« Nice château and surroundings but disappointing experience »

Château and surrounding are nice and very comfortable bed. However wellness area is in fact only a pool and a sauna. Amenities are quite dated...Also the rooms and breakfast area are outside the Chateau in another building. This is a bit deceiving. Finally we asked the staff what we could do in the area and there were not helpful at all. Oui All in all I think the four stars of this hotel is overrated. It does not offer the prestations of a four stars.

« pleasant as per usual . »

Good service on average . As per usual a few technical problems...no lights in the parking and walking area of the hotel over 3 days ( Christmas ) , the in house technicien was not available... surely you could have an outsourced technicien . What if someone had fallen and injured himself in the dark ??? The television , many chanels were not working again over 3 days ( may be more ...we left it had not been restaured ) the picture was completely deformed. At the reception the staffs are doing their job ... but no particular attention except for the manager .

« Not what we expected »

We made reservation for a room for three adults, one child, but the beds were not suitable for the four of us: a lits-jumeaux and a sofa, with hardly any space to move around. We asked the lady at the reception to provide a room for the four of us (as reserved for), but she said that we had made a reservation for two adults and two children (which was not the case), then said that the room was for four persons (which was not the case). We had to pay another € 63 to get another room (which was ot necessary; we just wanted a room suitable for the four of us). We would like e restitution of these € 63 at I. & Van de Wiel, IBAN: NL87 ASNB 07… 36. If necessary we can send pictures of the bed and the sofa in the room.

« Bad smell in room and lack of coffee. »

My room smelt of smoke and the corridor smelt of human waste when I opened my room door to leave. Not enough coffee or milk in the room.

« Food in restaurant not good. »

The dinner in the Chateau restaurant was not good. I had the the Shishmi salmon dish that was supposed to have ginger and corriander and truffle oil and instead of corridander it had spearmint and no ginger. VERY disappointing. Also I would prefer that the mini bar is filled with items that I can choose from rather than having to go downstairs after a long day.

Very unpleasant breakfast room. When arriving in our room very unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke in the room. Good service at reception to change to another room. At the 3rd day our room was not cleaned when arriving in the room at 19 o’clock! Was solved after a call to the reception. Coffee facility in the room very appreciated

« Pleasant and quiet stay »

Very calm and quiet place with beautiful surroundings and nature. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was sufficient (no fresh croissants, although staying in France!). We loved the swimming pool (although we didn't find it in the first place and we read that it was an outside pool).
