The Green King is great for food!. It did take a while to find our feet here but we enjoyed every minute of it. The boys loved the pool area, table tennis and tennis courts and even though it was August holidays it was never too busy around the pool. A lovely relaxing stay - thank you Novotel!

« Nice place, good value, but dirty carpets »

Me and my family stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in the beginning of August, 2018 as part of our round trip in Southern France. I liked the price of this hotel (compared the big ones at the beach side and big towns), however you definitely need a car to reach anything from this hotel. I booked this room at this hotel because of the good price, and the big brand Novotel (Accor hotels), which guarantees a quality. Unfortunately the quality here was under my expectations for Novotel. The carpets on the corridors and in the room was very dirty, and actally very stinky. The outside condition of the building was aslo under my expectation for this big hotel brand, but that did not affect our stay. Otherwise my room was clean, just enough space for 3 people, but a bit old school style. There was a big rush and chaotic conditions at breakfast bufet. I think the buffet tables are small, not sufficient for that many guests and to work is badly organized.

Staffs were very polite, friendly and helpful. Love the surrounding of the hotel. My sons wanted to have pizza for dinner but pizza can only be served at 10.30 pm which i found not so good at all.

On the good side I experienced friendly, helpful and well trained staff, the good comfort of a Novotel hotel, nice environment and décor. On the bad side, the fitted carpet in aisle of second floor and in staircase was very dirty. It smelled a mixture of dirt and strong detergent, but the detergent obviously didn't make it. I strongly suggest to replace the carpet. Even a cheap one for 5 Euro per square meter would give a better impression.

« It could easily be so much better. »

During the past 15 years I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. In general, I like the hotel: its location, the swimming pool, the beautiful garden, the parking facilities, and even the breakfast. BUT what I definitely don't like is the run-down appearance of the hotel. The place is in desperate need of a complete refurbishment. The rooms look very tired; especially the carpets are in a horrible condition, defying all sanitary precautions. The need for a total renovation has been there for all to see for at lest 10 years. All this is a pity. As I have said, the basic ingredients for a nice hotel are all there. I just wonder why this is the only Novotel hotel that is never renovated. It is desperately crying out for it.

« Nice and quiet hotel »

We stayed at the hotel with a group of colleagues. We wanted to discuss something and to do this, we had to sit at the lobby. I missed a separate room where you can sit together. After returning from dinner I was just in time to order a glass of wine at the bar, but my colleagues who came about 2 minutes later were unlucky and not able to order anything anymore. Maybe it's an idea to place a vending machine with some wine, beer and soda drinks and some snacks so that it's always possible to get a drink or a snack.

The Good: The stay was OK. The rooms are clean, but felt old and are dark - lighting in the rooms could be improved. The hotel is an older hotel which is in need of some improvements to modernize its rooms and interior. Upon checking-in, I was given a room close to the elevators, I requested to have another room, the front desk agent was quite nice and was able to assign me a room that was away from the elevators. The Bad: Knowing that the hotel had a restaurant, I decided I would have dinner at the hotel restaurant on the first evening of my stay - Sunday, 4th March. I decided to order room service, but was told that there were only 4 things available that evening as there was no chef and the kitchen was closed. This was quite disappointing as it is not easy to get around the Valbonne area without a car to find another restaurant with a hot and enjoyable meal. The 4 things available, none were warm meals that were appealing comparing an extensive menu advertised at the entry of the restaurant. If I had known at check-in this would be the case, I would have eaten elsewhere before returning to the hotel and would not have planned to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. For breakfast, a small suggestion would be to for the eggs to already have been boiled and ready for guests to eat rather than having each guest boil his/her own egg - which takes a long time especially when needing to leave early. Overall: Overall, having good wifi, a room to sleep and shower, and a decent breakfast made the stay OK, not my favourite property, but it was reasonable and acceptable.
