« A very good last minute stay »

This was booked at the last minute, but the hotel was ready for us .... nice greeting at reception, and welcome drink voucher. Breakfast selection was very good, and the temptation was to over indulge. Thanks for allowing us to take some fruit. Room good, and comfy bed. 10/10 well done

Booked a day before we arrived, as weather for Andorra was forecast heavy snow :)Welcome from reception was wonderful, as they recognised us from our stay a few weeks prio and said the same room is ready for us.Spa area welcoming, and so so needed. Must have spent 5 hours chilling in the pool and hot tub.Will be back in the New Year.

Just had a fabulous time.We made good use of the health/fitness centre. Our room was extremely comfortable. Having been slightly concerned about car parking,it was very close& extremely accessible. All the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. We shall certainly be returning. Thanks so much everyone.

I really enjoyed my stay there. There are a couple of things that could be improved on. The first one is to have a water kettle in the rooms to make some coffee or tea. The hot water is always helpful in case I want to buy some soup at the supermarket. Second, an ala carte breakfast menu. I don't eat a lot, but a few items would be helpful.

« Excellent hotel but with a sting in the tail ! »

Check in excellent, room facilities good, breakfast food choice first class and all staff friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend. HOWEVER ! We were surprised to be charged for car parking. The hotel website clearly states it has an underground car park and the information section showing chargeable facilities with a red dot does not show this against parking. We paid this as we didn’t have access to the information at that time but have requested clarification from ACCOR on this.

Check in was lovely, greeted with warm smiles. Allocated a room away from the lifts Room clean and correct. went to the pool / spa area and spent a few hours. Turn down service had left some chocolates Breakfast was good and varied. Will be back

« Good stay for the price »

Very good price. But a censurable check in upon arrival: arrogant manager in charge if the "security" for both Novotel and Mercure, was very unpleasant, it is a real pity when you arrive somewhere. On the opposite side, the Girls were perfect but under his own control, like scarred.

« Pleasant and well taken care off in the heart of Andorra »

It was great, when we checked in we noticed that there was a lose tile in the bathroom, not wanting to be confronted with it at the end of our stay we went down to inform the reception. After a slightly difficult explanation, they suggested we change rooms so they could fix the tile. Breakfast was great, nice staff though we were a bit shocked about the pork sausages still being slightly raw inside. For the rest we were glad that we could also have lunch in the hotel next door, even though we came around closing time. Very happy with the parking, big enough and a nice man helped us to our spot. Pool was great too, we hope not to have caused too much trouble my not knowing we couldn't bring our room towels. All in all nice staff, great hotel, good services. If we are ever in Andorra again, we will most likely stay with you again. Thank you!

« Much better than our last stay »

Andorra is a destination that we travel to several times a year. This visit was to see the Diva by Cirque du Soleil. We normaly stay at the Mecure as the location is perfect as the venue is literlay just over the road. We had to put our car in the public fee paying car park as the main roads near to the hotel were being re surfaced, and we could not navigate to the hotels car park. Checking was smooth, and we were given ( unprompted two drinks vouchers and an upgraded room ). The room was somewhat tired, and could have done with a makeover, but it was clean, and the air conditioning worked ( two units ). Both rooms had large LCD TVs showing a selection of channels - with little in English though ), a free mini bar with beer, carva ( the smallest bottle I have ever seen ) and soft drinks and water - and was replaced each day. The nesspresso machine was appreciated along with the 6 capsules. The room was soundproofed ( Diva was very very loud ), and we had a good view of the river and shopping center. The bathroom had a 3/4 size bath with over shower, and a good selection of toiletries ( again replaced each day ) However the extraction fan was either on low power or broken. This was not a major issue. We did not have the buffett dinner served in the adjoining Novotel, but we had breakfast, in the Mecure. This consisted of a large selection of cold cuts, fruits and cheeses. Together with chilled wine. However the hot selection ( large ) was not up to standard as it was warm and not hot. Both myself and my partner informed the staff and were told that it would be warmer the following day. It was not and we were disappointed in this. I told the hotel management on departure and they said they would investigate. Apart from this everything else was satisfactory, even the spa area had been cleaned and the gentleman on duty was helpful with the free use towels, and made sure people were informed of the services offered. The area was not busy, and we found it relaxing. The bed had an extra foam type topper and a duvet, and the curtains provided a good quality blackout. We will be back, but will probably avoid the breakfast.

« Great services but if You need wifi stay away »

Let's start fronm the good points. The hotel has surprisingly many services - a very large spa area and a rooftop terrace with mini golf field and amazing views to the valley and the mountains. Also the breakfast was better than average. However the wifi does practically work not at all, only in very limited areas nearby reception/restaurant. In rooms - no way. Nowadays having a free wifi by the hotel is a foregone conclusion - no exceptions allowed by travellers. What surpirised us most is that based on the very many reviews of the hotel the management knows very well that their wifi does not work at all but the management does absolutely NOTHING to solve the big problem. We think that is great disintressness to the basic needs of travellers. Roaming is expensive in Andorra so not keen on getting charged for it. If I were in Andorra on a business trip would for sure not come to this hotel. Despite of the nice services. The rooms are in need of renovation quite soon. The check-in procedure must have been the longest which experienced in any hotel in the world, which surprised so much - how can small things be so difficult to accomplish. And finally, put SOAP to spa showers. It was so funny that there was no soap at all. It is also a very basic need and in the great interest of the hotel as well because people go unwashed to spa, sauna etc.

Beautifully located hotel right in the city centre. Warm welcome at reception. Spacious rooms with all comfort and good quality beds. Helpful staff. We booked breakfast and it was a joy. Also the buffet resto is excellent value for money. Kids loved it. The spa on 7th is just great : sauna, hammam, whirlpool ... great to get legs & body back in shape after hiking. If we're in Andorra again, same hotel no doubt.

« A good two night stay »

This is probably the seventh time we have stayed in this hotel, and this was the best stay we have had here by a long way. We are Platinum members of the Accor Hotel loyalty club, and as such we were upgraded from the room we booked to a small junior suite overlooking the river and main road. This was the first time that this has happened with out asking, and it made the whole stay much more relaxed and enjoyable. The room was dated, but clean, with a proper Nespresso coffee machine and mini bar at our disposal which was replenished free of charge each day. The beading was much better than the superior rooms, and the air conditioning worked well. The toiletries were of a good type also. The spa facilities had been improved since we were there last year, and the area was very pleasant to use and relax in. Its just a shame that the lockers need a 2€ coin to use. Our rate included breakfast ( served 7 till 11 ) in the hotel. There was a large and very varied selection of cold and hot food. However the hot selection could have been a little hotter for English tastes. The wine was appreciated ! ( Yes wine is served for breakfast ). We had room 389

« Hotel virtually closed down! »

Although the room was nice, the hotel was virtually closed down for the summer season which was very disappointing. We were not informed in advance (or during the booking process) that the restaurant, terrace, bars etc would all be shut. We only discovered this on arrival when we went to the terrace and found we couldn't get any drinks served - being told we could go to the Novotel next door and bring drinks back with us! This is totally inappropriate. Having gone to the terrace to sit in the sun, we couldn't even find any cushions for the chairs and to make matters worse we were then locked on the balcony by a member of staff who didn't check to make sure there was no one there! Being charged the amount we paid for such poor service is bad but when we complained the reaction we had from the reception manager was even worse, with little sympathy or offer of a resolution. If this is the way things are the hotel should be shut down and everyone should be booked into the Novotel. Of our trip throughout Europe over the last 3 weeks, and having stayed in Accor hotels for many nights, I can guenuinely state that this was the worst hotel experience ever!
