Perth's Most Adorable Neighbourhoods

Part of the fun of travelling to a new destination with your sweetheart is exploring unfamiliar neighbourhoods and taking in life in a different city. If you and your partner are taking a trip to Perth in the near future, don't skip the neighbourhoods on this list - they'll definitely amp up the romance and fun on your holiday!

Fremantle

This is one of Perth's most beloved neighbourhoods by locals and travellers alike. Located about 30 minutes south of the CBD, Fremantle is easy to get to and has heaps of fun things to do. Fremantle is an excellent place to visit in the morning if you enjoy starting your day with a cup of coffee. It's home to "Cappuccino Strip", a stretch of road home to some of the best cafes in Australia, as well as a number of great restaurants and trendy bars. For something a little spooky, you can tour the underground tunnels that once made up Fremantle Prison, which was built by the convicts living in the city in the 1850s.

Scarborough Beach

If you and your date want to spend some time soaking up the sun, head to Scarborough Beach, one of Perth's best shoreside destinations.

You can easily take a public bus here, and there are a number of other beaches within walking distance if you feel like trying out some different sandy spots. Feel free to stay all day and into the evening, as there are some fun nightclubs in this region as well.

Subiaco

Art-lovers should pay a visit to the suburb of Subiaco, located very close to the city center. This is a great place for a movie date, as it's home to the Regal Theatre, an art deco building that has been showing films for 75 years.

If you prefer live theatre, check out the Subiaco Arts Center, which puts on a number of performances every year.
