The room was dirty, we wanted to change rooms but the receptionist said they were all the same. Some staff were surly and unhelpful. I had also complsinex to accor sbout lack of advantage of belonging to club accor but have had no reply

A shabby and poorly maintained hotel. Dis functional and unsafe shower, rooms not made up by 1500 hrs without a fuss all days, malfunctioning key cards ,locked out of room on 8 separate occasions, mild amusement for staff. Bar not staffed, to get a drink you had to play "find the Barman" this could take up to 10min. Room when made up continually set up for one person. On two occasions I had to do battle with House keeping to get towels, coffee and milk. On the positive side this 4 star??? Hotel has an outstanding Car Park!

Please note that I have already filled this survey. Is this another stuff-up from this property ? I had stated that this is the worst Accor property we have ever stayed at, and this is a Novotel. Even Ibis budget have been more accommodating. Please do not send me another message about this property as even it's name makes us uncomfortable.

Pretty good. We had two rooms and one had some carpet stains. However the rooms were large and comfortable and clean. The Breakfast had plenty of choices and was more than adequate. Only needed the Reception desk to check in and check out, but found the staff pleasant and multi lingual. Enormous car park with plenty of space and free,

The room was shoddy alround, the carpet was all stained and dirty, the air con did not work properly and the evening was very hot because of this and we could not sleep. The bathroom was also the same, the bath was stained and not clean, the shower head would not stay in place to have a shower and we had to use a toothbrush to wedge it in place

Kids love the pool, the food is good and the service is friendly. Toilets could use some attention to the decor and the plastic key cards are a little unreliable, but the smile of the lady on the desk made up for it.

We needed a 'better than basic' hotel within a couple of hours from Calais so that the long journey from Italy could be broken before the tunnel crossing. Having stayed several times at Novotel in Lyon and had an excellent stay with our dogs we were expecting a similar experience at Amiens. Disappointingly, Novotel Amiens is long overdue for refurbishment both inside and out. I told the reception of our 2 small dogs and was advised of the 11 euro cost per animal. (Lyon have never enforced the charge). On entering our room, it was apparent that either cleaning is not their strong point or were deliberately given a substandard room. The dogs were obsessed with the carpet odours! We were upset by the lack of cleanliness of toilet, bathroom and bedsheet (hairs aplenty). Staff moved us without quibble and the second room was perfectly acceptable. Staff were always friendly, if lacking in English (sorry but my language skills only stretch to Italian). After 600 miles at the wheel, I am not able nor do I have the energy to try and speak good French and I think it unreasonable for staff to expect it. The restaurant food was acceptable, breakfast also though the scrambled egg was stone cold. Overall, a real shame that our Novotel experience has been tainted. I hope things change quickly at Amiens as choice is limited.

« Old dated hotel ... totally not what a four stars should look like »

We were very disapointed. Everything was cheap and old. Very dirty carpet because the carpet let see 30 years of hotel life. The matras of the bench was very uncorfatable.. and small even for kids.. We didn t sleep at all!! Fortunately the breakfast was good.

Unfortunately, I have to describe this Novotel as categorically being the worst that I have ever stayed in and one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. (I stay in city hotels approx. 20 nights per year). The building and its fitting are in a very shabby and dilapidated state. Although booking a year in advance and it being clear that we were a couple, we were only given 1 towel and it was hard to get a second. The key cards for room entry were so unreliable that they were a joke. We had to get re-programmed several times. We had breakfast on the Tuesday morning and it was dreadful.

Nice, friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. There is a good restaurant serving lovely food. Rooms have not had an update for sometime and bathroom areas, in particular,though clean could use an update.

« Filthy carpets..disgraceful!! »

Having stayed at many Accor hotels the state of the carpet was nothing short of disgraceful. It amazes me that a services manager would not be aware of the state of the carpet. I have never ever experienced such a filthy stained carpet in my life in any country. If it had not been for the rederie of Amiens taking place and the fact that myself and my friend were extremely tired after a long journey .. her carpet was no better..I would have sought alternative accommodation. I have taken photos and will be pleased to send them! I did have occasion to ring down to the front desk and complain about a group of young lads who were running up and down the second floor banging on doors not once but twice the same evening. I am not one to complain but My friend was woken up also and she was shocked as she thought there was an emergency situation happening!! I have already sent a feedback regarding this issue and have had no reply to date. Disgraceful dirty stained carpets even for a 50 Euro room let alone two rooms which cost over 200 Euro’s. Overall our stay was a pleasant experience. Service very good. Breakfast excellent. However our toilet, in room 165, was very shabby and in need of maintenance and redecoration. Also outside areas around the swimming pool are an eyesore from the very pleasant dining room - broken paving etc. However these are minor problems will not put us off returning again!

When I arrived it was already late around 9 pm and I kinda expect some help with the luggage, because my kids and my wife is tired from a long travel..but I have to bring my luggage myself to the room. The bathroom was not clean at all and the room smell very bad when I entered...I had to open the window myself...I had always great experience with novotel, but this one is really out of standaard...
