Very comfortable and friendly staff. Room a tiny bit small for 4 people and a dog. Check your email invoice as we were originally charged for breakfasts we didn't have. Great value.

Room was clean, service provided with a free bottle of water appreciated, however I could not sleep at all because of all the neighbors room closing and opening their doors all night long.

« The worst Novotel I have stayed at »

Food was awful worst meal I have ever had, room I was given a disabled room and outside the room was exposed pipework, wiring and covered carpets due to construction work taking place. Staff at the restaurant were minimum and could not cope. Reception staff though very helpful.

« Satisfied overall but some inconveniences »

Was overall satisfied with my stay. Room was comfortable and quiet, employees devoted and friendly and the breakfast very good (did not have lunch or dinner). Access to my room was however not satisfactory. I arrived at mid-day and was given a room on the first floor. I then discovered the first floor corridor was being renovated and could not be walked down. Instead I had to take the stairs up to second floor, walk down the corridor, take the stairs down to first floor and access my room. Problem is the stairs to first floor were taking me in the middle of the renovation work, which was my very first experience of the hotel. When I walked the corridor on second floor I noticed the carpet was not clean with a lot of stains all along. So in summary my stay was satisfactory but if I consider the fairly high price of the room and the fact that carpets are not clean and you are obliged to walk through a construction site to access your room, it motivated my 7/10 grading (hesitated with 6/10 actually).

« Very pleasant stay »

Got the basics right: extremely good bed, shower, WiFi and food. And the rest is consistently very well too. Enjoyed a nice unsophisticated dinner at a local restaurant at walking distance. Also liked the breakfast box to take away as I had to take an early flight via RER.

The Conference facilities were mostly good except that the projector did strange things to start with. The food was OK for carnivores, less good for vegetarians and rather lacking for vegans.

« Rooms were good. Service and catering for allergy sufferers was very poor, would never stay again! »

I was here on business with MBDA for a working week training. The rooms were good and facilities also clean and tidy. I suffer from a number of food allergies and hence require special consideration regarding catering. Since we were training here there was little opportunity to eat anywhere else. The restaurant during breakfast, lunch and dinner was terrible for me and I have forwarded my experiences with my company. I was often forgotten about, despite mentioning this prior to our visit, also to reception staff and multiple waiters and waitresses. My food was always late compared with my colleagues, they were often beginning there dessert course before I received my main. The Wednesday night when we were hosting our directors, I was served the same dish as everyone else and so was unable to eat some of my food! On the Thursday lunch I was served my 'allergy dish' which was pasta and green beans but I cannot eat wheat, I complained and was given a dish of green beans, chips and last nights leftover vegetables. Overall my experience was terrible and organisers at my company noticed the slip in overall care compared with other years.

« Fine, but ineffective heating »

The hotel is very clean and well-located for those who need to access the technological domain in Saclay. The restaurant is good, with an interesting offer (which on the other hand could be more mixed, as now it is typically French, which will not meet everyone's tastes) and they serve really high quality food, the staff is friendly, but not everyone speaks English. My only issue, which was quite an important point, was the heating. When it was -2 degC outside, with the air conditioning set to "max" it was really cold in my room (according to my phone termometer around 16 degC, which is not comfortable at all).

« Quiet room, Helpful staff, Only 2 power outlets in the entire room! »

With my reservation, I asked for a quiet room away from street noise. On arrival I was warned that a large group was on the 2nd floor, but assured that I had a room on the 3rd floor that was away from the group. The room was indeed very quiet and quite comfortable (Recently remodelled). However on arrival, I found that that access panel for the heating system was removed. The room was very cold. I ran the heat for 15 minutes, to no effect - only cold air. After verifying the controls, I contacted the front desk. They informed me that the only other room available was next to a large chinese tour group on the 2nd floor. When I declined, they offered an electric space heater. I accepted this was promptly brought to the room. UNfortunately, there was no where to plug it in!! The only available power was next to bed by the wall and would require placing the heater in a tight space in contact with the bedding!. FInally, I removed the minibar, and found access to the power plug for the water kettle. While I was at dinner the manager came to apologise. He explained that a technician had attempted to correct the problem, but lacked the necessary part. He offered again to change rooms. I prefer quiet and cold to noisy and hot. At breakfast, at 7h30, the chinese group was in the restaurant and ALL the tables were occupied or dirty. I found an empty used table, bussed the dirty dishes, and set it myself. Aside from this - my stay was comfortable. Jim

« A very bad experience. »

The overall experience was terrible. The food was low quality and the service was terrible. Every morning I had to request cutlery and dishes at breakfast- there were no small spoons for coffee, no small cups for coffee, no clean bowls for cereal and at one stage they ran out of Baguettes. When I asked the staff for Baguettes, they came back, about 3 minutes later, with a small piece from somewhere. Overall the service was poor and the food was below average. One of the dishes which had vegetables, the vegetables were cold. Another time, I ordered a chicken club sandwich. I asked if the chicken is freshly grilled and the waiter confirmed that it was. When I got the sandwich (15 minutes later), the chicken was not freshly grilled and was half cold/half warm. The facilities were reasonable.

The hotel was good. Breakfast had the basics. The exercise room was minimal. The outside activities were closed for the season. The room was clean. Entering and exiting the parking area was okay. The staff was courteous, but did not engage very much. The guest book seemed out of date.

« terrible front desk staf »

I asked for a recommendation for dinner outside - the front desk person said your hotel restaurant. I said my colleague and I wanted to go outside and try something in the area so she suggested one. They were closed so I asked her to phone one I found online- she asked me why I didn't want to do it myself. And the conversation proceeded like that - with us not ending up finding a restaurant to have lunch at. I also worked in your bar for 2 days in a row - your bar staff asked me if I wanted to order something one time over the course of 10 hours at the bar. We had to ask for breakfast food to be replenished, many of the dishes for use at the buffet were dirty. Overall a very bad experience.
