I am a regular Accor client in fact they are my preferred hotel group. This hotel marking itself as a 4* Mecure I think is just not factual more 3* Ibis! It advertises the hotel as being disabled friendly, untrue, there is high step to get into the hotel, too high for a wheel chair & very difficult for a person with crutches. The toilets are between floors and from either the ground floor or the 1st floors can only be reached by 2 sets of stairs in either direction. They are not accessible by wheelchair, the doors open inwards & not outwards making it very difficult to get in or out with crutches they are extremely small. There is no bar but drinks maybe purchased from reception & served in ,what is in winter a very cold & windy reception area, it opens directly onto the street & wholly inhospitable. The whole reception area looks like something set up as a last minute thought, just a table & a couple ok computer screens, not at all professional. My initial thought was this was the back door & access to the Meridienne next door. As I have limited mobility & the 'superior' room which I booked requested overlooking sea & gardens but more importantly near to a lift or on the ground floor. My room on the third floor (number 352) was a very nice room but a very long walk from the lift in fact it could not have been further from the lift if they tried. asked to be moved to a room overlooking the sea, but this was refused. Parking had to be paid for in the underground car park & is expensive even for blue badge holders, but nobody mentioned there were several disabled parking places very nearby This hotel is in no way disability friendly & should remove this from their facilities, in fact it is totally unfriendly. I spent 650 euros for 5 days on this hotel & quite frankly it was a complete waste of money I was more tired on my return than on my arrival. I visit Nice on a regular basis & chose this hotel for its location a big mistake I will never stay there again & cannot recommend it in any way. I you have any form of disability it certainly is not for you

« Good value excellent location »

Overall very good,friendly and helpful staff on reception arrived early for my check in time but the staff checked to see if the room was available which saved us from walking round with our suitcases, also bought some train tickets with the staff printed off for us, couldn’t fault the staff and the cleaners always said hello when meeting them in the hotel, breakfast was excellent more than which we expected, the only downside was the view from the room would have liked a sea view but what we paid there was none available

Enjoyed the stay at your hotel, good rooms, nice breakfast and helpful and smiling staff. The only issue I can think about is the check-in time. This is solved a lot more efficient in other hotels I have stayed at.

Nice good located hotel with rooms with sea view. Nice and welcoming staff. The check-in procedure was not good; I had checked in online two days before with the expected arrival at noon, but when I arrived at 13.45 the room was not ready. I had to wait until 14.30 although I received an SMS at 14.02 your room is ready now although it wasn't. I ask for late check out which I got to 4.30.

We stayed at Hôtel Mercure Nice Promenade des Anglais October 17th - 22nd. As always a very pleasant experience. A comfortable room with a very nice view of the park and the sea. Attentive staff in the reception and the rest of the hotel. Cleanliness of the room and the parts of the hotel we visited was good. We especially appreciated the very special feeling of coming home even though staying at a hotel.

« Hotel with a need of improvement »

Pros: perfect location, close to everything. Cleanliness Cons: no wi-fi, try to connect all the time, but unsuccessfully - no internet. Awful smell in reception and room. Not sure is this an old building or something else, but it is very unpleasant. No soundproof in the rooms at all - you can hear everything when others talk, walk and etc. Dirty windows in a breakfast room.

« Nice location, hotel itself could use some renovation »

The location and staff were very good. However the sea front room left a bit to be desired. The decor is tired looking and the attention to detail that you'd expect for a 4-star hotel is not there. There were many stains on the carpet and curtains, no artwork in the room, etc. It was also disappointing that there is not enough room on the balcony to sit in a chair, only stand.
