« Satisfied but can be improved »

I like very much the breakfast @ MERCURE. this is a very good point. However, this is the second time that I remark it smells really not good in the rooms corridor and especially in the room where is smells not good at all in the bathroom. there are pipe odors or odors of evacuations. the rest is perfect. but it highly impact the overall experience in MERCURE.

Upon checking in, found that my room was smelling perhaps from a burst toilet pipe somewhere. Called reception and was told they're sending someone up... After waiting awhile, I decided to checkout of the room and went to Reception myself. I was told they forgot I called. They checked me into another room but for the amount paid, I still couldn't place the value for money.

The stay was overall satisfying. The positives are: -Helpful reception staff -Good access to inner part of Paris, without having the room cost of inner part hotels -Very good cleaning of the rooms, cleaning staff went out of its way to help us on one day, did not expect that -Large rooms with good bathrooms Neutral: -Heating was working, but slow -The entrance floor was in an appropiate condition Negatives: -No shower in the bathroom, tub was inconvenient -Much of the furniture in the room had at medium to strong signs of use -The overall condition of the room floors was below average, renovation would improve the feel

Good rooms. Some good staff. Good breakfast but needed an omelette station and room service should keep 2 bottles of complimentary water for guests rather than 1 (for 2 guests). All in one product for body and hair in bathroom was just not what I would expect in Mercure. Good bed, good heating system, decent sized room. Definitely recommend for anyone to stay, just bring your own shampoo&conditioner.

It was a nice hotel but it's not simple to give an opinion for some reasons. The first day we had a nice guy at the accueil , the other days they were just regular. Each time to enter to the hotel we were invited to ring a bell and sometimes we had to wait to enter because they were busy to open. At the room we had a noise that came from the room up to ours. We don't know it it was problem with something or just the person in the other room. We had a bad smell coming from the bathroom time to time and the heaters dry to much the air at the room. The breakfast was nice enough, that's why we choose Mercure each time in Paris and that was ok. The location is regular too, the place was calm enough. I think they should renovate the hotel in many ways, i think they started doing that at the restaurant, but they should continue with the room that look a bit old.

As soon as I entered the hotel I notice the hotel was badly smelling. The service at bar was quite poor, I asked for something to eat and I got an horrible cesar salad. Only plus was the breakfast that was actually above average, with fresh fruit juice.

« Basic night at a business hotel »

Maybe it is just not used to Paris prices but for the cost per night I would expect a nice hotel and better facilities. This hotel is okay but everything seems quite old, the rooms are stuffy, the corridors dark. Next time I will try to Ibis next door which is probably a better price and looks more recent (at least from outside).

Its an expensive hotel with no air conditioning but only hot air blowing. Far too hot and too noisy to open windows. Its old and requires renovation.

I requested some slippers for my room but was told by Reception that they are not provided. I was very disappointed and know the information provided was wrong, as I have stayed in numerous Mercure hotels and have always been given both a bathrobe and slippers on request.

« Our Suite room is beside the lift and noisy with the lift! »

At our stay in a suite room with our kids we are not satisfied. The bed for the kids are so old fashion so that even the kids(weight around 30 kg) feels the feather of the spring mattresses. Very uncomfortable said my son and daughter. Then the lift is just beside the suite room we applied for. At 6.00 AM the noise started! You can hear the noise of the lift door and when it went up and down. We were totally disappointed with the room facilities according to the price we paid! Location is so far safe. with 2 bouncer at the hotel reception we felt safe. This is a plus!
