« Clean accommodation with lovely staff but awful food »

Staff were great, Attentive friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean and comfortable although for me the bed was too firm and as a consequence I didn’t get a great nights sleep. However the thing that let my stay down was the the food. I was going to have breakfast on the day of departure but the evening meal I had the night before was so bad that I decided against it. I ordered a medium entrecôte which was over cooked to the extent it was past well done and was so sinuey and fatty that I had about a third of the steak that was inedible. The fries that came with it were also over cooked and dry. The half bottle of wine I ordered was corked as was the replacement botte so I had to change my wine order.

Toutefois j'ai bien noté votre bémol concernant le rafraîchissement de certains de nos équipements qui serait effectivement à prévoir. Notre réelle problématique n’est pas directement liée à la propreté de nos espaces mais à l’ancienneté de certains équipements. Reception staff are absolutely Devine but unfortunelty this was the only thing we really enjoyed about your hotel on this occasion. The rooms are extremely outdated, not cleaned properly, there was a lot of dust that has gathered on the ceiling due to the surface of the ceiling being bumpy. The furniture is really old, the bed isn’t even a proper bed, our feet were raised higher than our head and it had a huge slant into the center of the bed. You air conditioner didn’t work so we had to sleep with the window open and being so close to the highway meant for a awful night trying to sleep with noise. The toilet is very old and the bathroom also with outdated accessory’s and faucets. The shower however has great water pressure and it was nice to have a bath. We think the rooms need a little bit of maintenance and updating.

Hotel on the outside needs work, the property looks old on the outside. Needs new paint and some fix on wood trimmings. The lobby and bar/restaurant areas are newly remodeled and nice. But the rooms need some renovations. The room's carpet needs update and toilet was not stable. Also, the shower was hard to get into and not much head room.

« Hotel is in need of major refurbshment and in the short term a cleaning .its a discrace to the brand »

I have stayed at this hotel many times previously and found it ok. This visit I was greeted with the dirtiest and foul smelling room and corridors I have ever experienced .on leaving the lift the smell and soiled carpets are nauseating . This is not a good example of what I have come to expect from Novotel . Also I found the price to be totally out of line with the quality of the hotel . This hotel is damaging your brand.

« Acceptable for 1 night, but need some refurbishment »

Nice personnel, great location but the hotel and some commodities need a refurbishment. The mattress for the big bed was awful and the state of the supplementary beds was very poor, and this happened also last year in the same hotel, so any improvement has been done. Also the price in the bar is abusive. With prices more reasonable you could have more customers interested. Positive things: staff and the change of TVs in the rooms.

Staff were lovely and food was very good but the hotel desperately needs an overhaul and please stop letting people smoke everywhere! The whole hotel stinks! Carpets were filthy too.
