« A little disappointing but reception staff were lovely. »

We had two rooms and our room used the pull out sofa for our daughter. Unfortunately at one point the mattress on the sofa bed slipped to the side and the state of the floor underneath was pretty horrific with nail clippings, dust and hair/hairclips. We had a few other small niggles like the shower head being on a static holder which was very low. I'm only 5 foot 4 and i had to take it out and hold it to shower myself. My husband is 6 foot and hurt his back trying to shower. The adjustable holder had clearly broken at some point but hadn't been fixed and the lowest point was used as the holder which seemed ridiculous. Other small issues were the teacups which were paper. Having stayed in numerous Accor hotels around the world, we were very surprised at this as there is a big focus on reducing paper cup waste and we've never experienced this before. We would have much preferred a porcelain mug as we didn't feel we could reuse a paper cup for second cups of tea/coffee (not that it was particularly well stocked!). The final concern was the breakfast which was a bit miserly. We have previously stayed in the Ibis next door and found there to be just as much selection and therefore felt the extra €9 per person to be unjustified. Saying all that, the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly. It is well situated and the rooms are a decent size.

« Not up to the standard that was expected »

Monday we awoke to no electricity. We were told there would be sporadic electricity from 7am to 6pm throughout the day due to maintenance, the staff seemed very amused when we inquired about the situation and inconvenience. We had not been informed of this when we booked in on the Saturday. Huge bed which was great but two tiny pillows!!!! Very slow service at the bar, only one staff member on duty who was working extremely hard with lots of customers waiting (some even gave up and went elsewhere). Very poor management of staff.

« The service that we got in our final evening and morning was inadequate »

We would have been satisfied with our stay, but the final evening and and final morning basically ruined our trip. We found out in our last evening that we were supposed to leave really early. We had paid for the breakfast for every morning and in the evening we went to ask about early metros and trains and the possibility to get something for breakfast. The lady at the reception was first of all quite rude and gave false information about the metro timetables and said that there was no chance of getting any breakfast in the morning. This we asked for several times since in high quality hotels there usually is the possibility to get something if you leave early. Next morning we found out that there would have been a possibility to get some kind of take away -breakfast, but even though we asked we couldn't have it. We think that the situation was really badly handled, no apologies and no attempt to try to fix the situation.

« It was OK »

The room was nice and clean. The view as we expected. Breakfast was worth every cent we paid. We didn't like only one thing - didn't expect we need to pay deposit. It was OK though because we decided to have breakfast in the hotel. We didn't spend all 100 euros and I still didn't get a refund.

It was great, booked 3 rooms with friends and it was comfortable. Only thing was there was no toothpaste. And the walls are not that sound proof. But overall it was great.

I had an issue with the nespresso machine. I warned the front desk but it was not solved for my second night. Besides that issue, I had a good stay.

« Has everything you need and in a great location »

The hotel was clean, rooms were nice and pretty spacious. Common areas were bright and nicely decorated. Staff was helpful. Good gym facility. Overall had everything we were looking for in a dependable hotel. Great location near multiple subway lines. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby.

« Wonderful with a few hiccups »

Daniel and Andy from the front desk were great! Andy was kind enough to give us an room upgrade which made our honeymoon stay that much more enjoyable. Thank you soo much Andy. The lady that greeted us from tuesday to friday at breakfast was very kind and helpful also (didnt catch her name) There were some delays and confusion during check out. We were quoted 800 euros as a final checkout fee by the lady (she didnt realise we pre-purchased our breakfast), after a call through to Daniel this was eventually sorted out. Overall our family loved our stay at your hotel and we would come back again. Thanks, M. Family

« Great hotel - Top location »

This is a lovely hotel in a good location for the surrounding area as well as being close to two metros stations for central Paris. The room upgrade was certainly worth the extra euros, super views and a good size. The free soft drinks was a nice touch. Bath robes excellent, it is a pity that the quality of towels did not match this. The staff were always helpful, especially at check out and on arrival.

Overall the stay was good, quite a large number of guests tried to have breakfast bar at same time and the food manager put some guests in another hall, great idea. The lady who freshened our room daily was superb. I can’t remember her name but Marcel seemed to be in her name. Thank you.

« Really goid just a couple of small points »

The hotel staff are always amazing at this hotel, breakfast is always good. Our room on this stay was in need of a little attention the carpet was stained and the pillows were very uncomfortable. There was only a bottle of all purpose shower gel which is not great for hair washing. Some separate shampoo would have been useful. We have stayed before and did not have these issues. This won’t stop us staying again as we live the hotel overall.

« Lovely stay but with a few problems »

The hotel and location was great. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Our only complaint was the shower. There was no full coverage/door and a gap between the seal and small little door that was there so a large puddle would be on the floor once we were done showering. You could tell we weren’t the only guests that had this problem because you could see mold starting to form between the wall and tub. The wi-fi was spotty at best and the climate controls didn’t seem to work either.

The hotel was further out than we would have liked and the beds way too hard for a restful sleep, room small but modern and clean. Would stay at another Mercur in a closer district. The bus though was very convenient.

The hotel is in a convenient area where there are buses and metros to take you everywhere in Paris. The hotel is clean and functioning, the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The check in and check out processes are very easy. I have stayed here many times in the past and will again when I'm next in Paris.

« A little basic but good customer service. »

As a loyal Mercure customer I was disappointed with the standard of the rooms in Mercure Montmartre. Our room was well used and the carpet was stained and I don't think it was hoovered during our stay. Tiny paper cups for hot drinks were dangerous and inappropriate. The safe in our room was broken but the housekeeping and maintenance were on hand to help in an instant. The staff were excellent and friendly but our bedroom was disappointing, especially as we had a family room for three nights so I would have expected a better standard unfortunately.
