Average hotel in the city center. Good rooms and garage. Unfortunaterly no Christmas feeling in the restaurant on Christmas Day. No "postcardservice" in the reception. Very unpersonal. Nice pool-area.

« Good hotel, good location, but some details to be improved. »

Hotel is very well located, has a good parking and can be considered in very good condition. Staff is not very friendly and seems to be making a big effort to solve simple issues, almost looking as if they were doing a favor. The only exception is Augusto, the man in reception, very friendly and always willing to help. I asked for a late check out (only 2 hours later) and the staff made me feel as if I was asking for a big favor, although the hotel seemd to be quite calm and not fully booked. I asked to use rewards points to pay part of my account and it was denied, claiming that the supervisor had already left and only he could do it.

Excellent. Would be nice if car parking was included in Price and if better directions to car park were provided on website. Also an access PIN for a wifi internet radio would be useful as the radio cannot access a website.

The hotel is in need of renovation. The hotel didn't seem to be full, however the view through our window looked back into the inner building. Not what I expect for a frequent traveler. The restaurant/bar was not open, so coffee in the morning was had via vending machine. We were given two single beds despite clarification from the front desk that our preference was a double.

« Not up to the Mercure standard we are used to »

Seemed short staffed. Not overly welcoming. The bar was shut so we were referred to the Novotel next door. Didn't understand the relationship with Prestige Hotels. Room did not seem very Superior and had no tea / coffee facilities. We're woken at around 3.30am by a noise from a vent in the room. The a/c was off. We rang down to the front desk but a solution was not found. It was suggested we move to a room on the other side of the hotel which we were not prepared to do at 4am.

On arrival at the hotel, as platinum members we expected an upgraded room as the hotel was not full and had many superior rooms available. The manager kindly sorted this out for us and the room were given was of a good quality.

As Platinum member this is the 1st time that I have been considered so poorly in a Mercure Hotel No Free upgrade available upon arrival even when the hotel only has 10 rooms occupied that night, not even a welcome drink ?Restaurant closed and the option is Buffet dinner at the Novotel. Buffet only not even “a la carte” my wife does not eat so much so we went out. Out of all the Superior rooms, Room 260 might be one of the worst.view. I contacted the General Manager after check out on June 26th it took 9 days to get a response from the sales department. Pretexing "Effectively the up-grading is subject to the availability of the hotel, which only corresponds to a certain number of daily rooms. If the quota of available rooms for the dates is full, with reservations with more anticipation, unfortunately, we can’t provide the upgrade to future customers who visit us with Accor card, including platinum card." The hotel was empty.

In my reservation, I’ve asked for a matrimony bed, however when entered the room I had 2 bed room close together. Went back to the front desk and asked for a room change, at first glance there was no room available. I had to insist that I’ve reserved a matrimony bed in order to get the change. About the room: Rooms were ok, clean and tidy, but there were no a single power outlet at bed side. Moreover, there were just 1 free outlet at the middle of the room, between entrance and the room, forcing user to plug the phone and leave at the floor. There was another socket in the room (2 in the whole room. clearly insufficient) but it was used by TV. Swimming pool was fine, however many improvements should be done in this facility. Locker room are separated from the swimming pool access, forcing visitor to cross a non heated room, with a corridor to the entertainment area. Also lockers require a coin of 2€ to drop your clothes. Clients who are hosted in a hotel, are not going to a swimming pool with cash. Moreover, if client is going to have a drink isn’t better to charge it to the room? I suggest you to use token for the locker room when the staff give the towel! Inside pool area I suggest you to reduce plastic chairs in favor of chaise-lounge type accommodation. There were only 6 for all. Chairs are fine when there is a table to lean on. I've booked via your website and also ordered Breakfast, once there at checkout I had to claim that price already included Breakfast. After several check’s with front desk assistant, she found the problem and corrected the mistake. However, if I wasn't over this matter I would have been charged twice for the breakfast. One thing to fix at breakfast area the toaster makes a horrible high pitch noise very disgusting, thankfully, was far away from our sitting place. Special mention to the waiter chief, who is a great professional oriented to details and very proactive, he had everything and everyone under control and worked as he was one of the staff. Overall hotel was fine but expensive for services obtained. Its best point is its location. Hotel has a lot of potential, but is drowned by the details.

I was charged 30 euros extra for breakfast eventhough I booked and paid on accor site selecting with breakfast for two rooms. I didnt want to argue but a sad and unnecessary way to end a stay. I think the website failed or the reception wanted to make an extra dime. Also room way too hot had to sleep with the window open with noise. Mattress very low quality feeling metal springs. Bathroom barely big enough to sit on toilet. The same with both rooms so hardly bad luck. Price of parking could be cheaper. Other hotels I know there charge less for parking. So, entire stay wondering if we should have asked to change to the Novotel next door but we werent sure it to be better or not. Basically we had a much better experience in all other hotels we stayed in Andorra as we go quite often. Since I was a member I wanted to give Accor a try there...
