Just to avoid misunderstanding, the hotel location is perfect, the entire personal is fantastic, the breakfast is good and the ground floor where you have the bar and all shared activities is also good. But when you take the elevator and you decide to go to your room, then you see this hotel is old design. No problem with the quality of the bed but the small window and the bathroom set-up & design looks from the 80's 90's. By sharing that experience with my Local people, they told me that it would have been better to select the NOVOTEL hotel which is in my view a lower class hotel than MERCURE. In addition, if you decide to go for a digital registration at arrival, then give to your staff the adequat equipment. At minima your staff should be equipped with an Ipad or Samsung tablet more convenient than a small screen smart phone. MERCURE has a certain brand identity, so act at the level of your brand

The hotel is well placed and overall comfortable, has a nice bar/restaurant. Nevertheless, I had many issues during my stay. Most of them were quickly solved by the hotel staff. Even though, I wouldn't expect these sort of problems even in a 3 star hotel: 1. Upon arrival, I waited more than 15 min in the reception for someone to show up and give me the card to access my bedroom. 2. The remote control of the TV was not operational. 3. There was an electrical blackout in some floors of the hotel, including mine. 4. The invoice was incorrect, billing breakfast without request. The invoice is also difficult to understand and lack transparency. On the restaurant bill (HT = 50.91; TTC = 56.00 Euros), then tax over the restaurant bill (HT = 4.17; TTC = 5.00). Why tax over a tax? 5. The parking is quite dirt. 6. A dog was left alone in a bedroom in my floor on Sunday morning and it was desperately barking and scratching the door...

nice room - service can be improved When I asked to a printed copy of my invoice, I was told that it is no longer possible and that it will be sent by email. I never received the invoice and I have to call the hotel to get it sent. This is time loss for a business stay where we expect everything to be smooth and easy.

The lady at the desk could not speak English, many emails I received were in French language only. Took a long time to order a beer at the beer which was very expensive ! There were no croissants and yoghurt at the breakfast only when I was finished.

- phone in the room didn’t work - Didn’t receive password to get out of car park, had to work it out and come back up to reception - karaoke in bar on a Wednesday nite that could be heard in the bedroom until finished at 10:30pm - Receipt not emailed as agreed and had to be contacted to be requested - Food was excellent though!

My arrival at the hotel was easily a stressful situation as I had unbelievable left my laptop bag near the train station on the street when checking directions towards the hotel. In my defence it had been a long day as I trained by train all the way from Blackpool in the UK. All the trains and connections went smoothly but shortly before arriving at the hotel I turned to look at my shoulder as something felt wrong and I stopped dead in my tracks and said to my travelling colleague, “I have left my laptop bag back on the street”. The bag contained my company laptop, personal iPad, return train tickets and most importantly; passport. I toute suite ran back along the road to hopefully find where I stupidly left it. It was no longer there. I went into the bar and newsagent to ask if by any chance someone had found it on the street but it had not. After speaking to my colleague on the phone I returned to check in at the hotel. Just before entering the hotel, I joked with my colleague that I had printed my reservation and it was in the bag and I may somehow be re-acquainted with the bag. He just laughed and said there was no chance. A5 the reception desk from your amazing reception staff I was asked my name. While I gave her my response as was saying to myself, “Do not ask for my passport”. When I told her my name, she asked if I had travelled by train. Immediately I was surprised and thought “Wow”, how would you know. I turned to my colleague with a look of puzzlement. She then subtly asked If I had had I had something missing, and that was when my disaster turned into a very lucky situation. The security staff hat train station contacted the hotel about the abandoned bag and your staff was key to my be re-acquainted with all my possessions. I am truely grateful and I hope you recognise what a great team you have at Le Havre.

Very nicely located hotel in downtown Le Havre. The rooms were very clean as were the bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable. The staff at the hotel, the bar, and the restaurant or a very friendly, professional, and helpful.
