« Surprise- a restful getaway off the freeway! »

Fantastic common spaces, a beautiful garden and breakfast area. It was a great surprise. We were expecting a standard hotel off the freeway and it ended up being a very pleasant evening and morning of relaxation. The staff were excellent. Also, if you have an electric car, they have a Tesla charging station in the back. It is great!

On reservation it was to be two beds, that did not happen. It was a Queen plus two slat beds( which were quite uncomfortable) . Fine for children but not for an adult. The carpet was deplorable! Mold in bathroom was deplorable. Both should be unacceptable to you! The grounds were beautiful and well kept! Hotel needs steam cleaning on the outside Your staff- Florian - Claire(2) were absolutely WONDERFUL ! These three employees are the only reason I gave your hotel a four. Without them I’d give your hotel a zero. That mold and carpet are disgusting. I am recommending to Expedia travel consultant to drop your hotel from their list

As usual, using the premises for over 15 years, the experience was great, including the restaurant, garden and pool, but the building fabric and rooms are in need of upgrading to maintain their previous high standard.

I regularly stay at this hotel anytime I'm in Aix. I noticed a significant change in the quality of the restaurant, both in terms of possible selection offered by the menu but especially in terms of quality of the service that was much below the previous standard I was used to during in all my previous stays (very long waiting time for food despite not so many customers in the restaurant) and of the food (tasteless food and even cold inside (potato purea was cold and looking like simple squeezed potatoes).

Sorry to say but not very positive: The smell in the room but also hallway was terrible. The smell alone literally kept my wife and I awake till 3AM at which point we decided to leave the next day to some place else. The “feeling” of the whole hotel was just old and dirty. Stained carpets, smelly rooms, smelly (different) hallways, a bit sticky sheets, the woodwork outside at the entrance also clearly showing its age (of course at some point beyond a treshold you just start to notice only negatives). Long story short: we left two nights early after 1 night. And I cant remember doing that ever before and we really travel a lot. The hotel could really use a renovation. On the plus side: staff was very polite, friendly and helpful throughout. Offered a free round of drinks when checkin was delayed by 20 mins, helped get the luggage up to the 1st floor, etc. Also excellent service that we were refunded the two nights we left early.

Mixed. Common areas were fine, rennovated, modern. But the hallways to the rooms and the room itself was not so "pleasant." Carpetings needs to be replaced and rooms need to be rennovated.

Other than the hotel being a little “dated” (carpet should probably be cleaned/replaced), the overall experience was satisfactory. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good.

We spent a very Pleasant night at the hotel. We thought the divided pillow arrangement was ingenious. You could decide whether you wanted a soft or harder pillow based on which side you chose. We also ordered the most beautifully presented cheese tray we have ever seen, which was also delicious.

« Lovely staff but disappointed with dishes missing from menu »

The staff were fantastic, but I ate dinner at the hotel three times and the pasta had ran out each time and was replaced with spaghetti. I ordered room service once and was told nothing on the menu was available besides a charcuterie and another dish not listed. I ended up not ordering anything which was frustrating as it is a long walk to town

The hotel has all the facilities expected: free parking, no noise in the room, comfortable, nice restaurant. Only minor point: breakfast buffet was sufficient but I was expecting more healthy food (little fresh fruit)

This hotel is not walking distance to town, but a short car ride away. The beds were decent and the breakfast had a very good variety and quality. Good value for the money.
