We were welcomed at Reception by a lady who spoke good English and everything was made very clear. The room was as expected with three comfortable beds. Breakfast was even better than expected with bacon and sausages available in addition to the usual pastries, breads and meats.

We had a very good stay. On our way from Belgium to Les 2 Alpes this is a perfect stop over, right next to the highway. Very friendly staff and we got notified that we forgot a bag while on the way further the next day. Thank you

Nice staff, nice room, but noisy. The door did not fit well, and the walls are not well sound proofed. When someone was in the corridor, it felt the person was next to the bed. Noise could be heard from rooms next door and above. This is below the quality of an Ibis.

We had a lovely stay, we weren’t a fan of being on the second floor as the slanted roof made it difficult to get around the one side of the bed.

Mercure Auxerre-Nord is a convenient stop on the way to a destination too far to be reached in one trip or to explore the Chablis area. Rooms are functional and the breakfast buffet, wine selection for dinner and knowledgeable service are way above average.

We had a very difficult stay; we had to change rooms four times before finding one with air con. The receptionist didn’t speak English so this was difficult for my husband to check in, they were also actually quite rude. They insisted on taking a deposit on reserving a table for dinner before even seeing the menu. With my little French language we were able to communicate but would have been impossible without this. No vegetarian on the menu in the restaurant so visited the “Grill” next door who were very welcoming and even allowed dogs. The cleaning lady and the men on the reception who arrived later were both very welcome additions. Such a disappointing stay as the green areas and ground floor which we got eventually were great for the dogs. Not what I would expect from a Mercury/ Accor hotel overall.

Where to start. Rude staff who couldn’t speak English to my husband. Change of room four times before getting one with air con. No vegetarian food in the restaurant and when asked got a ‘Couldn’t be bothered’ attitude. Very disappointing as the hotel is located in a green area which is ideal for the dogs.

Staff was friendly but had no clue what they were doing therefore unable to provide service. Room was not ready when we arrived, check out was a nightmare. The whole afternoon we heard noise from the cleaning in the rooms and hallway. Place was very noisy. In the morning when we went for breakfast we saw that nothing was cleaned or removed from the night before in hallways and on the terras and reception area.

Overall in accordance with my expectations. Something is better like terrace, dinning room and breakfast.Rooms need litlle bit better standard. But room equipment is quite well.Clean place, easy to find, calm and relaxing. Stuff-excellent.

The arrival was incredibly chaotic, the lady at the reception overstrained, no overview at all. At check-out there was a gentleman who who was in the same state. He was unable to address my problems, as in an other world. The room showed that this hotel falls slowly apart. The low point was that the garden door could not be looked anymore. The receptionist was informed, but also here unable to cope with. Are the accor and Mercure managements aware of the downfall of this particular hotel? Where is the hotel manager? Why isn't there more staff?

The member of staff who greeted us on arrival was not friendly. The room was poor - roof slope meant that two of the beds could not be properly used. The menu at the restaurant was poor for children (and it opened too late) so we ate at the neraby Courtpaille. At 0630 some strangers entered our bedroom: they said that they had been given our key at reception. When I raised this with the lady at reception she blamed her colleague and did not say sorry.
