« Nice stay in basic and clean business hotel »

I was satisfied with the stay in Novotel Saclay. The hotel is not new but it is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My room is quiet and the internet works well without extra hassle. The bed is not very comfortable: it is too soft and I understand that the mechanism under the bed is very convenient for the housekeeping but it makes the bed squeaky. So I'm lucky to sleep alone so the squeaky noses do not disturb other person's sleep.

The hotel is clean, service is great. Had the chance to come with our dog, he was more than welcome Unfortunatly the restaurant was closed due to xmas break, was disappointing.

« Smell all over the hotel, ignoring all communication »

Hello the smell on the groundfloor was unbelievable. Even in the rooms but much more in the general area of the hotel. One week before the stay we submitted my Gold-status number and even got confirmation of the reservation team that it what registered. At checkin in, no card registered - no reaction of the team. Number was noted on a paper and they will take care of it. No upgrade, no welcome drink, nothing. At checkin out, no card registered. Again noted on a paper. I explicitely asked if this will be eventually registered somewhere because the first paper obviously disappeared somewhere. Up to now, no points registered. Worst accorhotel experience, ever. We found it hard to believe that a so called 4 star hotel was unable to offer anything more than bar snacks in the way of dinner, over a weekend. And the snacks were very limited, of poor quality and over priced. The nearest restaurant is essentially a pizza parlour and that is a very long walk away.

The Novotel Paris Saclay is my preferred choice when staying in Velizy due to the normally quiet conditions. However, on this occasion it was spoilt on two nights by very noisy guests who had no regard for others.
